Stress x Iskall x Bdubs - Running makes you sleepy
Warning: people trying to kill someone (not very descriptive or smth just thought I'd mention)
Fluff at the end though, no worries!
Running.
It was the only thing he could do.
Run as far as he could, as fast as he could.
Run until his legs gave up on him and he needed to lay down.
Run until he passed out in a barn in the middle of nowhere.
Run.
Run.
Run.
He only used his mind to run.
Run away from them.
Run away from the people who're trying to murder him.
Run away from the people who he thought were his friends.
The landscape around Bdubs changed. The birch trees opened up into an open place. It wasn't big which was great, because it meant no one would immediately notice when they flew above it. Stupid elytras always make it way to easy to be spotted. Bdubs missed his elytra. He missed not minding to be spotted. He missed the days his friends didn't try to freaking kill him.
Bdubs looked around the area and decided this should be a good hiding spot. In his mind he made a checklist, it was more of an essentials list because he didn't know if he could survive for long without them.
A few things on the list, Bdubs already had, like water from the river he had seen a few hours ago. Other stuff, like a safehouse or enough food for the next few days, he didn't have yet.
He decided that making some sort of safe hut would distract him enough for now, and since the building was only needed temporarily, Bdubs could just make it as ugly as he wants it to be.
Not that it was going to be ugly, do you even know Bdubs?
So he gathered some birch and oak wood and began building. After making a layout, which was just a weird square, Bdubs started placing blocks. It was easy, he had built so many wooden huts, so Bdubs let his mind wander.
He thought back to this morning, when he left his part of the mansion, only to be greeted with an irritated Doc, complaining about his headache. Bdubs had only tried to help by offering some water, but Doc had given him the meanest look he'd ever seen and lashed out, trying to grab Bdubs by his neck.
So he ran.
Not away, but to other people.
When you fight with your first best friend, you go to the second. A good idea when you had a fight and want to solve it, maybe not when your best friend had a headache and then tried to kill you.
Bdubs didn't have that much time to react before Keralis jumped on his back and put his arms around his neck. He had only entered the base about two seconds ago, but Keralis seemed to be waiting for him.
Doc probably texted Keralis, didn't he?
Bdubs could only remember murmuring something like 'let go of me', before letting himself fall on his back, crushing Keralis under him.
The moment he was out of his arms, he ran.
Away from people this time.
Bdubs placed the last block on his safety hut, and looked at it from the front for a moment.
The hut was about four blocks tall and had a diagonal roof. The windowsills weren't filled with windows and the oak and the birch didn't look as good together, but it was okay for the time being.
The sun had begun to set and just as Bdubs put his bed in his hut, he heard a rocket go off and people landing on the forest ground.
'Oh no,' was the only thing that came to Bdubs' mind. 'How had they found him so quickly?'
Bdubs grabbed his axe that was laying on the ground and held it up high, ready to attack anyone who crossed him.
"Hello?" a voice questioned from outside.
Bdubs would've recognized it, if he wasn't so damn nervous. His axe was shaking in his hand, to the point he was surprised he hadn't dropped it yet.
"I know someone's in the house, meaning you probably ran too right?" the person said.
"Or they have no idea what you're talking about and they're sleeping" another voice said. "Let's not invade their privacy luv"
A sigh was heard and after that, the sound of someone sitting down on the grass.
Bdubs slowly shifted to the door. Through the hole in the birch door, he could see two people sitting on the grass a little bit to the right side of the house. They seemed to be talking to each other softly and giggling a bit at each other's jokes.
They seemed to be normal.
Not trying to murder anyone.
So he opened the door.
Iskall and Stress immediately looked up and a sad look fell onto their faces when they saw Bdubs. The poor man seemed exhausted, bags hanging under his red eyes.
"Hi Bdubs," Stress softly spoke. "It's me, Stress, you know me right?"
A small nod came from the man.
"Okay luv, is it okay if we come in or do you want to be alone?"
Bdubs thought for a moment. Can he trust the two? They seem friendly, but that could change any moment. But in the end, did it really matter if they came into his hut? If they didn't get the headache sickness, it would be rude to leave them outside. If they did, would a birch door stop them from entering the hut?
It would definitely not.
Bdubs cleared his throat before speaking.
"I'm fine with you two coming in. It is a bit small though."
A smile formed on both Stress' and Iskall's face.
"Thanks dude," Iskall said. "I don't know what we would've done without you. The other hermits have gone crazy."
Iskall made a weird face when he said crazy, which earned a giggle from both Stress and Bdubs.
"You can come in now you know? It's beginning to get dark."
Iskall and Stress nodded and grabbed their backpacks before heading into the small hut.
It wasn't that small. The three of them could walk around freely without problem. They did need to place all three if their beds next to each other to keep as much space as possible. If they hadn't, Iskall would've probably tripped over the furnace about four times.
It was fully dark out now, but before they went to bed, they ate some of the food Iskall had brought with them and told some stories, trying to forget what happened that day.
"So," Iskall laughed. "So I put the charrot on top of his tower and he was so confused like it had flown over or something."
The three of them broke out in laughter but were interrupted by a yawn coming from Bdubs.
"Let's go to bed," Stress suggested. "It's been a long day for all of us."
The trio climbed into bed. Stress on the left side, Bdubs on the right and Iskall in the middle.
Iskall had fallen asleep as soon as their head touched their pillow and Stress followed soon after.
Bdubs couldn't find a comfortable position and ended up turning around a million times. Iskall shifted, and for a moment Bdubs thought he had woken them up, but he was proven otherwise as an arm was put around him and he was pulled into Iskall's side. He raised his head to look at the left side of the bed, to see Stress also snuggled up against Iskall.
Bdubs hesitated for a moment, before putting his head down on Iskall's chest and throwing an arm around them to grab Stress' hand. It was comfortable and he fell asleep after cuddling the other two for a few minutes.
And he forgot about the world for a moment and just enjoyed his time with Stress and Iskall.
-----------------------------------
I wrote this one-shot at like 3 am after I had a nightmare. It's like my nightmare, but with a good ending, instead of me getting killed.
I hope you enjoyed it! I love Stresskalldubs (I think that's the name) and I thought this was a good opportunity to implement that ship in here!
XO
