Mumbo was coming over and Grian was excited. He and Mumbo hadn't talked a lot since Mumbo and Iskall got together. He was happy for his fellow architechs but he was also jealous.

Having had a crush in Mumbo since the beginning of the season 6 was weird. Grian just knew from the moment the redstoner walked out of that portal. His handsome face with a dashing moustache looked at him and smiled. Grian fell in love with Mumbo that instance and his love only expanded. Nothing was more absurd but than Iskall's story though. He talked some bullshit about falling in love while working on Sahara.

Grian couldn't believe that.

The entire time they were working on Sahara, they were working on seperate parts or Iskall was yelling at Mumbo for doing something wrong as if he didn't make mistakes himself. It made Grian's blood boil. When they were finally done and could open Sahara, Grian was relieved than anyone else that they were finally done and they didn't have to fight anymore.

A few days after Sahara opened, Iskall announced that him and Mumbo were dating, although Mumbo didn't look as happy as Iskall was. Maybe it was just Grian's imagination, but he could have sworn he saw Mumbo confused anytime Iskall brought up they were boyfriends as if he didn't like being reminded of it.

Grian was working on some finishing touches for the front of his mega mansion. He sighed, knowing that after the front he needed to start on the back. Even thinking about it gave him a headache. Behind him he heard someone land. Not just anybody, but the one and only Mumbo Jumbo.

Grian didn't even have to turn around to know. He could tell it was the redstoner based on the landing the hermit made and the fact that he couldn't think if anybody else who would visit him at the moment.

"Hi Gri", the smaller hermit heard behind him.

Oh, how he missed that voice. He hadn't heard it for a long time.

"Hi Mumbo. Nice landing you did there", Grian said mocking Mumbo.

Yeah, that's a great way to say hello to your crush. It's obvious why nobody loves you.

Mumbo chuckled a bit, it seemed a bit forced. Which trew Grian off, he never heard a fake chuckle from Mumbo before. There must be something wrong.

Grian turned around and faced the other hermit.

Mumbo looked like the only thing he had been doing for his entire life was crying. His eyes were red and puffy and Grian saw a few tears rolling down the taller boy's face. Grian looked at Mumbo in confusion.

Why was he crying? Shouldn't he be at Iskall's base instead then? What happened? A million questions raced through Grian's mind.

Mumbo must have noticed the look on Grian's face and said something Grian didn't expect.

"H-he broke up with me", Mumbo stutterd on the verge of crying.

Grian didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around Mumbo and let him cry. After a while Mumbo calmed down a bit and the two hermits decided to go to Grian's base as that was the base closest to where they were standing.

Mumbo and Grian entered the hobit hole. Grian quickly made 2 cups of tea, one for Mumbo and one for him. The pair sat down.

"What happened?", Grain asked softly not wanting to scare the redstoner off. Mumbo hesitated a bit, before deciding that telling Grian was definitely a good idea. It's why he went to Grian in the first place, right?

"He.. Uhm.."

Come on Mumbo you can do this.

"It...uh...started out with a fight. We did just do Hermit Challenges and Iskall was a bit frustrated to say the least."

Mumbo and Iskall met up at the Hermit Challenges area, which was transformed in something great by Iskall.

"So what is the plan this time?" Iskall said, a bit grumpier than usual. Mumbo had learned that Iskall liked the concept of Hermit Challenges, but didn't like the way Mumbo tweakt or added something to the game every time. For Mumbo, the teasing was the best part of the game. And that's what it was, a game.

This time he suggested that they'd put all the challenges in one hopper, which meant you had 50% chance you got one of your own challenges. It was a good addition, because it made the challenges either more intense or less intense, you either took the chances of getting an awful challenge you came up with yourself or play it safe by making the challenges you wrote yourself easier.

For Mumbo it turned out to be the latter. His challenge was 'Tame a dog', which was something he wanted to do anyway. For Iskall however, the change was something he regretted agreeing to.

Apparently Iskall had written 'Defeat 10 withers in one episode' as a challenge and he got the challenge himself. This made Iskall mad at Mumbo, for some reason. It was not Mumbo's fault. He only suggested to put all of the challenges in the hopper, Iskall agreed with it. Iskall had written the challenge himself. Even though it wasn't Mumbo's fault, Iskall stood there yelling at Mumbo as if he just killed his entire family and afterwards burned his house down.

Grian sat there next to Mumbo a bit shocked. He always had a voice in the back if his head telling him Iskall and Mumbo's relationship wasn't the best, that something was wrong, but didn't think Iskall would yell at Mumbo. It was only yelling right? If Iskall hurt Mumbo, he won't know what's coming.

"What did he say?", Grian asked after a few moments of silence.

"He told me I was insane and irritating. After that he told me I didn't spend enough time with him. We've been hanging out the entire season, I canceled fun things to be with him and now that I have my base I need to work on, he's become more needy and demanded I stayed away from every other hermit."

Mumbo didn't seem sad anymore, just angry and frustrated. It was weird seeing him like this. The redstoner was usually pretty calm and Grian didn't think he had seen him this frustrated before. Mumbo continued.

"How stupid I have been. He confinced me he loved me, incisting we would be a great couple and after a while I began believing it. I was so lonely, I just... And now... He doesn't even care." Mumbo put his head in his hands and sniffled.

"I care"

"What?"

"I know breakups are tough, but I'm here and I care no matter what you say or do."

Mumbo looked surprised, but engulfed the builder in a tight hug immediately.

"Thanks Gri! You're the bestest friend I could have ever asked for." It hurt, it truly did. Grian patted Mumbo's back.

"I know, I know."
