This one-shot takes place in double life, near the beginning when everything was peaceful! Happy reading!

"Hey Etho, catch!" Joel threw an apple to Etho and he caught it. He pulled down his mask and took a bite before pulling it back up.

"Etho?"

"Yes, Joel?"

"I don't think I've ever seen your face, really. Just now I saw part of the side, but other than that never."

"Oh, wow. I guess, since you aren't in hermitcraft."

"I bet you're pretty."

"I- what?"

"You heard me. I said that I, Joel Beans, bet that you, Etho Slab, are pretty without the mask."

"Ah, ok... I did hear you right." The two boys built their base, block by block. Eventually they got into a playful fight, throwing blocks at each other. Etho threw a block of wool and missed. Joel spoke up. "Missed me! Missed me! Now you gotta ki-"

Etho pulled down his mask and grabbed Joel's face, cutting him off with a kiss. Joel was flustered, while Etho laughed a little bit. The laughing stopped as Etho realized what he had just done.

"I'm so sorry! Why did I do that-" Etho started apologizing, before Joel grabbed Etho's face for another kiss. When they finally pulled away and Etho pulled up his mask, Joel was first to speak.

"I was right."

"About what?"

"You're pretty. Extremely pretty."

"I- I- Ah.... No I'm not. You're way prettier." Joel and Etho went back and forth about this for about 30 seconds before concluding the other was prettier. They continued working on their base instead of throwing blocks. There was an awkward silence between them as they both blushed from the interaction.

"Are we just not going to talk about the fact we just kissed?" Joel asked.

"What's to talk about?" Etho responded.

"I don't know, maybe the fact that I saw your face?" Joel had sarcasm in his voice.

"Hmm... Sure, we can talk about that." Etho sat next to Joel on top of some blocks.

"I just..." Joel started.

"Love you." Etho finished.

"Huh?"

"Like, a lot."

"Well then, you like it if I..." Joel took a finger and pulled down Etho's mask before pressing their lips together. Etho leaned into the kiss. When they pulled away from each other, Etho spoke.

"Yes, I do like it when you do that." Etho leaned over Joel in a way that Joel had to bend his neck up to see him.

"Anything else you think I would like?" Etho asked in a controlling way. Joel blushed at this.

"I- Ah... Um..."

"Wow... You flustered, pretty boy? How cute."

"I think you would like this!" Joel spat out. He grabbed Etho's neck and pulled him down for a kiss. Joel opened his mouth, which surprised Etho, and forced his tongue into Etho's mouth. They fell into this passionate kiss for a whole minute, which felt like hours to them. Just them, enjoying each other, loving each other.

"Hmmm... You were right. I did like that. You taste good, by the way." Etho spoke.

"I'm glad. You taste good too. You taste delicious." Joel responded. Both were shocked at what just happened but tried not to show it. They finished their base together and went to bed that night holding each other close.
