When Cub entered their home, the first thing he saw was Scar draped in multiple blankets next to the fire. Of course, it was genuinely quite cold out. Cub discarded his coat and boots, and sat next to his boyfriend.

"You cold?" Scar confirmed this. "I hate winter..." He groaned, wrapping the blanket tighter around himself, if that was possible. Jellie, who had been lounging on the couch until that moment, strutted Over. She asserted herself into Scars lap, purring contently.

Scar had to smile, and ran his hand through her fur. Cub smiled at his boyfriend. "I'll go and make some hot chocolate." Scar's eyes lit up, childishly. "With marshmallows!"

Cub chuckled fondly. "Yes, with marshmallows." With that, Cub got up to go and prepare the sweet treats.

(AN: I have no clue how to make hot chocolate because my dad always does it for me lmao so imma just focus on Scar babi.)

Scar closed his eyes, as Jellie's purring soothed him. He hadn't felt so at peace for ages. The gentle roar of the flames made him smile gently. Only one thing could add to this...

And it wasn't the hot chocolate Cub was holding, although that was pretty high up that list.

As Cub held out the warm drink, Scar was careful not to wake Jellie, who had at this point fallen asleep. He brought the mug to his lips, realising that Cub, indeed, had added marshmallows just as he promised.

As the hot liquid touched his tongue, he pulled away quickly, the hot chocolate sloshing over the edges of the mug. Scar had underestimated how hot the drink would be.

Cub had since settled himself back down next to Scar, and laughed quietly. "Yeah. They're hot."

Scar pouted, before leaning into Cub, who wrapped his arm around his shoulder, pulling him closer. Jellie mewed, moving to sit between them.

Scar now realised the one thing he was missing that made this all better, was Cub.

They both spent the rest of the evening cuddling.
