Reyna didn't have the best childhood.

Some nights, her new father would be happy, laughing with the family.

But, the majority of nights Reyna locked herself in her and her sister's room, hiding from her adoptive father's drunken wrath.

It used to be so much better. When she was young, her old father had been the kindest man she knew. What went wrong, you might ask?

When she was young, she had been taken from her real parents. She had only been five, who could do this to a child?!

The young Avian hybrid tried her best to copy with the fact she'd never see her family again. She was right.

Not three months later, a new 'family' came to adopt her. The mom had lost her first baby to a miscarriage and only now managed to want to adopt a child. Reyna was that child.

Being an Avian hybrid in a family of Void Walkers tough. She had to quickly get used to the thin air of the void.

After a year, the family was 'blessed' with a baby boy. That's when things started going downhill, fast. He took all the attention away from her. Now you might say 'but he's a baby, it'll be better after a few years.'

Sure, the mom still loved and cared for Reyna, but the dad started to dislike her. He obviously favored his son, as he was his own blood after all.

Whenever the 'siblings' would get into a fight, the dad would always take the son's side, no matter what. Reyna wasn't even allowed to speak up against him anymore.

It only got worse as time went on. Day after day, week after week, month after month. It soon turned into years. Reyna was becoming more distant from her 'family.'

Over that time period, two more children had been born. Sisters, born only 11 months apart. Unsurprisingly, the sisters grew attached to Reyna.

As Reyna became a teenager, she started to isolate herself from everyone. She would stay in her room, and not come out unless it was for food and drink or for the bathroom.

She was starting to dislike spending any time with a family that she knew didn't really care about her. The mom was too busy with the other children for Reyna, and the dad already disliked her.

Reyna contemplated running away several time, but always backed off. Where would she even go?

That sealed it. She was trapped.

One day, it all changed. Her, her brother, and her mom were all collecting supplies in an End City. She was heading back and crossing over the void when she felt two hands shove her from behind. It was her brother, who had an horrifying smirk on his face while her 'mom' screamed in terror.

Reyna fell and fell, wings frozen from being used so much when flying around the End City. She awaited her immanent death. At least her horrible life would end there.

Reyna screwed her eyes shut as shockwaves of pain filled her body. Then, nothing. She was just floating in nothingness. She tried to move her wings, only to find they weren't responding. Great, she got unstuck from one bad situation, and ended up in a worse one.

Guess only time will tell when she'll finally be able to leave this place...
