"Imprinting?" I asked as I frowned. I remembered hearing about it from somewhere but I couldn't remember what it was. "Why do you ask?"

"Well... um... imprinting is basically the involuntary mechanism by which Quileute shape-shifters find their soul-mates. And um... I -" Said Paul nervously.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I imprinted on you." He said.

"W-what?" I asked not believing what I was hearing.

"When I first bumped into you in the hallway at school I imprinted on you. My wolf basically instantly fell in love with you, you're my soul mate. I know that this is a hell of a lot to process and I need to tell you now that you don't need to feel pressured or anything. You don't even need to accept it, we could just stay friends or whatever you want. I just had to tell you." He said. To say that I was shocked was an understatement, I mean I really, really like him, definitely more than a friend.

"When you say your wolf imprinted on me, does that mean that only your wolf likes me and not actually you?" I asked.

"Of course I like you! I mean yes my wolf imprinted on you but it wasn't just my wolf. I really like you Hermione, more than I've ever liked anyone before. And more than a friend." He replied as he shuffled closer to me on the blanket.

"This is a lot to take in." I mumbled.

"I know it is and you don't have to make the decision now or anything, I just had to tell you." He said.

I turned to face him and instantly knew my decision. "I don't need any time to think. I really like you Paul and just because you've imprinted on me doesn't mean that I'm going to change my mind or anything. If anything I like you even more for being so honest with me. And at least I know that you'll be a great boyfriend." I said smiling at him.

His face broke out into a grin and then he said, "Speaking of boyfriends and girlfriends. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"I'd love to." I said before I leaned up and kissed him. I placed my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him closer to me as he ran one of his hands through my hair as the other encircled my waist bringing me closer to him. He nibbled on my bottom lip asking for entrance, I opened my mouth slightly and allowed his tongue to explore my mouth. We finally broke apart due to the need of air becoming too great. He leaned down and placed a single sweet kiss on my lips before pulling back. I couldn't help but grin up at him as he grinned lopsidedly at me as he leaned his forehead against mine.

"I should probably be taking you home now, it's getting late." He said before he kisses me again.

"Okay." I said smiling as he stood up before he helped me up. He took my hand and we began to walk back through the woods towards Paul's motorbike.

"Are you doing anything tomorrow?" He asked as we walked.

"Actually I need to visit the Cullens." I said. I knew that the shapeshifters and the vampires didn't used to get on well but they were doing okay now.

"Really? Why?" He asked.

"I talked to Harry today and he's found out that the death eaters aren't working alone anymore, they've teamed up with the Volturi to fight us. They want to kill Harry, myself, the members of the Order of the Phoenix, your pack and the Volturi want the Cullens dead because of Bella's daughter Renesme. Harry thinks that the only way we can stand a chance is if we have some vampires on our side. And at the moment the Cullens don't really like the Volturi so we need them as much as they need us. It would also be great if you could ask Sam and the others if they'd be willing to help." I replied.

"Wow that's bad." Said Paul.

"Tell me about it, it was bad enough just the rogue death eaters trying to kill me and my friends but now we have to fight with the leader vampires and most powerful vampires." I said.

"Well I can speak to Sam but I know that he'll agree to help because our pack and everyone are also in danger and he'll want to help especially against the Volturi." Said Paul.

"Thank you, Paul." I replied as I kissed his cheek.

We made it to his motorbike and Paul got on first followed by me. I wrapped my arms tightly around him and rested my head against his back as he started up the engine. It didn't take long for Paul to drive to my house and before I knew it we stopped outside my house.

I climbed off of the bike and faced Paul who was still sat on his bike.

"Thank you for a lovely date Paul." I said.

"Your welcome Hermione. By the way do you want me to ask Jacob if he'll take you to the Cullens tomorrow, he's one of the only ones who actually seems to get on with them but only because he's good friends with Bella and he imprinted on her daughter." Said Paul.

"Really? I didn't know that. And it would be great if Jacob took me. I didn't really like the idea of going on my own." I said.

"Okay I'll send him round at ten. Good night Hermione. If you need me just give me a call." He said before he kissed me on the lips.

"Night Paul." I said smiling before I walked up to my front door as he waved at me before he drove off.

I walked into my house and locked the door behind me before I walked straight up to my room. I got changed into a pair of pyjama bottoms and a baggy quidditch jersey that belonged to Harry before I climbed into bed. I knew it was going to be different going to sleep without Paul in the house but I still fell asleep with a smile on my face thinking about Paul.
