Cam heard a familiar voice coming from one the guys phone, catching her attention. She knows that voice, it wasn't very hard to miss. Across the dance room Matt and lot of the group members crowd around him and his iPhone as the Sons of Adam song played.

'Oh, all I know is when I want to see a brighter night I have to go back to that old boardwalk; under that flickering light the same place where I held her close in my arms; knowing she was all mine at that moment; and kissed her. Oooohh yeah, she was all mine for that little while.'

Cam's eyebrows came together as she walked over to them, “What's that?”

“Oh.”, Matt said, stopping the song and cleared his throat. “Nothing. SOA just released a new song, nothing big.”

“Oh.”, Cam said, forming a small o shape with her mouth. It's Friday and she had manage to avoid Nat this whole time. The big news of his baby drama was released the day after and it was on magazine covers everywhere and let not forget Nat's little show down with Seth, but that didn't make it as big as Nat's baby drama. From what she heard, his parents had a long talk with him.

It has been none stop talk, it made his confess about her on TV seem so unimportant now. Who doesn't love a good scandal when it comes to having a kid as a teenager though? So many stuff was said even Cam knew was untrue, but a lot also could be.

“So Cam, have you thought about it?”, Matt asked.

She gave him a confused look before she remember what he was talking about. She nodded, “Yeah, sounds fun.”, she said, talking about the group and some people from school going out to the lake tonight since it the last chance to go before it got to cold. She doesn't understand why some people insist going inside that lake when it's already cold when it gets dark. It was mostly just to go and hang out.

Cam was sitting down on the grass with her headphones plug in her phone as she listen to the SOA song. She didn't know Nat was coming out with a new song and it was surprisingly really good. All his songs were good, a lot always made it on the top ten, but she never actually took the time to sit down and listen to them.

This song was different from his last album, it was like his first ever album where the songs had a lot of meaning and not just about partying and drinking. She already know his third album going to deal with and make him go far.

“Cam, come on!”, Brittney said, running passed her over towards where everyone was playing volleyball.

“I'm okay.”, she yelled.

“Oh, your not fun!”, Brittney yelled back.

Cam just went back to listening to the song while replying it. She thought about being in LA on the boardwalk with Nat, so many memories were rushing back. She had enjoyed going on the boardwalk with all the lights, games, and food. Of course he never kissed her under a flickering street lamp, but their was a hug under a flickering street lamp.

She closed her eyes and sighed, remember how happy she felt being in his arms then feeling bad about because of Seth. It was more of going back to ignoring him in school with a few text here and there. Nat seems to be more in her head lately then Seth.

She placed her room on her lap and rubbed her hands. It was a little chilly and she stupidly had to wear one of her summer dress. She should have worn her little sweater with it knowing she was going out here tonight where the wind was blowing the cold lake water.

She rubbed her arms a little and wondered if she was going to survive tonight.

“Oh, my God! Come over here Ray!”, Chrissy yelled, catching Cam's attention and she felt a hand on her shoulder for a quick second before Ray ran passed her a little, turning around, and waved to her before running over to the people playing volleyball.

She had forgot Ray was invited to come. Guess hearing Nat new song made her forget all about it. She wonders how Ray got here since she said she would have to find a ride. Her parents wouldn't drive all the way here to just leave and pick her up again, right?

The next person to run passed her Dan to go join his friends in the game to. Her mouth formed a small 'o' shape and she had this feeling in her gut as she felt someone come up behind her. She forced her head not to turn around. In the corner of her left eye she saw someone sit down next to her.

“Hey.”, Nat said and she quickly put her phone screen off so he wouldn't see what she was listening to.

She forced her head to look up at him, “Hey.”, she said quietly. What wanted to know what he was doing here so badly, she was sure he wasn't invited.

Seeing the question on her face and he put the blue and brown knitted blanket he was holding on the ground, “Ray told me was coming after practice and I invited myself to come. Dan was apparently already invited but since he doesn't have his license I had to drive them both.”

“Oh.”, she said, looking away and rubbed her hands together.

“Are you cold?”, he asked.

She shook her head, “No, I'm fine.”

“Okay.”, he said. “Why aren't you down there playing with everyone?”

“Not into playing volleyball right now.”, she said, her voice was very quiet since she was hoping he'll take a hint and not talk to her. It just felt a little awkward right now.

“Seems like your not having any kind of fun.”, he said. “Was this happening before or after I got here.”

“Before.”, she said, then looked up at him. “I didn't know SOA was coming out with a new song.”

He bit his bottom lip and nodded once, “Yeah, my manager thought it would be a good idea. . .with what's happening—look, your cold.”, he said as he saw her rub her right arm. She protested as he opened the blanket and wrapped it around her.

“I didn't need your blanket.”, she said a little coldly but she wrapped herself better with the warm blanket.

“Well I guess it's a good thing it's not mine but Dan.”, he said. “But he's flirting with Darcy Freeman to much I doubt he'll even care.”

It was quiet when neither of them decided to say anything. Cam looked down at her lap and she just felt so sad with Nat being next to her. She wasn't sure if she was mad at him but she was sad that she so badly just wanted his arm to be around her. She wanted something she knew she shouldn't have.

“It's not mine.”, he said and she gave him a confused look. “Amber's baby, it isn't mine.”

“How to do you know? What? You didn't sleep with her?”, she asked, her voice a little sarcastic.

Nat looked away and sucked in his lips for a second, “I did—it was when I came back the first time the first night. I was high—“

She couldn't help but snort, “Of course.”

“She threw herself at me and I didn't do anything.”, he said. “But I know I was safe with her.”, he said as he looked back up at her with a serious look. “You hear all the rumors, it can't possibly be mine. She way to big to be three months.”

“Some women just look bigger, Nat.”, she said. “I can deal with anything but when it comes to you having a child, I wont accept it.”, she hissed as she got up and walked away, holding the blanket close to her as she walked away.

“Cam, wait.”, he said, following next to her. “You have to trust me when I say it's not mine.”

She just ignored him as they continued to walk and went into the woods.

“I have already went through this before over a year ago, it was never made public, but a girl tried to say her baby was mine and when I got a test, it wasn't.”, he said. “Amber only saying it's mine because she wants her fifteen minute of fame.”

“Just leave me alone, Nat.”, she said. “This isn't just about Amber, it's about Seth. You started the fight.”

“Yeah, I did.”, he admitted without a fight. “We all knew it was coming, I'm not going to apologies for it. I'm only sorry that it hurt you.”

“I'm not talking about this.”, she said.

He groaned heavily and he grabbed her arm, making her stop and turn to him, “I was fighting for you, Cam. Because I'm in love with you.”, he said.

“Nat, don't.”, she said, not wanting to hear any of this because if she does she'll fall for his words and that's something she doesn't want to happen.

“Why are you so blind?”, he asked, letting go of her arm. “Why can't you see you don't love him, you love me. You can't stay away from me as much as I want to be with you.”

“You're always there and right now, I want to be away from you.”, she said.

He started chuckling, “Your such a lair, Cam. Just stop listening to your head for once or I'm going to have to take a big hammer and knock some sense in you.”

Her mouth dropped open and she glared at him, “Your the one that made it so hard, Nat! How—how could you just sleep with me and never talk to me?”

His mouth dropped this time, “Is that the reason the whole time? Cam, I'm sorry! I'm really sorry, I was just so insecure and when TJ told me those lies I didn't know what to believe. I thought you were trying to get back at me for leaving. How many times to do I have to say sorry? In twenty different languages? This is now though, I want to make everything all better.”

Her eyes stung up with tears and they slipped out to quickly before she could stop them, making her squeeze her eyes shut. Her brain was telling her not to do what she was going to do, but she did anyways. She opened her arms and wrapped them around Nat's waist, hugging him as she laid her forehead against his chest, crying.

She felt Nat's arm go around her and hold her tightly. She felt so warm with him holding her and she laid her cheek against his chest now, trying to stop herself from crying. When she could stop the tears from coming, she took one arm away to wipe her face.

Nat took her wrist and she gave him a confused look but he quickly kissed her. Her eyes widen but she closed them as she kissed him back. She was ignore her head that wanted to tell her this was a bad idea and that he was just going to hurt her again. It was her own paranoia talking.

Nat pulled away first, “I'll be a better boyfriend this time.”, he said, giving her a small smile as he pressed his forehead against hers.

Just staring into his beautiful gray eyes made her heart beat fast. She gave him a smile and wrapped her arms around his neck, “I hate how much you make me love you.”

His smile just grew as he kissed her again. She stood up on her tip toes to press her lips against his harder.

After a few moment, a gasp is what broke them apart and Cam saw Kim standing a dozen feet away, with her hands against her mouth, and Chris looked down at her annoyed, “Your so loud sometime. We were suppose to be sneaky when finding them.”

“I was just surprised, don't blame me!”, she said.

“It wasn't a big surprise we'll find that like that.”, he said. “You knew they'll end up back together sooner or later.”

“Yeah, now I want my thirty dollars.”, she said back.

Cam just brought her hand up to her hand and looked away blushingly.
