Sitting in the cold hospital room
My hands were joined in prayer
While in other room you were fighting between life and death
The fear of losing you was slowly eating me inside.
Tears refused to stop rolling down my eyes.

My eyes were eager to see you again
With the same smile that you held each time you would look at me
I just wanted to make sure you were alright
But the time seemed to have stopped
The night was getting really long.

I was desperate to meet you
But my patience was being tested too
