CHAPTER TWO

Elisa walked on the Isle of the Lost, smiling brightly. She was excited to bring five VKs over to Auradon. They each got to pick one, she felt honored she got to pick one. She wasn't technically a VK, but she had lived there for a few years and been banished there just like the other villains. So it was only right that she got a say in who came over as well.

She had changed into Isle clothing to blend in here. She couldn't wear what she had in Auradon here. It would've made her stick out and draw attention. And not everyone on the Isle likes people from Auradon. Some of them could be really dangerous. She had already picked her VK and was heading to their place now. She couldn't wait to bring him to Auradon and hopefully, he could have his happily ever after. Her thoughts were interrupted when she was shoved into the wall of an alleyway. She grunted and winced as her head hit the wall, causing her vision to go blurry for a moment. She blinked a few times, clearing her vision.

"Well, well, well." A familiar voice drawled, smirking down at her. "Look what the cat dragged in. You're looking well, lass. Too well."

Her heart races at the familiar Scottish accent and she couldn't help the way her lips curve up into a smile. "Harry." She breathed out, looking up at him. He was even more handsome than she remembered. His blue eyes were staring into hers, and she couldn't stop the blush that formed on her cheeks.

"Elisa," He said, his lips curving up into a smirk. "Didn't think you would be back."

"I did promise you I would come back for you, didn't I? You didn't think I would actually leave you here forever, did you?" She raised an eyebrow, her gaze flickering to the hook in his hand.

"Honestly? I thought ye would have forgotten about me." He sighed, shrugging his shoulders.

"Never." Elisa murmurs, shaking her head. "I could never forget about you, Harry. You're special to me. More than you'll ever know." She admitted.

"So...I was special to ye. I'm flattered, lass." He purred, his smirk widening.

"I'm serious, Harry." Elisa states, her expression turning serious. "I care about you a lot. I have since we met." She turns to face him once he let her go. He looks the same, just older. He's taller, and he has some facial hair now. He's still handsome as ever.

"I care about ye too, lass." Harry admits, his cheeks tinted pink. "I'm sorry for grabbing ye and shoving ye into the wall. Always have to be prepared."

"It's fine. No harm done." She gives him a small smile. She's surprised he cared about her as well. After what happened, she didn't think he would. "So, are you coming back to Auradon with me or not?" She asked, changing the subject.

He's clearly taken aback by the question and he blinks a few times before answering. "You're serious. You want me to come back with ye?"

"Of course, Harry. Why wouldn't I?" She frowned, tilting her head to the side.

"Well, I dunno. It's just ye've been gone for years. And ye were supposed to come back sooner." He mutters, shrugging his shoulders. "Seemed like ye had forgotten about me."

"I could never forget about you, Harry. Ever." She states, stepping closer to him. "And I know I should've come back sooner, and I'm sorry that I didn't. But I'm here now. And I want you to come with me." She takes his hand in hers, her gaze softening. "Will you come back with me, please?"

He stares down at her, his eyes searching hers. He seems conflicted. Like he's debating whether or not to accept her offer. She's hurt when he doesn't say anything and she lowers her head, her grip on his hand loosening.

"I know I messed up." Elisa murmurs, biting her bottom lip. She felt tears stinging her eyes. "I understand if you don't want to come back with me. I'll leave you alone and-"

"I want to go with ye, lass." He interrupts her, squeezing her hand. "But...I don't think I can handle seeing you and Ben be all lovey-dovey and whatnot." He sighs, running his free hand through his hair. "I care about ye, Elisa. And I want ye to be happy. Even if it's not with me. But being close to you and seeing you and Ben act like a couple every day, will drive me insane."

Her eyes widen in realization, and she steps closer to him. She reaches up, cupping his face. Her gaze softens, and her heart swells with affection. "You're jealous of him." She breathes out, her eyes shining with emotion.

"What? Pshh! Of course not. I could never be jealous of that wimpy King." Harry scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"Harry..." She whispered, stepping closer to him. She could feel his breath on her lips, and she looked up at him, her gaze filled with love. "I know you still love me...I still love you too...Just not in the way I used to. I'm in love with Ben. I always will be. But...You'll always be my first love."

His eyes widen, and his gaze softens. His expression is vulnerable, and his eyes search hers. "I do still love ye, lass." He whispers, leaning down. He rests his forehead against hers, and he sighs heavily. "And I keep wishing you never left in the first place 'cause then maybe we would still be together. But I see you and him together, and I can tell you two are meant to be as much as it hurts."

She frowns, her heart clenching. She wraps her arms around him, pulling him into a hug. "I'm so sorry, Harry." She says, her voice wavering. "I didn't want to leave you behind. You have no idea how many nights I've spent crying myself to sleep because of it. I regret leaving you. I regret hurting you. I'm so sorry." She chokes out, her voice thick with emotion. "I want you to be happy too, Harry. That's why I'm asking you to come back with me. Not only because I still care about you, but because I know that if anyone deserves a second chance, it's you. You're a good person, Harry Hook." When he scoffed, she rolls her eyes and pulls back to look at him. "No, you are. You've just been through a lot and have a bad attitude because of it. But underneath that bad boy act is a good guy who's kind and caring and loyal. I know that if you just give Auradon a chance, you could find your own happily ever after."

Harry's expression is unreadable, but she can see a hint of vulnerability. He sighs heavily , running his hand through his hair. He's silent for a moment, and she's afraid he might decline her offer. But then he gives her a small smile.

"Ye are the only person who believes I'm not a villain, Elisa. Ye've always seen the good in me. And for some reason, I've never been able to say no to ye. But I'm sorry, lass." He sighs heavily, his eyes filled with sadness. "I can't go with ye. As much as I want to, I can't."

"Harry..." Elisa whispered, her eyes filling with tears.

"It's better this way. If I stay, it will hurt less. I'll always have a place in me heart for ye, lassie. But I'm trging to move on." He leans down, pressing a lingering kiss to her cheek. "You have no idea how much ye mean to me. And if I'm being honest, I've loved ye from the moment I first laid eyes on ye. I will always love ye. But I like I said, it's better if I stay here. You have yer life, and I have mine." He takes her hand in his and presses a soft kiss to her knuckles. "I hope you'll visit me sometimes though. I still want to be friends."

She sniffles, tears falling down her cheeks. "Okay." She chokes out, biting her bottom lip. "I'll visit you as often as I can." She throws her arms around his neck and hugs him tightly. "I love you, Harry. And I'm going to miss you."

"I love ye too, Elisa." He whispers, wrapping his arms around her. "And I'll miss ye too. So much."

She reluctantly pulls away, her bottom lip trembling. "Please take care of yourself, okay? Don't go starting fights and getting into trouble."

"Can't make any promises." Harry grins, his expression softening. He lifts her hand to his lips and kisses her knuckles. "You're gonna be a great Queen one day, Elisa. Never forget that."

She smiles sadly, her heart aching. "Thanks, Harry."

"Anytime, lass." He winked at her.

She chuckles, shaking her head. "Okay, I better go. But I will see you later. Promise." She gives him one last hug before she reluctantly pulled away and turned to leave. She pauses and turns back to him, a small smile on her lips. "Goodbye, Harry."

"Bye, lass." He sighs heavily, turning around to face her. "Hey, lass!" He calls out.

She turns back to face him. "Yeah?"

"Just...Take care of yerself, alright? Stay safe. And if that King of yers hurts ye, let me know and I'll take care of him." Harry added.

She laughs, her eyes twinkling. "Okay, I will." She nods, smiling softly. "And thanks."

He grins, winking at her. "No problem, lass. I'll see ye later."

"Bye, Harry." She sighs, waving goodbye. She turns around and walks away. She doesn't want to leave him behind, but she knows she has to.

When she was out of his sight, she stopped walking and leaned against the wall. She let out a shaky breath, wiping away the tears on her cheeks. She was sad and disappointed, but she couldn't blame him. She had abandoned him and that had hurt him. And the fact that she was with Ben probably made him feel even worse. She didn't expect him to go with her, but she had hoped he would. She wanted him to get the chance to have a better life. He deserved that. She pushed herself off the wall and continued on her way. She couldn't stay there forever. There was someone else she had in mind if Harry didn't accept her offer. And hopefully, he would.

Elisa arrived at a familiar hideout, and she couldn't help the smile that formed on her lips. This place had some very fond memories for her. And she was hoping that it wouldn't end in disaster this time.

She walked over to the entrance, and she took a deep breath before knocking on the door. She waited patiently, fiddling with her hands. She was nervous.

The door opened, and she was met with a familiar pair of blue eyes. The fifteen year old boy stares at her with disbelief, his eyes wide. "Elisa? You're here, actually here." The son of Hans stated, his expression shocked.

Elisa grins, her eyes shining. "Henry." She murmurs, looking him up and down. He had definitely grown since the last time she had seen him. "How are you? It's been a while."

"I'm good, really good." Henry smiles, nodding his head. He's still trying to wrap his mind around the fact that she was actually here. After all these years, she was finally here. He hadn't expected her to ever return, but he was glad she did. "Wow, I still can't believe you're actually here." He chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's been so long. I thought you forgot about me."

She frowns, feeling a pang of guilt. "I know. I'm sorry. But Hen, I could never forget about you. You're like my little brother. And I have missed you a lot." She smiled softly, giving him a fond look.

"I missed you too." Henry admits, his expression softening. "It's been really boring around here without you." He adds. He steps forward and pulls her in for a tight hug. "I'm so glad you're back. I've missed you."

She hugs him back, her eyes closing. "Me too, Hen. Me too." She whispers, pulling back. She smiles brightly at him. "So, you ready? It's VK day, might be one of the lucky ones to get picked."

He scoffs, shaking his head. "That's a nice thought, but I doubt it. There's no way they'll pick me." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Oh, come on, Hen. Don't give up so easily." Elisa sighs, rolling her eyes. She knew he wasn't the most optimistic person. He was a realist. And while it could be a good thing sometimes, it could also be bad. "You never know. Anything can happen. So just have a little faith." She smiles softly, reaching up to ruffle his hair. "And even if you don't get picked, I'll try to get them to let you over eventually."

He playfully swats her hand away, his lips curving into a grin. "Okay, fine. I'll have some faith." He agreed, nodding his head.

"Good." Elisa grins. She takes his hand and pulls him out of the hideout. "Come on, everyone is meeting at the front entrance. You got your paper?"

"In my pocket. Ready to be shredded." Henry replied, rolling his eyes.

She laughs, her eyes shining. "You're funny, Hen. Really." She teases, nudging him playfully. "But don't worry. Everything will be fine." She assured him. She could tell he was nervous, and she couldn't blame him. This was a huge deal.

"Okay, let's get this over with." Henry muttered, his gaze flickering towards the front entrance of the hideout. He could already see people gathering there. He wasn't looking forward to this. He was never a fan of big crowds.

"Let's go." Elisa grinned, tugging him towards the group.

When they get there, she has to meet up with her friends up on top of a building to stand on the balcony by them. She smiles a little at seeing Henry meeting up with Dizzy. The two were best friends which was always surprising because they were opposites. But they got along great and had been through a lot together.

"Who wants to go? You?" Mal asked the crowd, pointing at some kids who were eagerly holding up their papers and waving their hands. A girl shouted excitedly for Mal to pick her as excited murmurs and whispers filled the air.

"I can't believe this day is finally here!" Evie excitedly said with a bright smile. The crowd cheers excitedly in response. "I honestly wish I could bring you all with us and someday very soon maybe we can."

"Yeah, we're gonna be back here so many times you're gonna get sick of us." Mal joked, earning a few laughs and chuckles from the crowd.

"So sick." Evie agrees with a chuckle. "Can we get a drumroll please?"

Everyone started stomping the ground or patting their thighs as a drum roll was created. "First I would like to begin with the granddaughter of Lady Tremaine, daughter of Drizella, my sweet, sweet friend, my Dizzy!"

"Diz, that's you!" Henry grinned, nudging his best friend and looking at her with a big smile.

Dizzy squeals loudly with excitement and hugs onto her best friend, jumping up and down. "Hen! Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's happening. I'm going to Auradon, oh my gosh!"

"I know! I'm so happy for you, Diz!" Henry chuckles, smiling brightly. He was really happy for his best friend, she deserved this. He wasn't fazed when she was practically jumping up and down with excitement while hugging on him. He was used to her energetic and bubbly personality. In fact, he actually found it pretty cute. "Go on, go!"

Dizzy giggles, kissing his cheek before she eagerly runs to the stairs with an excited squeal. Henry smiles fondly and watches as Dizzy ran up the stairs and joins the others. He was proud of his best friend and happy for her. He knew how much this meant to her and how badly she had wanted this. He had hoped he would get picked too, but he was content with watching her achieve her dream if he didn't.

"Now," Elisa speaks up. "Next is someone who's very dear to me and I know will make a great addition to Auradon." She grins, glancing down at Henry. "Henry, c'mon!"

Henry's eyes widened in shock. He wasn't expecting her to pick him. He didn't think he'd actually get chosen. He couldn't believe it. Was this real?

"Hen, come on!" Dizzy called, grinning at her best friend. She couldn't believe this was actually happening. She was so happy for him.

Her excited voice and the cheering brought him out of his daze. He smiles brightly, a wide grin on his face. "This is incredible." He muttered to himself, unable to contain his excitement. He had dreamed of this moment ever since he was a child. And now that it was finally happening, he was beyond thrilled. Dizzy immediately pulled him into a hug, squealing excitedly.

"Hen, you're going to Auradon! We're going to Auradon!" She cheered, bouncing up and down.

"I know, I can't believe it either." Henry chuckled, wrapping his arms around her and returning the hug. He kissed the top of her head and gave her a gentle squeeze before pulling away.

Elisa grins at him. "My turn for a hug." She says, and Henry grins and runs up to her and hugs her tightly. She kisses the top of his head. "Congratulations, Hen."

"Thank you, E." Henry mutters, hugging her tightly. He was so grateful for her. If it wasn't for her, he would have never gotten this chance. He was beyond thrilled, and he was looking forward to the new life ahead of him. "This means a lot to me. You have no idea."

"I think I have some idea." She chuckles, smiling fondly at him. "But you're welcome, Hen. You deserve it. You're a good kid. I'm really happy for you."

"Thanks." He smiled at her as he pulled away. He then turned his attention to the group, grinning at them. He couldn't believe he was actually going to Auradon. This was amazing.

As they were celebrating, Carlos and Jay had announced the twins of Smee would be joining them. Squeaky and Squirmy, Elisa thought they were so cute and sweet. She was really glad they were getting a second chance.

"And last but certainly not least, we all picked this girl because we all agreed that she could she a little bit of Fairy Godmother's goodness class. Give it on up for Dr. Facilier's daughter, Celia!" Mal announced.

"I'm bad." Celia smirked, flipping her red curly hair over her shoulder and did a small twirl before joining the group while everyone cheered.

"We'll be back for you guys next week, okay?" Carlos said softly with a smile.

"And so pack your stuff, your own stuff." Jay added, earning a few chuckles from the group.

"Where are we going?" Henry asked along with Dizzy and Celia excitedly.

"We're going to Auradon!" The crowd cheered along with them, excited for the chosen VKs to go to Auradon. Elisa smiled widely at the group. She was happy for all of them and she hoped they would have a great time in Auradon. They deserved this.
