Hera's P.O.V
I saw Sabine walking towards her cabine but stopped her.
"Have you seen Ezra?" I asked the artist.
"Yeah, he's in the nose gun," she said then leaned in the wall, "Why do you need him?"
"I hear about his parents and wanted to see how he's doing," I explained. Sabine nodded then went into her room. I made my way to the nose gun and heard someone quietly talking.
Quietly walking closer, the talking was becoming a little louder until recognizing the teen's voice. I also could hear some sniffing and once in a while a choked sob.
"Ezra," I said walking over until standing right next to the chair. The young padawan quickly turned off something before my eyes could catch whatever was on the small holo projector.
Ezra's P.O.V
Hera scared me a bit but I quickly turned off the picture of me and my parents. I looked away and said, "Yeah." Flinching when my voice cracked a bit.
"Are you alright?" She asked.
"Yeah," I said hugging myself protectively.
"Really, it doesn't sound like it," She said.
"Well, maybe it's none of your business," I said harshly.
"What were you looking at?" She asked bugging me.
"Look, Hera. I really don't want to be bugged right now so can you just leave me alone," I annoyed.
"It doesn't sound like you want to be alone," Hera said gently surprising me. In all honesty, I didn't want to be alone right now. I wanted to let everything off my chest to relieve the pain that was aching there.
My eyes were burning with tears but held them back so the twi'lek wouldn't see me cry. I didn't want to be pitied by her or the crew.
"You know, I almost always have a way to convince people to talk," Hera said slyly making me uncomfortable.
I turned my head once my eyes were dry and a feeling of crying went away. Curiosity filled me but still was to stubborn to talk. Then, that's when I felt something brush up against my side making me jump a bit. I looked at Hera with wide eyes cause that knowing look was on her face.
How did she know?
I have not a clue.
"W-what are you doing?" I asked nervously.
"Turning that frown upside down," she said, "I don't like to see anyone on this ship sad."
I felt the feeling on m side again and held back any giggles that wanted to escape.
"Are you going to tell me or is it going to be the hard way?" She asked me slyly. I just looked at her frozen with nerves of a sort of small panic.
Hera knows that I'm ticklish.
I couldn't leave without the picture of my parents or else the twi'lek would know. So I just sat quietly in the chair trying to quickly think of an escape.
"You asked for it," Hera said and began to tickle my abdomen. I couldn't hold back my laughter.
"No! Hera stop! Please!" I said trying to get her hands away.
"A little ticklish aren't ya Ez," she said teasingly. I couldn't reply when she found my weak spot. My back arched and my laughter increased in sound.
"Man, Ezra. Your really ticklish," Hera said smiling.
"Do you want to tell me now?" She added.
"Ok! Ok! I'll tell! Just please stop!" He laughed struggling in the chair.
Hera stopped her attack and I was able to catch my breath with a huge grin on my face. The pilot waited patiently as I gather my composure.
"W-well.." I said hesitating and scratching the back of my neck.
I liked my lips to get some moisture in them to talk. I wasn't able to speak so instead I hit a button to reveal the picture.
"I just miss them," I said then felt a lump in my throat and tears burning my eyes. I tried scrubbing them to get rid of them but never went away. So I ducked my head to let them flow for a moment.
It took a couple seconds until arms embraced me. "Oh, Ezra," I heard Hera whisper into my ear and rubbing my back. I bit my lip to hold back a sob but my tears never went away. Instead, the tears kept running like a waterfall.
"You can cry. I promise no one on this crew will think less of you," Hera told me.
"N-not even, Chopper?" I said in disbelief.
Hera tightened the hug, "You'd be surprised."
That's when I gave in and leaned into Hera. I hid my face in her shoulder and let out a couple of sobs. I relaxed with a few sniffles and wrapped my arms around her melting into the hug. I felt warm and safe in her arms. A small small cracked on my lips with closed eyes knowing that I was fine.
I let go so I wouldn't seem to clingy but my smile stayed. Hera smiled back at me. "Remember, the crew and I will be here for you always," she said gently.
"Thank you....for everything," I said.
"Oh, and this," she said poking me in the side making me jump.
"Even though I hate being....you know. It was nice to laugh but please don't tell the crew," I said with my worry showing.
"I won't tell but I'm not promising that they won't find out in one way or another," she said.
"And a good TLS is a great way to turn frowns upside down," Hera added and I raised an eyebrow.
"TL what?" I asked.
"The LOL Syndrome," she said.
"Wow, I thought you were to old to even know what 'lol' means?" I teased.
"Carful or else I'm bring on the tickle torture again," Hera said lifting her hands and wiggling her fingers. A mischievous smiled laid on her features.
"Uh, no thanks," I said then shut off the picture and put the disc in my pocket. Then I got out of the chair and followed Hera out of the nose gun knowing...
...that I still have a family.
Sabine's P.O.V
A mischievous smile played on my lips as I stopped recording and ran back to my room without being spotted.
"So Ezra is ticklish hhmm," I said grinning.
