Chapter 16- Falling Apart

"We need to keep going. Obviously this is the right place," Riptide said stating ahead.

"But we're not properly prepared. This was a scouting mission not an assault," Omega reminds him.

Riptide doesn't say anything. His fatal flaw wanting to make him charge in there and destroy all of those who had harmed his friends.

"Let's go," he sighed finally.

"Um... Anyone seen End?" Fuego asks looking around.

"Better question. What the (bleep) is that!" Maiden shouts pointing at the lumbering thing running toward them.

"Looks like Appa to me," Jester comments.

"Does Appa have fangs, talons, spikes, and poison dripping from its mouth?" Riptide asks.

"Not that I remember. Can that thing fly?" Jester asks.

"Not the time!" Omega shouts grabbing Ethan's lifeless body. "I don't want to find out! Run!"

"You're letting me out?" Chaos says standing albeit confused.

"Revenge didn't work the first time. What's different this time?" End shrugged. "Call us even now."

Chaos nodded. "I'm still kind of weak so you're gonna need to help me back."

"Well first I left the kiddies on the enemy base. Should probably go get them before the patrol sengri tries to eat them. I made sure it left them alone but now it's probably trying to eat them. Order said she hadn't fed it. It's gotta be hungry."

Chaos stared at him blankly. "You did what?"

"This isn't working!" Huntress shouts firing another arrow.

"No (bleep)!" Thalia shouts back.

"Why is nothing killing it!" Omega shouts.

"You two have voodoo powers right! Kill the thing!" Forge yells.

"This is Order's place!" Omega shouts. "I have Chaos power! Kind of at a disadvantage while on her home base!"

"Not to mention the other one is annoying me to death right now," Riptide mutters trying to ignore the nagging Destroyer in his head while carrying Nico.

"Get Down!" Slayer shouts slamming Beauty to the ground as poison is spit over their heads."

"I'm hit! I'm hit! Styx! Is this what being burned feels like?!" Fuego shouts as Healer does her best to do magic while running to help his arm.

"Cliff!" Maiden screams trying to stop herself. Naturally that's when people slam in the back of her.

They tumble over the edge with a cacophony of screams. If one listened very closely they would hear:

"If I die again Annabeth will kill me."

"No! I wanted to kill you Prissy!"

"At least we won't be eaten- (Bleep) are those wings! It can fly!"

"This isn't how I pictured my second death."

"At least that thing will probably eat us before we go splat."

"I think splat would be less painful actually."

"Luke this all your fault!"

"For once I agree with her!"

"What did I do!"

"Where am I- (bleep) what's going on!? Why are we falling! What is that thing!?"

"Heights! Heights! Heights!"

"Flame on! Flame on! Flame on! (Bleep) why isn't it working!?"

"You're an idiot! That's why!"

"I'm going to kill you End!"

"Chaos help please!"

"What do you all have against falling? I think it's kind of fun!"

"End!"

"Fine. Fine."

"Hearts stop attempting to burst from chests as the group lands on the floor in the living room."

"Never. Again."

"Let's take some time. We'll re convene tomorrow then we will prepare before you go launch an attack," Chaos suggests.

"Sounds good," Riptide says and others agree.

Chaos sits up. "Is-is she dead?"

"Or we talk now..."

"What's wrong Luke?" Thalia asked. "And I don't mean, the sengri or any of that. I'm talking about Zoë. It's clear something is up with you and Zoë. Don't you dare try to tell me otherwise."

"It was just a little fight," Luke sighed laying down on his bed.

Thalia crossed her arms and leaned against the door unimpressed. "Sure it was. And that's why she took of her ring."

Luke didn't respond at first. When he spoke it was just above a whisper. "She did?"

Thalia nodded slowly.

Luke sighed. "She just misunderstood something. She just jumped to conclusions. Thought I was cheating on her."

"What? With who?"

"Does it matter?"

Thalia shrugged. "Just curious. It's hard to imagine one girl interested in you let alone two."

Luke rolls his eyes. "Gee thanks."

"But seriously... Who?"

Luke sighed knowing she wouldn't leave him alone without an answer. "She had this crazy idea that you liked me and I was going to cheat on her. But like that would ever happen."

Thalia didn't respond at first.

"Thals?" Luke asked sitting up to look at her. She stared down at the ground.

"Guess I'm crazy then?" She asked quietly. "I liked you since before all this Luke. Since before we even made it to camp. But we both know what happened then... I was a Hunter... And, when I got here... You were already crushing on Zoë. I just accepted the fact that you were happy and settled for being your best friend again..."

"Thalia. I-I-"

"It doesn't matter," Thalia said looking back at him. "You're happily engaged. I won't stand in the way of that. My name is Maiden after all." She gave a hollow laugh.

Luke opened his mouth to speak but no sound came out. Thalia gave him a small smile and exited leaving him staring at where she had been.

"This won't do," Order says pacing. "Not one bit. I guess I'll have to change my plan. Since my idiot brothers have joined sides."

"What are you going to do My Lady?"

"I'm going to slaughter them all myself 789. Get 645 and 764 to help you prepare the stabilizer. I can't have him dying."

"Of course. But-"

"What?" Order snaps.

"The dead one, he is ready too..."

"The set that up as well."

"Yes of course my Lady."

Yeah I'm breaking up that ship. I never even really liked it. So... Yeah.
