Chapter 15- This Time

"Where do you think End is?" Jason asks.

Percy shrugs. "I was gonna head to the throne room and call End."

"But I thought we weren't getting Chaos in on this?"

"Do you have a better idea?"

Jason doesn't answer and the two boys walk into the throne room.

"End!" Percy shouts. A moment and a swirl of black later End shows up.

"What?" He asks annoyed.

"We need your help. Can you bring us to your sisters monument?"

End's eyes narrow. Jason wilts a bit but Percy doesn't even blink. "Why?"

"We have a theory. Why would she destroy the place where she was channeling power? We think it was a ploy to keep us away."

"Why can't Chaos take you?"

"He's busy," Jason answers.

"He won't approve."

"And since when do you care about what he says?" Percy asks.

End pauses before he nods. "We leave in 20."

"Here we are then," End states motioning to the monument in front of them.

"So everything is still here," Warrior says surveying the large landscape. Just as before the large monument is standing paired with the creepy fog which covers the vast landscape. "She didn't destroy the place."

"Let's look around. See what we can find," Riptide says with a nod.

"Look around?" End says slowly gaining some strange looks in reply. "I mean it's kind of a sacred place here..."

"We won't disturb anything. Simply look. If we do find something worth while. We'll tell you." Riptide doesn't wait for a response as he starts walking in one direction seeing what he can find. Others pair up to do the same.

"How did I get stuck with you?" Revenge asks.

"The real question is how I, the magnificent Jester got stuck with you."

"Argue later boys we have stuff to do." Arrow interrupts.

"You still talk like a Hunter you know." Arrow only glares at Jester.

Revenge facepalms under his hood. "Whatever lets just look."

"What for?" Jester asks. "All that's here is fog, fog,  more fog and um what was that other thing? Oh right. Fog."

Revenge ignores the other boy as he keeps his eye on the ground focusing on seeing if the ground changes whatsoever. Perhaps there was a hidden door.

"Whoa."

Revenge turns to see Jester marveling at some huge rocks- wait when where there rocks here?

"She's trying to obscure something here," Riptide's voice says in the com. "We got the right place. Stay vigilant."

"Wow. I didn't realize you knew such big words."

"Shut it Maiden."

"Make me-"

Revenge clicked off his com having heard this argument to many times before. He looked around the new terrain when he saw something move out the corner of his eye. Though when he turned nothing was there.

He glanced to the other two. Arrow had gone from his view as she searched for whatever while Jester was laughing at something said over the com. He rolled his eyes and drew his sword and peered around the rocks.

He calmed when he saw another member of the team looking at something. "Trying to scare me? Gonna have to try than that," he chuckled stepping forward.

"I'm sorry," the guy said.

Revenge raised an eyebrow. "What are you sorry- wait what!? We thought you were dead!"

"I'm sorry I can't-."

"Yeah. Yeah. That can wait. You're covered in blood. You need help. I'm gonna call the others." Revenge says reaching to switch on his com.

"You need to run."

Revenge tensed and gripped his sword tighter. "Monster?"

"Yeah. Something like that..."

"Where?"

He gulped and his voice cracked as he spoke. "You're looking at him."

"Wh-"

"You're mad at me," Omega states switching off his com.

"Not now," Huntress shakes her head continuing to walk.

"So you are mad at me?"

"Not now. We have bigger problems than your idiocy at the moment."

"What did I do?! All I did was defend Chaos as you bashed him."

Huntress's eyes narrow as she whirls on him. She turns off her com and glares at him. "I did nothing of the sort. I was simply saying how he should know if a prisoner escaped and how he was acting weirdly. You are too stupid to notice anything! And I thought Riptide was oblivious!"

"Fine! What am I so oblivious about!?"

"Maiden!"

"Maiden? What does she have to do with anything!?"

"Di Immortales Omega! I saw the two of you!"

"The two of us what? I'm so confused!"

"Your cheating on me!"

"What!? Hades no! Nothing is happening between Maiden and I!"

"I wasn't born yesterday!"

"I know that! You're over a thousand years older than me grandma!"

"You- you insolent male!" Huntress shouts pointing a loaded bow right at him.

Omega rolled his eyes. "You won't do it. Go on then. Shoot me. Shoot me!"

Huntress glares daggers into him and is about to release her arrow when a scream reaches her ears. She lowers her arm quickly and the arrow hits the ground between her feet. She grabs the arrow and switches on her com running toward the sound.

"Go away! You have to run now!"

Arrow stands frozen in shock at her brother who pulls his sword out of Revenge's chest.

(A/N Why did everyone think it was Nico who died? He could just shadow travel behind Perseus and boom.)

Arrow takes an involuntary step back. She drops her bow by her feet and pulls her hood down. "Put the sword down, Nico. Please."

"I can't damnit! I can't control- just go!"

"I'm not leaving you again."

A tear escapes Nico's eye as his hands grip his sword tighter. Against his will, he takes a step forward.

He lunged forward and Bianca dodges quickly as her brother continues to strike. She dodges continuously before she slips on the bow she had left on the ground.

Nico hovers over her. Despite everything she smiles.

Nico stares at her in shock tears now  flowing freely down his face. He screams as he brings his sword down.

"Oh gods," Beauty says as she looks around. She immediately turns a way.

They all stare down at Revenge and Arrow lying motionless on the ground. Calypso stands from where she was kneeling next to Arrow and shakes her head.

"They've already died once," End observes from the side. Others nod.

"We've already lost two... Now two more..." Huntress says in disbelief.

Riptide curls and uncurls his fists. "I'm going to kill whoever did it," he growls.

"Then kill me," Nico says walking out from behind a rock. He's covered in blood and tears pour from his eyes. "Please. Kill me. I killed all three of them!"

Riptide calms but he doesn't fail to notice Nico still holds his sword in his hands. "I'm not going to kill you," Riptide tells him.

Nico gives a short and hollow laugh. "Of course you won't. That's stupid flaw of yours. You know, for the longest time I didn't forgive you her death... This time... This time it's my fault..."

Before anyone can respond he lunged forward sword in hand only to have it countered by Riptide. Nico pushes himself back and before he can try to do anything else he finds himself surrounded and then something hits him in the side of the head.

End stands a few feet away watching everything unfold with frown. He knew what it was like to lose a sister.

He also knew what it was like to be the cause of her death. He knew what it was like to want to kill yourself because of it.

But instead of blaming himself he blamed his brother. He plotted revenge on his brother to deal with his own guilt.

Revenge wasn't worth it the first time. Why would it be the second?

He sighed running a hand through his hair before he heading to his former prison.
