"Yeah but it was as if it only was heightening my true feelings and thoughts in a way that's best as I can explain" I said

"Well considering what you just told me, there won't be punishment for you and no letter will be sent home, but I do advise you to not start fights anymore Miss Hawthorne and fight it next time, if you feel it again fight it and let me know I have a feeling of it being something but I have to do further research before anything is set in stone, now off you go Miss Hawthorne wouldn't want you to be late for class now"  she said and ushered me out

Thank Merlin she isn't sending a letter to Sam and Emily, Merlin knows Emily would change her mind about Theo as a punishment.

Time skip

The few days before the final trial flew by with ease and the professors weren't light on homework what so ever. Especially professors snape but that was to be expected of him after all he was one of the stricter professors. So of course he was going to give us loads of homework with no exception for anyone. I did it all with ease even had to help Theo and some of the others with some stuff. Theo had wasted three pieces of parchment before he got the answers all properly written out. With loads of help from me and Draco of course it was hard to explain or get Theo to understand but eventually he did. But as of now the whole school was out on the quidditch pitch waiting. The last trail was getting through some form of a maze to the or something like that.

What we didn't prepare for was two people to make it out, Harry Potter and Cedric diggory made it out alive or so we thought. Turns out Cedric was dead and a pang of hurt filled me. It was painful the longer I stared at his dead body. I gritted my teeth in pain holding back a scream of pain. Theo was the first to notice how I was feeling and he rushed to cover my eyes. He pulled me into his chest as I gripped onto him tears of pain falling down my cheeks. Theo lead me away from the pitch and back towards the castle along with our friends trailing behind. Harry kept saying Voldemort did it, that Voldemort was alive and Cedric was only protecting him. Apparently Cedric jumped in front of Harry when the killing curse was sent his way.

I felt the grief coming from Mr. Diggory and it was a reminder of my parents being gone. It reminded me of that pain that was still sort of fresh in my mind and heart. When we got to my dorm with Theo I broke down and cried not just for Cedric's death but my parents death as well. He picked me up and carried me to my bed and pulled me into his chest as he climbed in beside me.

"Shh Cara Mia it's ok, it's going to be alright" he said softly

"It hurts Theo" I cried

"I know but it won't last forever I promise" he said trying to sooth me

Eventually I fell asleep in his arms when my crying slowed and I took his scent in to keep calm.

I work up with Theo holding me tightly in his arms my head on his chest. It was time to go back to Washington I knew that, but I didn't want to leave Theo.

"Theo" I said softly

His eyes opened slowly and groaned looking down at me before placing a soft kiss to my forehead.

"Yes Cara Mia?" He said

"I been meaning to ask if you decided to join me for break?" I asked

"I'd love to Cara Mia it will be interesting going to America" he said

"We should pack then" I said

"Ok I'll meet you in the common room in a little while then?" He asked

"Yeah" I said softly

"It will fade I promise Cara Mia" he said to which I nodded

After both of us gathered our belongings we met in the common room where we also met with our friends. We made our way to the train station but me and Theo would not be traveling by train.

"We must apperate Theo" I said

"Ok, but isn't that quite the distance?" He said

"Yes, but I've practiced so, grab my hand and I'll take us there" I said

He nodded took his trunk in one hand and grabbed my hand in the other. With that I picked my trunk of as well and apperated us to Washington. We landed in my room where I usually stay and the pain filled me again. We set our things down but didn't leave the room yet.

"I should let Emily know your with me still" I said

"I'll wait here then?" He asked

"No silly come along" I said with a smile

I grabbed his hand and made sure I had the paper to explain in the other. Walking down the hall I heard Emily's soft voice humming in the kitchen.

"Hey em I'm back" I said

"Oh dear god, you scared me" he shrieked

"Right sorry I forget you don't know I can apperate here, oh and uh this is Theo" I said as she let go of my hug

"Well hello Theo, it's nice to meet you and your welcome to stay as long as you like" Emily said

"Who's this?" Sam asked entering with the boys

Theo seemed threatened by them at first so he pulled me closer and had his hand on my waist.

"Sam this is Theo, Emily said he could stay for summer with us" I said with hopeful eyes

Sam looked at him but Theo didn't step back in fear in fact he stepped forward stuck his hand out for Sam to shake.

"Theodore Nott, but everyone calls me Theo" Theo said to Sam who smirked and shook his hand eventually
