It was as if my touch pulled him back to reality as he faced me with angry and sad eyes. He had a spit lip that was dripping blood along with his nose. His fist covered in blood as well as his white button up school shirt. Blood was everywhere not that I cared as I grabbed Theo and others rushed over. I looked down at the other student to see who it was and to my surprise it was someone I knew. A ravenclaw boy named David was covered in blood but his hands held blood too. Meaning he got a few hits on Theo before Theo nearly killed him. David was different than most, but he tended to be cocky and selfish at times too. I only knew him friendly wise because he and I studied for a partner test thing we had.

As well as he asked me out one time and I went out to hogsmade with him. Didn't go any further than the one date because the next day he had some hufflepuff all over him. So whatever he did to Theo or said to piss Theo off was probably what got him nearly dead.

"He deserved it I swear" Theo had pleading eyes

Knowing I had once seen David as more than a study partner the first guy who actually had the guys to ask me on a date. So I knew why Theo looked at me the way he was right now. I shook my head and looked back at Theo before taking his hands in mine.

"Come let's get you clean" I said softly as I pulled him towards the bathroom

We walked in silence and sat in silence for some time as I gently cleaned his wounds.

"He was talking about you" Theo finally spoke up

"Hmm what he say?" I asked while I kept cleaning

"He was betting his friends that you would still give him a chance and he could make a quick shag out of you, his friends bet him 100 that he couldn't do it, it wasn't until he said how easy you would be and how you'd beg for more when he was done, I just I couldn't take it" he said

"A bet hmm, served him right I'm worth far more than only 100" I said with a smirk looking up at Theo

"Your worth more than they can afford Cara Mia" he said

"I felt it, the rage" I said as I began to clean his lip

"What do you mean?" He asked confused

"It's something that happens occasionally only when I'm really connected to the person and more often the emotion has to be very intense to feel, sometimes I feel it even when it's not as strong but lately it's overwhelming I can feel your emotions Theo and on top of mine, plus some of our friends when they get into a specific mood or emotion if strong enough I feel it, sometimes it can hurt me the overwhelming feeling but it's not too painful it all depends on how close I am to the person" I said

He stopped me grabbing my wrist as I went to touch his nose with the wipes. I looked up at him confused as to why he stopped me from helping him.

"You get hurt when you feel them?" He said softly

"Depends on the emotion really" I said

"So my anger?" He asked

"The closer I got to you the stronger I felt it and the more pain I felt" I said

"So I caused you pain" he said clearly hurt about the idea

"Not on purpose Theo, it's my magics fault not yours, I can't control it plus it's only really acted up more recently after they died" I said

"Your an empath it's a strong ability and rare you know" he said

"Why rare?" I asked

"It only happens every so often in the wizarding world mostly to witches but there's been a few wizards who had the ability, it's rare because it's a strong form of magic some people don't like the idea of it while others revel in the idea of being able to tell if someone feels something towards them, my mum used to tell me about a friend she had that was an empath, she didn't mention that it could hurt you though" he said

"It doesn't always hurt me, it just only with" I began to realize

"Only with me?" He asked

"Yes" I said hesitantly

"Then I'm truly sorry but I should stay away from you" he said and left

I felt hurt more than before when he ignored my letter and didn't help me. I stood frozen before reality hit and I chanced after him calling his name but he didn't stop.

"Theodore I swear if you keep walking we're done, no more I swear and I mean it I do" I snapped loudly at his back

But he didn't stop in fact he kept walking and even faster than before. I felt the panic setting in as I turned on my heels but I could breath. My feet moved in a direction that i wasn't supposed to go. The forbidden forest and I found myself running without stopping. If I tripped I got up and continued, with each branch that scarped me I kept going. It wasn't until I fell and a large sharp object hit my side. I screamed in pain as I fell and the tears fell down at a rapid pace. I hit the ground over and over again as I screamed until I couldn't anymore. I lay there in the forbidden forest bleeding unable to move to stop the bleeding or pain. I wanted to close my eyes, let go of everything and as I felt my body drifting away, I saw something before I could close my eyes.

"Don't just die here you idiot girl" fathers voice filled my ears

"Cordell she's heartbroken let her be" mother said

"Let me die" I said
