Mishti :)

I entered the party, I was hell nervous.. Thankfully Mr Shrivastav was there near the entrance.. He approached me with a smile.. "Thank You Sir for this beautiful gown, " I said politely, "All thanks to my wife, she chose it for you! " he said pointing at his wife who was busy talking with someone.. I smiled at him..

Some well known business people approached me from their side, it made me feel proud of my work.. As I was alone, I didn't drink any alcoholic drinks rather I chose to have mocktails.. The party was quite pleasant, it continued till 12:00.. I was glad because it's a party which just revolved around business without any sort of unnecessary drama and drunk people..

I came outside , my driver was nowhere to be seen.. I went near the gate , it's quite dark and I didn't see the broken road. My heel got stuck and I slipped. I could have fallen on my stomach on the floor, but two strong arms held me.. His one hand wrapped around my belly and other one was around my shoulder.

I looked up only to find Mr Shrivastav, "Oh Thank you! " I muttered and stood up properly.. "It's too late, if you won't mind I will drop you at your location. And my wife will be with us too, so you can trust me! " he said, "Umm, but.. Okay .. " I said.. He guided me to follow him, but someone held my hand. I turned back, it's Abir.. A sign of relief ran down my spine. A smile automatically formed on my lips.

I stepped back towards Abir, he was still holding my hand. "Thank you Mr Shrivastav for your concern, but I will take her with me! " he said, for the first time I felt like he was actually frustrated.. "Oh my God, Abir Rajvansh. We have heard a lot about you. Nice to meet you! " he showed his excitement and both shook their hands with each other..

Mr Shrivastav left, Abir left my hand.. He removed his jacket and wrapped it around me.. We headed towards his car, he opened the passenger seat door for me. I got inside. He started driving.. "From when are you waiting for me? " I asked, breaking the ice like silence.. "The moment you slipped and he held you, " he replied, I licked my lips and gave a simple node.

One weird thing I felt today, but I can't tell him.. The moment I slipped and Mr Shrivastav held me, I thought , No ! I actually expected it to be Abir.. I really thought Abir held me, but it disappointed me.. I shrugged it off..

He was driving roughly, "Are you angry with me? " I asked, every time he acted chill around me, but today something was off..

"We get angry at our own people. And I don't think we share a bond where I can be angry at you, " he replied, my eyes stayed on the road after hearing what he said. I didn't react to anything but it made me feel sad..

"I have booked tickets for Australia, we are moving tomorrow! " I announced that I haven't even done .. He muttered ok.. Ok? Seriously? Today his behaviour quite changed towards me.. Just because I attended a business party and didn't attend any garba night, he can't be rude to me. It doesn't make any sense.. I sighed..

He parked the car , I removed the jacket first and handed it to him. We both came out, it's complete silence out there.. I was walking behind him and all I knew was I wanted to have some conversation with him.. I felt his absence in my heart even though he was walking with me. It's weird that I started seeking his attention..

I got attachment issue and it's really worse ..

I went to my room, I freshened up and fell on the bed.. My eyes fell on the ac, it's working. An idea came, I thought to break it again.. But they have invested some money to repair it, so I dropped that idea. He could have atleast given me a compliment..

I was tired due to the social event, so I slept..

The whole day I stayed in my room, just three days of Navratri left. In the evening I came out of my room, my eyes travelled to Abir who was in the ground floor, he was wearing a kurta today. So he's going to garba night.. Ziya came to him, he approached her with a smile.. They both talked with each other then left.. I was witnessing it from upstairs..

I went to Jeevika's room, she was getting ready.. I pulled a cushion and dropped myself on a couch.. "Did Abir talk to you today? " I asked her, she first gave me curious look and then it turned into a teasing one.. "He just didn't come to my room to bother me, so I just asked! " I muttered..

"When he was giving you attention, you didn't bother.. And now when he's not, you are seeking his attention. Should I laugh on this? " she muttered, trying to suppress her laugh.. I made a pout and stared at the wall.. "How am I looking? " she twirled herself in front of me.. I nodded.. I was in a bad mood..

"I will come with you! " I mumbled, she stood like a statue and then uttered something which I couldn't hear.. "Bring my outfit! " I muttered and stood up, she was stunned. She opened her wardrobe and pulled out a lehenga.. She was still trying to process that I agreed without anyone convincing me today..

I tried my hair in a bun. The lehenga was way too heavy, I was not habitual of heavy outfits. But I liked the styling and color coordination.. She tied the dori of my blouse , after applying a minimal make up I wore a set of jewellery.. I applied a black bindi also.. I could not recognize myself in the mirror, after ten freaking years I was wearing a traditional outfit and that too a lehnga..

"I CAN'T BELIEVE.. YOU ARE LOOKING DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, " Jeevika screamed in excitement and started dancing on the sofa.. I smiled at her and looked at myself in the mirror again.. "We should go! " I mumbled, she took a little amount of kajol from her eye and put it on the back of my neck.. I giggled, all these little things she does for me make me overwhelmed.. She's always like a sister to me, more than a sister actually..

I wore flat footwear because I won't be able to dance on my heels.. We both reached the destination, it's organized by Rajvansh only so they let us go inside.. Jeevika dragged me with her, we were almost running in the crowd.. "Omg, what a pleasant surprise, you are here today! " Astha said, Eva, Arya, Ivan came to me, they were looking happy after seeing me.. I just smiled awkwardly..

"I will bring a dandiya for you! " Ivan said and left for the dandiya counter.. He quickly brought one for me, in this whole crowd my eyes were searching for him.. We made a round group and then started dancing.. At first it's little difficult for me to catch the steps, but I learned it quickly.. Garba used to be my favourite..

All the childhood memories started flashing in front of my eyes and I kept grooving.. We clicked several pictures, the oldies were dancing at a corner.. Two hours passed, but Abir didn't come.. I couldn't even ask anyone about him, because it would be weird and so obvious. After a decade I was wearing a lehnga and doing garba, so I kept all my thoughts aside and just enjoyed myself..

Ruhani di and Ayansh bhai joined us, neither Abir nor Ziya were anywhere to be seen.. I tried to not think about him, but I couldn't. It's obvious because he has been with me from last month and it take seconds to get attached with a person.. In this whole journey with him  I couldn't realize how he broke the icy wall around me..

Once I would reach Australia, I will be devoid of his thoughts.. Once my mind will be occupied with work, then who is Abir Rajvansh? I don't know him! Huh.

"We are happy that you came here, hope you enjoyed it.. You work everyday, sometimes you should take out time for yourself and enjoy your life a lil more! " Ayansh bhai said and patted my shoulder.. "Okay guys, we should leave now.. It's enough for today! " bhai said, everyone said no no, but they had to agree with him at the end.. I was hell tired.. We all headed outside, I was highly disappointed because Abir was not there..

"You all stay here, I will bring my car here, " Ayansh bhai went towards the parking lot.. It's less crowded.. Another car stopped in front of us, "Bhabi, please convince bhai about this party.. We will come back home before morning, please! " Ivan said to Ruhani di, their friends were in the car.. "No, you both always go to parties , it's Navratri time.. He won't let you go! " Ruhani di said strictly, "Please Please, you can convince him , please! " they were pleading..

Ayansh bhai came with his car, it's four seated car.. "I have informed Abir, he will come and take three of you. Arya, Ivan stay with Mishti, Abir is coming, " we all looked at each other, Ruhani bhabi told them not to leave, but both of them had already made up their minds.. Jeevika, Astha , Eva and Ruhani di got inside the car.. "Arya and Ivan.. Be sensible, She's with you, don't go anywhere till Abir comes! " he said strictly, they both nodded and left..

I looked at both of them..

"Now only you can help us, " they both said in union, I shook my head in disbelief.. "See, when bhai will come, just say that they left with Rohan.. Rohan is our neighboring friend! " Arya said and Ivan handed me a key.. "Keep this key, when we come back, just open the backdoor for us! " he said and both got inside the car.. I was standing in the middle of the road , they didn't leave because Abir hadn't reached me..

I saw my own shadow as a car just stopped behind me, they left in their friends car.. I slowly turned around and shut my eyes, my palm automatically covered my face due to the front light of the car.. He pressed the horn button, I removed my palm from my face and he turned the light off.. Our eyes met and he just blinked.. He came out of the car, he was still wearing the kurta.. He wasn't looking tired, it means he didn't dance but where did he go?

"You.. Umm. " he took a pause, I held his hand and gave him the key which Ivan gave me.. "Arya and Ivan went to a party. Don't tell it to Ayansh bhai and also don't scold them.. I told you the truth so that you can open the door for them and take their responsibility! " I told him everything which I was supposed to keep within me..

Both of them went to a party, so it's better if I inform Abir about it.. Otherwise if somehow they get caught or something will happen to them, then things will be critical.. I got inside the car, he turned back and stared at me in disbelief for the next few seconds. Here I got ready and came to play garba and he didn't even show up.. He started driving , we didn't talk anything..

From the far I could see Ziya standing near the gate, he stopped the car in front of the gate.. I didn't ask anything about her and got out of the car.. Ziya and we shared a cold eye contact, she got into the car and they both left for somewhere. I went to my room, Jeevika was already present there..

"We are going Australia tomorrow morning! " I said and opened my laptop to book tickets, the anger in me just kept increasing and I had no control over it, nor I know the reason.. "But , mam! What happened?  Didn't you enjoy today? We still have two days left of Navratri-"

"Did we come here for Navratri? " I shouted, she got startled and kept numb.. "I gave you enough freedom Jeevika. We have a lot of pending work to complete and I am not able to handle it from here. If you really want to enjoy then stay here, just give me a resignation later, I will find another PA for me! " I stated, her eyes filled with tears..

"Sorry mam! " she apologized and left the room.. My vision blurred, I pulled my lower lip inward and tried to not cry. I myself was unaware of my own sadness.. I booked two early morning tickets.. I wiped my tears and started packing..

It took me two hours to pack my bags because I had to keep all the documents in a format.. I hurt Jeevika which sent me into a guilt trip.. My flight time was at 6 in the morning, I have to leave this house before 5:00 am.. My legs were already hurting due to the dance and now all these packing made me more tired. I looked outside of the window..

Abir's car just entered inside the mansion, after having a conversation Ziya left.. I headed outside, Abir was alone.. He was leaning against the car door, feeling my presence he looked up.. He first took a glance of his watch, "You didn't sleep? It's already 3:00 o clock! " he said..

"I will leave just after one and half hour.. Say sorry to aunty and others that I couldn't meet anyone of them.. It's urgent, so I am leaving! " I informed him, I turned my heel to leave because I didn't want to see his unbothered face.. "I will tell my driver , he will drop you! " he said, I didn't respond anything and left for my room.. Jeevika was sleeping in her room..

I was extremely tired, still I couldn't get any sleep.. I was feeling angry on myself because I am not a girl who let these emotions overpower my state of mind. I was always ahead of this. But today it's just making me weak, for which I lashed out on Jeevika for no reason.

But she should also understand that I had given her enough holiday.. I am running a big company also..

"You are leaving so soon! I thought you would stay here till Navratri end! " Arya said, they both just returned from the party.. "Yeah, I wish.. But it's an emergency.. I am sorry, " I said, they both pouted.. "You both! Before anyone see you, go to your room, " I followed the voice, it's Abir.. Arya and Ivan smiled at me and left..

Abir was standing near the door, we had a straight two minutes of eye contact, still no words came out of our lips.. I got inside the car, Jeevika was silent.. I didn't say anything to her and the driver started the engine.. I could see Abir from the front mirror, I just didn't want to leave everything like this..

I was not feeling well, I wasn't not getting any good vibes.. Nothing felt right.. And as the car took a turn I couldn't see him anymore.. He really created an attachment between us and it's really hurting me.. Even my periods date were not close, still I was going through an emotional battle..

We first travelled to Delhi then from Delhi to Gold coast.. It took us 24 hours.. I reached my home at 8:00 am. Just when I thought to take a sleep Jeevika came running to my room.. "Mam, " she was breathless, I raised my brows.. "A very serious case has happened in Ithsim company! " just the mention of my company name , I pulled out my jacket from the wardrobe and grabbed my car keys..

She ran behind me to match my pace. "A male employee has harassed a female employee and she has filed a case, it has taken the attention of media! "

I was just descending the stairs but her words sent shiver down my spine.. Goosebumps erected on my body, the key fell from my hand.. "What? " I mumbled, I became a complete statue.. It has never happened in the history of my company.. I took the key and drove off to Ithsim.. Jeevika accompanied me..

My heart came to my throat, there was a huge crowd around my company.. I entered the territory through the back gate.. All the employees were standing outside of my company. Media was trying to break the security.. I came out of the car.. All people started throwing stones and a stone hit my head..

I held my head as it started bleeding, the guards gathered around me.. Jeevika gave me her handkerchief, I cared less about my injury and ran inside..

The cops were there, the victim was there also.. I ran to her.. I wasn't able to say anything.. She was sitting on a chair, I kneeled down in front of her and sat on my knee.. "I know my apologize won't fix anything, but I am really ashamed and I am feeling sorry for everything you went through.. " I whispered, she was just crying..

I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up.. It's of Mivaan bhai.. I stood up, "Bhai I was not here for some days and see what happened.. How could I be so irresponsible? A girl got harassed in my company and I couldn't save her, " I mumbled, bhai held my hand.. "Where is that bastard? " I asked to the cop..

"Mam he ran away. We are trying to find him, " he informed me.. I went to my cabin to check further details about that guy but that mf was a orphan. Glad his parents are not here to see this bastard's action.. My head started spinning, I checked the CCTV of that incident.. They both were working till 9:00 pm in the night.. This incident has happened in my factory..

I went to the hall and called Mr Brick, our secretary.. "I always tell you to close the factory at 6:00.. How were they there? Where was our security? " I asked calmly, because my anger would only worsen the situation.. "Mam, believe me I checked every corner of the factory and noone was there, so I locked it and left.. And according to our security, they didn't hear anything. He tried to suppress her screams and it's such a big company, so they couldn't hear anything! " he explained..

The victim was not in a condition, so I didn't ask her anything.. For this reason only I never let my employees do overwork. If I tell them, then I also take their full responsibility..

"Mishti, calm down. Whatever happened should not have happened, but it was not your fault. For God sake you weren't here, stop stressing out.. And you should be relaxed that the guy didn't harm the victim much.. He tried to harass her, but failed.. And she's safe now.. Nothing has happened to her, but of course it would have been a nightmare to her.. Anything could have happened but God saved her. So take a chill and make sure you increase the security! " Mivan bhai said..

I took a breath of relief after hearing his words. Thank God she's safe. I sat down.. "Bhai, this is not how it's looking. I mean did you see the crowd and media outside.. It's not even a rape case and see the crowd.. How did all these things reached them just in one night ? I swear it's he-"

Mrinal bhai was saying but Maanvir bhai gestured him to stay silent. "I don't think a girl will fake something like this, " Mivaan bhai spoke, I was not able to digest anything.. "I removed the handkerchief from my head, it's not bleeding much.. " I will do your dressing, in all of this I forgot that some maroon threw a stone at you! " bhai said clenching his jaw.. As he dabbed the iodine filled cotton on my injury, I shivered..

"If he is trying to push her into this dirty plan and targeting her , then I swear it's his last day! " Mrinal bhai said and left the room in anger.. Maanvir bhai ran behind him.. I looked at Mivan bhai, I didn't have any energy left in me to discuss all this.. I needed sleep. But the guilt won't let me sleep..

"I will handle all this, go to your house and take rest! " bhai said, I shook my head in a No.. "No way! I can't leave everything here like this.. We need to find out the culprit.. " I said, bhai cupped my cheek.. "Let me handle it.. Take rest! " he said.. I shook my head negatively..

"Bhai! " Maanvir bhai came to us , he was sweating.. It made me scared. "Badima met with an accident! " he whispered in between his heavy breathes.. I couldn't resister his words, but then it hit me.. Badima means it's about maa..

"Mumma? " I whispered, he nodded his head.. The ground beneath me slipped away.. "Say Mrinal to handle everything here, " Mivaan bhai said and headed outside, I followed him.. I was not able to understand anything.. First this harassment incident then mom met with an accident, I gulped hard.. Bhai drove off the car to the hospital..

The staff were taking her towards the ICU, my breath stuck in my lungs seeing her face covered with blood.. I gasped audibly.. "Mummaa! " I cried, bhai held her hand, AR a stamp was pressed on her wrist.. I had heard this short form before also.. Bhai clenched his jaw in anger.. They took her inside..

"How is she? " Papa came to us, anger began to build in me.. I grabbed his collar, "I warned you before also and am warning you today too , if anything happens to my mom just because of your rivalry then I will forget who you are! And I swear I mean every word I say. She's a blind to support you in all this and at the end she got this, " I yelped loudly, her blood was just flashing in front of my eyes..

Papa didn't say anything, he was numb..

I dropped myself on the chair, Mivaan bhai kneeled down in front of me and brushed my hair, I jerked his hand away.. "You promised me that you will tell me everything after we meet.. Then tell me.. I want to hear everything, " I mumbled, "Relax, please calm down ! " he tried to calm me, but this time it's about mom and I couldn't keep calm..

"How are you even expecting me to stay calm in such a situation, you promised me that you will tell everything, then just tell me! " I claimed, he took a glance of our surroundings.. "Bachha, it's a hospital, please have patience! " His words just added fuel to the fire.. I walked out of the corridor, from the morning I haven't even taken a glass of water.. I went to a nearby shop and brought a water bottle for myself..

I sat down on a swing and drank a little water.. My phone started ringing, it's Mr Brick, my secretary.. I answered the call quickly..

Mam, please come to our factory.. I have found some clues, I need to show you first..

Okay, I am going!

I cut the call.. I didn't take bhai's car, so I booked a taxi instead.. I just messaged bhai that I am going because of some work.. After half an hour I reached on my destination.. As I stood up, my head took a spin.. My blood pressure has decreased. I held my head and closed my eyes. It's not the time to get weak. I have responsibilities to do and it's my first priority.. I walked inside..

The factory was closed today because of yesterday's incident. Some cops were outside.. I entered the factory, it's completely dark there.. "Mr Brick, are you there? " I called him, but I got no response.. So I dialled his number..

Yes mam!

Where are you?

Mam, I am here in the office.. What happened?

You called me before some time right? Wasn't it you?

No mam! Maanvir Sir had told me to not disturb you. So why would I call you? What happened? Are you alright..

No actually I got a call from you and -

And I lost the contact. I glanced around me, there's no one.. There's no network in my phone.. I turned my heel to go back but the doot automatically got closed. I felt a thud in my heart. I was stunned.. I opened my call log, it's clearly shown that the call was from Mr Brick. Somebody has hacked my phone..

I took a step back only to bump with someone, my heart came to my throat.. My grip around my phone strengthened.. With my trembling hand I opened my message app, but before I could text my brother he snatched it away.. "Darling, not so soon! " he whispered in my ears and blew my hair.. My state of mind was worse and for which I was not able to gather some courage today. He wrapped his arm around my belly and placed a kiss on my nape..

It's beyond my tolerance, I hit his stomach with my elbow and took a turn.. My leg automatically went above, and he got a slap from my shoe.. I fell back, but stood up quickly.. I wasn't able to see his face because of the darkness..

"Don't you even dare to mess with me! Who are you? " I shouted, he started laughing..

"This! This violence you hold in you always attract me. Ahh I love that, " he screamed and started laughing.. It just increased my anger .. "Turn on the lights! " he clapped for two times and the light came revealing his face..

I was stunned..

I took a step back..

"Ardene Jackson! " I muttered under my breath, he is the son of the richest diamond business man Myke Jackson's son.. Recently I visited his older son's reception with Jeevika.. "What do you want? " I whispered , I had a great bond with his father..

"Just a secret admirer of your, you can say! " he said and came towards me.. He started walking around me, "Remember the day you got kidnapped and a mask guy saved you , it's me.. I dropped you safely at home, but your dad didn't even show any gratefulness towards me! " he said in my ear, I made a distance quickly . His presence was disgusting..

"The world is so cruel. The people who betray you, the people who try to harm you, you like them. But people like me who actually wants a good life for you, you hate them! " his words were like a puzzle which were running above my head..

"What do you want? Why are you wasting my time? " I said in frustration. "My mom is in ICU, don't waste my time and let me go! " I said, his evil laugh echoed each corner of the factory.. I was extremely terrified but didn't let it visible on my face..

He bent down in front of me, matching our height.. I glared at him.. "Sweetheart, don't you want to know who is AR? "

"Abir Rajvansh! "

And his name was enough to take my breath away, I snapped my head towards him. "Listen, I am not a five year old baby to whom you will mislead and expect me to believe everything you say! " I scoffed , he gestured for his man  something which I didn't understand.. Only thing I knew was Abir is not behind all this..

"Look carefully at the screen! " He pointed at a presentation board. There was a picture of papa and Yuvan uncle (Abir's father) , they were pointing gun at each other .. It's a old picture.. "Agarwal and Rajvansh, these two families are thirsty for each other's blood, and their son are no less! " he revealed. "I have a lot to show you, "

A lot of pictures were shown in the presentation.. "You remember, when you were in 9th class, your father met with an deadly accident. Do you want to see the live footage! " It brought the nightmare and my old wound got refreshed. The incident after which I decided to leave home. Papa was fighting the hardest battle against death. I was numb. After he got discharged I told him to leave all this, but he didn't. So I left them.

Ardene played a video and it shook the inner wall of my heart.. Yuvan uncle deliberately hit papa's car, my leg started trembling.. I was taken aback.. "Your favorite boy, Abir Rajvansh.. Let me show his reality to you! " he said, my stomach twisted in pain. Because I trusted him a lot, "Let me erase his good boy personality! " he started another video..

"I, Abir Rajvansh, from this moment I am sacrificing my life to you. From today your path will be mine, your enemies will be mine. I will give you justice and for that even I have to kill someone I won't step back. Even I have to lie someone, I have to betray someone, I won't step back. For me my mission is beyond everything, " he took oath in front Yuvan uncle..

A tear dropped from my eyes. I just expected too much from him which was giving me measure pain, my heart became extremely weak. He is a mafia too. It broke my heart and broke the trust which I had upon him even though my mind was telling me a whole different story.

"You know who is behind your dearest mom's accident? One and only Abir Rajvansh! " he stated, "It can't be true, because he is in India! " I blurted out, "So much trust han? " he showed me another picture. It's from Airport. "He has come to Australia just after you in his private jet! " in that picture the date and time were clearly mentioned.

"He used you because he knows what you are to your family. Sharanya used your brother! Oh you both fool people, love is blind and they both manipulated you like no one! "

I became silent.. It's not love, I don't love him. But yes! I definitely thought he's different, I had a soft corner for him in my heart. All these days he were with me just because I was a part of his dirty game? I had no energy left to even cry or shout. I felt betrayed . Everything was alright, but he harmed my mom as well? He can't be a maroon!!

After all these years , again I was pushed into a reality that's bitter , that's cruel and pathetic.. All the moments I shared with Abir kept flashing in front of my eyes..

And suddenly the room got filled with smoke.. Someone pressed my lips and lifted me completely. I tried to free myself, but I couldn't. And when I came out of the darkness, I found myself on the rooftop of my factory..

"Leave her! " Ardene shouted, I turned my head to look the face of the person who's holding me.. My breath stuck, my eyes met with the dark brown eyes, his stoned eyes were staring at Adrene.. He freed me and I stood on the ground. My eyes devoid of any emotions, again went back to his eyes. After all this I still wanted to believe him. I knew what Adrene said was just a fucking lie.

"Call the chopper! " Abir said to his guard, I was standing there like a statue. I was surrounded by two enemies and both were my enemies.  "Abir, I am warning you ,let her go .. Otherwise you know it won't take me a second to kill you!" Ardene threatened Abir, all the guns were pointed towards him. Abir chuckled.

His laugh echoed the surroundings, giving deadly chills into my veins.

And suddenly I was pulled back, a knife was placed around my neck and I was near the edge of the building. One wrong move and I will fall down. I couldn't believe it was Abir who did this to me. The last piece of trust just broke into pieces.. " Think before you speak Ardene! Your princess is with me. It won't even take a second for me to kill her right on the spot! " Abir spoke, it sent chills down my spine.

For the first time I saw his aggressiveness and it's towards me.. "Abir, please! Don't harm her, " Ardene pleaded, "She's bleeding, Abir.. Put that knife away! " Adrene screamed in pain, my heart beat increased.. Abir pressed the knife more into my neck causing me pain.. My fingers reached my neck and I felt something like liquid and when I gazed at my finger it's filled with blood..
