"I don't really know why I am still hoping."

If there is a pause button in everyone's life then it would be so helpful for people to remain in the same situation where they lived in a very short span of time yet that is the sweetest and happiest period of their life. For most of the people they wanted to go back to their childhood but for Roshini she wanted to be in this college life as Siddharth's girlfriend, again and again till eternity. Because she doesn't know that she again get a chance to be with him, by his side as a close person.

Days are running and their busy life has made 'No' time for them to meet each other often, Roshini never thinks it is 'No time' there is something changed between them. She felt that she is normal as usual but Siddharth attitude has changed a little bit. But he never showed that frankly in his actions.

It is almost the end of the fifth semester, just one more semester then Siddharth will entirely leave her side. Already he is busy with his project work, that is the reason he said to her so he didn't get time to meet Roshini and she is running behind her placement training not minding about him in all her time. She can feel that she is wasting her time thinking about him. There is a limit to everything and Roshini almost reached that limit. She slowly started realizing the trueness about everything that she avoided to comprehend.

In the past months sometimes even when they are happened to meet each other Siddharth will leave giving excuses. Roshini noticed this as unusual since he never acted this way. More the days passed the more she gets an anxious feeling, a fear that whether Siddharth will leave her without telling what's in his heart. Is there really anything like thag? She asks herself feeling the emptiness of her unrequited feelings.

Before she had a strong feeling that Siddharth will express his love someday but nowadays that hope level is decreasing in her. But still there are six months and anything can happen so Roshini doesn't lose all her hope because that is what Siddharth advised her on the other day.

It was their last working day of the fifth semester, Roshini went to submit the assignments to her professor. When she stood before his room Siddharth was there talking with the professor.

"Excuse me, sir," hearing Roshini's voice Siddharth eyes widened in shock, his facial expression has changed.

"Yes come in Roshini," her professor welcomed her in with a smile.

"Sir Assignments?" she asked and didn't look Siddharth.

"Keep that on the cupboard," he told and continued his talk.

"Yeah Siddharth you can apply anywhere, and studying in abroad is also a better idea. But don't stay there itself, your brain should be used for our country benefit not to any other person. So try to start a business here," his professor's speech made both Roshini and Siddharth to stand frozen.

Roshini has understood his plans and Siddharth felt guilty that Roshini heard about this thing. She left the room saying thank you to her professor. After reaching her class she quickly packed her bag and asked Nidhi to get ready to leave.

All her classmates have already left only Roshini and Nidhi were in that room. Nidhi hearing her command took her bag and came out in a confusion. That time Siddharth came before them, seeing him Roshini turned her gaze to the other side.

"Hi" he waved his hand.

"Hi bro," Nidhi replied and Roshini didn't respond.

"When the semester is starting for you?" he asked.

"After two weeks," Nidhi replied and Roshini was silent for this question too, showed her anger hurt and stress.

"Okay, then bye. Enjoy the holidays and study hard," he told looking Roshini and this time she looked at him and smiled.

That's all he walked away leaving Roshini stunned. He didn't mind about explaining that to her. Roshini before walking away turned to see Siddharth she now clearly understood that he is indeed changed.
She asked herself whether she did anything wrong but nothing came to her mind since she has done nothing.

"What happened? Is there any problem between you and Siddharth?" Nidhi asked when they were traveling on the bus.

She nodded, "But I think, nothing will happen like I expected," Roshini looking out in a dismay and Nidhi didn't understand the meaning in her words and nodded her head.

Their exams ended on a sunny Tuesday, they went back to their Roshini and Nidhi went again to that water theme park on the next day since Nidhi's dad again got that free passes and he gave that to her. Roshini first not agreed to this but Nidhi's compulsion and even her inner self-wanted something refreshing than being dumped in the same feelings that were throttling her.

They went by bus, the climate was cool and refreshing. While traveling,

"Roshini what happened to you? Why you are always looking sad?" Nidhi asked the question that was bothering her.

"I am normal Nidhi," she replied with a smile.

"Don't lie, it is evident in your face that you are sad, you are not like usual Roshan. Share with me at least," Nidhi gripping her hand said.

"I think Siddharth has changed Nidhar, he is not talking with me properly and trying to avoid me," she told.

"Reason?"

"I don't know but I think I am not going to be in his future anymore." "Who I am? Just a normal middle class girl, not so good looking and I am not equal to him in anything. I am a fool Nidhar, without thinking about all these things I fallen madly in love with him," her lips curled into a smile but her eyes welled in tears.

"Don't think like that," Nidhi said and she also sensed Siddharth's distance from Roshini few times.

"I know Nidhar, please don't encourage me. He had helped me many times and talked very friendly, even sometimes sweetly like my real boyfriend. But falsely I assumed its all love. Once he told that I am his crush I think its just a short time attraction on me." Roshini wiped her tears and looked out.

"Let it go Roshini," Nidhi said.

"Yeah, it is difficult to hanging on it. I am just going to forget this," Roshini gave a reassuring smile.

"Boys are always heartbreakers," Nidhi frowned.

"Why you are talking like this when you having the most charming husband," Roshini chuckled.

"I don't know whether he is thinking about me or not. It is been a month since he came here. This time I am planning to go Delhi," Nidhi told.

"Hey that's a great idea, do it!"

"Hmm let's see what my husband decision is," Nidhi smiled.

They enjoyed the rest of the day playing in the water forgetting all their worries and burdens. Roshini knows this happiness is for short time, at the end she is going to end up in pain but now she wanted to be happy at least for some time.

In the holidays Nidhi begged Varun to come home but he was very busy especially at the weekends so he couldn't. Then finally he announced that he is coming home in two days. And Nidhi was very excited. It is boring to see him in video call all the time, it will never equalize like meeting in person.

Roshini started home tutoring classes in the holidays, her aunt helped in getting this part-time job. There is no calls, No messages and Siddharth was mostly inactive on online. She message him sometimes and he reply for that after two days, so she entirely stopped messaging him. She finalized this will be her end and remained calm. She sometimes took that letter and read, instantly she will start crying, because it is not just words it is her love that her heart carried all these years. All she worried is how she is going to comfort her heart after he leaves.

"Varun came!" Nidhi's mother in law shouted and Nidhi came out of the kitchen washing her hands. Today Nidhi only cooked putting a lot of care and love for Varun.

She literally ran out and when she saw Varun she had a feeling that is more than happiness, it is unexplainable. Varun all of a sudden  hugged Nidhi in front of his parents. They didn't said anything and left them giving their personal space.

Drawing out from the hug, she beat him on his shoulders and punched his stomach. Varun acted like its paining and smiled.

"You are so cruel Varun, this time I am not going to forgive you at all," Nidhi said and walked. Varun pulled her hand and she glared. He hugged her again and said, "I missed you" that voice just melted all her anger and she hugged him back in a very caring way.

Varun came out of the bath and dressed in sweatpants and T-shirt, he had the breakfast that Nidhi prepared for him, it's full of Kerala cuisine and Varun trying it for the first time.

"How is it?" Nidhi looked at him.

"Not bad," he replied and Nidhi face became little sad. He smirked looking at her but actually, the food was fantastic, even her mother in law appreciated that.

Varun's mom advised him to take rest so he went up and Nidhi washing the dishes followed him. When she entered the room Varun hugged her from behind shocking her.

"Why it took so long for you to come, have you forget that I am a bad boy?" Varun nibbled her earlobe.

"I... va...ru..." she stuttered since his hands were playing with her forbearance.

He turned her and slammed his lips on her and he overtook her hindrance and the result they were ended up naked in the bed.

"Really they are not in love?" Varun asked hearing the entire story of Roshini and Siddharth.

"Yeah, I sometimes thought to tell you this but I hoped that one day they will become actual lovers. Now it is all gone in Vain." Nidhi told.

"But Nidhu, that guy Siddharth told me that he is in love with her, few times we talked right?" Varun still can't believe that. He has seen the love in Siddharth's eyes.

"But that's all fake, but I too thought like that. He has done many things to her. But something went wrong in between," Nidhi told.

"I don't think that he is faked. Like you said something has gone wrong in this. But I am feeling sorry for your friend," Varun told and Nidhi nodded sadly.

"If he really had love on her, that's what I saw in him then one day he will come to her. It all happens Nidhu. Not everyone is Varun, right? Taking decisions without compromising for anyone. Perhaps that's the reason he abandons his love," Varun chuckled.

"Hmm yeah you are an uncompromising freak but you don't know how charming you are than any other guy, I am so lucky," she gritted and pinched his cheeks.

"Uh huh," Varun smirked and pushed her to lay flat and started kissing her tenderly.
