It was late in the evening as there is a slight breeze where the trees hustle and bustle,squirrels returning to their home after finding food.
Jasmine was sitting on the bench in the garden reading a book and suddenly the birds nest caught her interest. The mother bird was feeding her kids. Jas was mesmerised by it and felt that she should thank her mother for everything she had done for her.
"Jas"interrupted her brother Yasir.
"Yeah"
"Mama is calling"
She was annoyed because she planned to capture a photo of the birds but was disturbed by her naughty brother.
"Yes mama"asks Jasmine.
"Get ready we are going to pick the dress for your cousins wedding"informs her mother Fathima.
Jasmine dreaded going to her cousins wedding as there would many relatives,half of them whom she doesn't know.she wanted to tell her mother that she doesn't want to attend the wedding but she knew better not to say it aloud so she went to get ready.

NEXT WEEK
Jasmine and her family went to the wedding hall early because they were close relatives and was supposed to welcome other guests.
     As she entered the hall, she was awe struck because her aunt had done an extraordinary job in decorating. She knew they were not very rich but had done their best. There was a huge chandelier in the middle of the hall lighted with fake candles and fairy lights surrounded the four walls.The tables and chairs were decorated with green,white and blush pink flowers which gave it a rustic look. The throne was also adorned with flowers and the bride was sitting in plush sofa wearing a beautiful red lehenga with rich beads and stones embroidered into it and the colour complimented to her cousins fair complexion.
Jasmine wished for a wedding like this but knew that her father liked it simple not an elegant one.
As she was searching for her cousins she prayed that they would forget teasing her with Amina's brother.
Last year the cousins had gathered for a family function and discussed about who their recent crush was but unfortunately misunderstood about Jasmine and her crush which they assumed would be Amina's brother Arib. She denied so many times that it was not him but they would disagree with her.
    Finally she spotted them gathered in the corner of the hall laughing at something. She felt a knot forming in her stomach but felt the courage and walked towards them.
