Poison
Tempting, but I won't get fooled that easily. If she had told me where she got my number then maybe I would've believed her. Her hesitating before answering my question was enough to say that this is just a scheme.
Why now? Why are they doing this now? Why did Momo and the rest of her siblings decide that after two years, they should try to reach out to me?
I know why they just need me for my money, I'm not stupid I watch the news. They're going broke, all of their activities and parties came to an end about 5 months ago. They can't stand the thought of being poor so they call out for the outcast.
There are some rich members of Unity, but their money won't suffice their money problems. The money sitting in my bank account, is what their looking at.
After getting my freedom, I was finally able to touch my money. I was shocked to see the amount I had, it doubled since the last time I seen the balance.
Now don't think I'm just sitting on my ass and wasting my money without adding onto it. I found a new source of income, I'm a supplier.
It's quite fun playing with people who desperately need things.
Anyways, I buy rare things and sell them at a higher base price for to the highest bidder, all while keeping my identity a secret. I want to stay in the game but I don't want my opponents to know me.
So I hide behind a fake, my trusty alias name is Rebecca Pierce.
With nearly $700 million dollars, I got to make a life for myself and my babies. They have all that they need and want with a never ending money source.
Now those greedy rats in the US want my money-
"Mommy!"
Huh? I snapped out of my head space when I heard Zain's yell."Yes?" I answered as I followed his movements to stand on his feet.
"You zoned out again." He said.
I sighed, rubbing my forehead. I need to control that, zoning out into my headspace is an invite for Jade to surface up.
"Let's go Ant! We're going home!" Zain yelled out to Ant. From the loud whine coming out of Ant, I knew we'd be here for a little while longer.
Zain threw his head back with a groan, "Mommy can you get him this time? He always listens to you."
I know he ain't just ask me that, Ant is my baby but everything I make Zain do is a lesson. Getting his brother to calm down and listen to him is a major one.
Being able to influence people with words and actions is something he'll need in the future. I'm actually glad that Ant is a rebel, he's a great asset to Zain's training. Not only will Zain grow stronger but also his bond with his brother will too.
"For asking that question, you'll have to get Ant into the car too."
I smirked when Zain sent me his signature glare before going off to chase his brother, he really needs to fix that. He looks like a sad little puppy when he glared at me.
My eyes stayed on the chaotic scene being played before me. Watching Ant throw a tantrum when Zain caught him made me reminisce the times when Jhak did the same with me.
Dad was teaching Jhak the same lesson I'm teaching Zain. It's tradition actually, to have the older child practically drill their authority into their younger siblings.
Momo did it to Tre, Tre did it to Ty, Ty did it to Jhak, Jhak did it to me, I did it to Monique, Monique did it to Travis, and Travis did it to Jaja.
Eyes
Eyes
I feel eyes on me
The hair on my neck stood up in apprise, I can literally feel the danger radiating in the air.
"What are you doing?! Get out of here!!"
Quickly I stood up and briskly approached my arguing kids. "Let's go." I said abruptly, pulling their arms with me towards the car.
Ant wiggled against my hold, still trying to go back to play with the damn grasshoppers. Snapping my head to him I seethed out the code word that'll make him listen.
"Poison."
Zain gasped, understanding that we could possibly be in danger. He looked at his brother who also understood what I said. Poison was our code word for danger, we chose that word because it caused a meaningful turning event for us all.
I got them in the car and drove off to one of my decoy houses, once we got there, we quickly grabbed some things that we'll need and switched cars.
Taking the secret tunnel under the woods and out onto the main road, I stayed vigilant, making sure no one followed me or any purposeful encounters with outsiders.
Grabbing my new phone, I dialed the only person who I fully trust with my kids.
She picked up immediately on the first ring, bring a smile on my face. "Hi honey." Her sweet voice answered
"Hi, sorry for the sudden call but I need serious supervision over my kids." I said hurriedly, finally getting onto the highway.
Mrs. Jackson gasped, "I get to watch them?!!!" She said happily. I chuckled, "Yes you can, I'll be at your house by early morning."
She shrieked in excitement and quickly started rambling on what she'll do with them, which I honestly didn't care about. "Ok that's great, just be sure no one finds out that they're the kids from the France incident."
After our somewhat crash at the airport in France, my news have made it worldwide. Everyone knew about us but we remained faceless and nameless to the world.
Our news lingered in people's mouths for months, it's annoyed me so much that I had literally punched someone for asking me if I've heard about that story.
"Yes yes, I won't say anything. Gosh I'm so excited! My grand babies are coming! I gotta go fix up a room for them. Gotta go, have a safe travel!" Mrs. Jackson quickly said before hanging up on me.
Well now that problem is covered, onto the next.
"Mommy." Zain called
I looked into the rear view mirror to see my baby's sad face. I knew exactly what he was thinking, he didn't want to leave me and neither do I, but I need him in a safe place for when I go investigate on whose on me.
"Please. Zain...I don't wanna here it."
