જ⁀➴ 𝐼𝜋 𝐹𝜎𝑟𝜅𝑠, 𝑊𝛼𝑠𝘩𝜄𝜋𝑔𝜏𝜎𝜋 stood a beautifully intricate house containing a certain family. The house was the only one for miles, hidden behind the forest they lived in. However, despite the house being a normal modern house, the family living in it was anything but normal.

The head of the family was Carlisle Cullen with his wife Esme Cullen sat together on the couch near the floor to ceiling window in the living room. Esme was talking to her youngest son Edward Cullen as he played the grand piano directly next to the window. Carlisle held Esme in his lap as he read over a few files from his job at the local hospital.

On the floor sat Emmett Cullen and Jasper Hale, both of them were playing the playstation and teasing each other. They were leaning back against their partners' legs on the couch, craving their closeness.

Rosalie Hale–Jasper's twin– sat on the other couch behind Emmett, her partner, reading a car magazine and taking notes in a little notebook, designing her dream car. Valen Blackwater sat next to Rosalie behind Jasper, his partner, using one hand to run through his lover's hair while he used the other to read a book, letting out a few chuckles here and there as he listened to the bickering brothers.

The last two family members sat together on one of the loveseats in the living room. Vidalia Blackwater–Valen's younger twin sister–sat with her partner Alice Cullen, curled up on her lap. The two of them browsed through fashion catalogs on Alice's laptop, gushing over the cute outfits that slid past the screen.

The family looked normal as they all sat together doing their own things, engaging in mundane activities and spending quality time together but they held a secret that no one could know.

They were vampires.

All of them except Vidalia and Valen, who were the only biological siblings in the entire family. They were a different kind of creature–abominations, many would say–but Heretic was the technical term, the correct term for what they were. Siphoner witches turned vampires, they were able to keep their magical abilities even after death.

The twins were also not the same type of vampire as the Cullen coven; they were the original kind. While their kind of vampire had been an intentional mistake, the Cullens' kind of vampire was an accidental mistake–an accident that had manifested a millennia ago due to one grieving woman's fear.

A gasp echoed throughout the living room before the laptop that Alice and Vidalia fell to the floor, thankfully not breaking due to the soft rug under their feet. Everyone's attention shifted to the two girls on the loveseat and saw Alice's eyes glazed over with a soft pink hue as she stared out the window behind Edward's head. Vidalia cradled her mate to her chest calmly, waiting for the vision to pass.

Edward watched Alice's vision vividly, as if he was the one experiencing it, his mind-reading gift coming in handy yet again. All he could focus on in the vision, though, was the pale brunette stepping out of an ugly red truck. He completely ignored the dark-skinned woman that the vision seemed to be centered around, especially ignoring how close the girl would be to his three sisters.

Alice slumped down in her mate's arms, taking in an unneeded breath as she came out of the vision before she perked up again.

"Oh my gods. Jas, Val, she's here," Alice said, squealing loudly. She stood up from Vidalia's lap and danced merrily over to the two men–complete opposites–who looked at her in confusion.

"Who is here, petite fée?" Valen asked, the French endearment slipping easily from his lips as he looked up at the girl he considered his little sister.

"Your mate, of course," she said as she plopped down beside the older man, giving him and his mate a giddy smile. The two men stared at her, dumbfounded.

"But... we're already mated..." Jasper looked even more confused than before. How could he have two mates? Was that even possible?

"Yes, but you two have more than one mate. I've seen little snippets of all of them over the years but I've only ever seen her frequently. I believe she is the center of your soon-to-be polycule." Glee shone brightly in her golden eyes as she gazed at the two men she considered her brothers. The look of disbelief on their faces caused a small giggle to escape her.

"Um, Alice, honey, just how many mates do Valen and Jasper have?" Esme asked as she gripped Carlisle's hand tightly. A strange feeling slipped over her–one she couldn't decipher.

"They have five, not including themselves," the way she said it made it sound like this was normal, but according to Carlisle, it wasn't. He had taught all but Valen and Vidalia that the norm was having only one mate for life.

Thankfully, Valen and Vidalia had erased that notion from Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett, and Alice's minds. They had been unable to do the same to Esme and Edward though because by the time they joined the coven, Carlisle already had his hooks in them, as they had been with him longer than any of the others.

"Seems accurate," Vidalia commented, a soft smile gracing her lips as she watched the scene with a feeling of happiness. She was happy that her twin and his mate–whom she considered a brother–were finally going to be whole.

"Is she a vampire?" Rosalie asked, running her delicate fingers through her mate's hair. She smiled at the soft rumble of his purrs as she did so.

"Nope, but she's not a human. I know that for sure, i'm just unsure what to call it. She looks to have the same gift as the twins do." A frown slipped onto her face as she thought about it more.

The Blackwater twins had not yet told the coven about the other supernatural beings that inhabited the world. Due to them all being wrapped up in their own little world because of Carlisle, they weren't as informed as they should have been.

They only briefly explained that they were a different type of vampire–one that had been created long before the cold ones– and that they had a similar 'gift' due to them being twins. Kind of like the Volturi twins, Jane and Alec.

The coven had no knowledge of witches, siphoners, werewolves, doppelgängers, sirens or any of the others. The twins had planned to tell Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett about the vastness of the supernatural world in only a few days, but it seemed like that was going to be delayed yet again.

"If she's not a vampire, then she has to be a human." Rosalie scowled.

"Oh, don't be like that, Rosie. Maybe she'll be fun. I've been itching for someone new to play with." Emmett grinned.

Rosalie slapped his shoulder roughly, ignoring his grunt and pout.

"Actually, even if she is human, you and her are going to be extremely close, Rose. I've seen her being very close with you, me, Em, and Vi, aside from Jas and Val," Alice said.

"Doubtful," Rosalie grumbled, picking her magazine back up.

"What about the other girl?" Edward finally spoke, breaking out of his daze.

"What about her?" Alice rolled her eyes.

"Isn't she my mate?" Edward frowned.

"No. I'm a hundred percent sure that she's your blood singer, so stay away from her, kay?" Alice gave him a sweet smile but he clearly saw the malice within her eyes.

"No, I'm pretty sure she's my mate. I felt a connection to her. I saw us together." He insisted, ignoring her warning.

"How are you going to tell me about my own damn vision Edward? It was MY vision. Not yours. I'd like to think that the person with the precognition–that she's had all her life mind you–would know how to decipher her own fucking visions. She's not your mate, Edward. Get over it." Alice scowled.

Edward had stood up in the middle of her small rant, sneering at her. She wasn't scared of the golden child, though. She could take care of herself and if she ever needed help, she knew all but two vampires in the room would stand by her side no matter what.

"Edward, sit the fuck down." Rosalie growled, pushing herself to her feet as well. She was protective of the tiny fairy girl, her little sister in all but blood.

"We'll see about that." He snarled before he sped from the room.

Valen and Jasper shared a look with the others in the room, excluding Carlisle and Esme. They knew this was just the beginning. Once they set their eyes on those girls, everything would change.

Whether it was for better or for worse, they didn't know but they would soon find out.

The Arizona heat bared down on the 17 year old girl standing in the middle of her backyard. She gently bounced the bundle in her arms, humming a soft tune for the little girl.

She held her daughter close to her chest, as usual, taking in her soft features. The little girl had her grandmother's eyes, a soft hazel with more green than brown. Her hair was curly atop her little head and her skin was a golden brown, glowing under the beaming sunlight.

"Ria, you ready to go, honey?" A masculine voice reached the teens' heightened senses. She turned around, lifting a hand to shield her eyes from the sun and gazed up at her stepfather who stood at the top of the porch steps.

Before her stood Phil Dwyer, her beloved stepfather. He gazed at the teen and her daughter fondly, his arms crossed against his chest as he leaned on the porch post.

"Is Isabella ready? I'm ready, I was just waiting for your stepdaughter to get her uncoordinated ass to the car." Nymeria grinned at her second dad.

"Yes, Bella is ready. Are you really ready though?" Phil chuckled before becoming serious. His voice softened a bit as he took in her tired form.

"I'm ready, pops. I'm okay and I'm ready to go home." Nymeria gave him a soft smile as she stepped up the porch stairs to reach him.

Phil sighed softly and pulled her into his arms, careful of the baby in her arms. He felt her melt against his chest and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

"You know I'm always going to be here right? Even if Renée and I don't last much longer. I'm just a phone call away," he said, his voice low.

"I know, pops. Thank you," she said, pulling away from the hug. She heard a coo and looked down at her daughter.

"Ray seems to be having the best time," Phil said, a laugh bubbling up in his throat as he watched the 7 month old reach for a few of her mothers wild curls, babbling and cooing seamlessly.

"Well hopefully she falls asleep soon for the flight." Nymeria sighs, not stopping her baby from satisfying her curiosity.

"She will, just keep her away from Bella and all will be fine. We've been doing this for 7 months now, we can do it for a little while longer until you get to your dads. He's been ready to take over for me for years now and finally it's time. Also, I know your mom won't let anything happen to you under their roof," Phil said.

He led his stepdaughter and granddaughter inside the house to grab the last of their things knowing that if they spent more time outside, his wife would come find them and he would rather the three not be in the same vicinity for longer than needed.

"I know, I can't wait to see them again. I'm sure my little flower has been missing her grandparents." Nymeria smiled down at the cooing baby and pressed a kiss to her nose.

"I have no doubt about that with how much they spoil her with not only materialistic things but with love and affection." Phil laughed, grabbing Raisel's baby bag and Nymeria's last duffle bag before he led them outside to the car where Renée and Isabella were sitting impatiently.

"Hurry up. We're gonna be late for the flight," Renée said out the open window. Her annoyance rang through her words.

Phil and Nymeria shared a look and rolled their eyes discreetly before Phl made his way to the trunk while the teen got in the car. She made sure to buckle Raisel in tightly before buckling herself in and placing her arm around the carseat protectively, to keep Isabella's grubby hands from touching her.

A few moments later, Phil climbed into the driver's seat and pulled out of the driveway. Nymeria slipped one of her airpods in and played some music while she occupied herself with Raisel for the duration of the hour-long drive to the airport.

Time passed by in a blur and soon enough, Phil was pulling along the entrance to the crowded airport. He parked and slipped out to grab the girls' bags and Raisels stroller from the trunk while Nymeria grabbed Ravens car seat. Renée and Isabella got out ignoring Nymeria and Raven, not bothering to help her. Not that she would've allowed it anyways.

A few moments later, all of them stood by the car, Raisel's car seat attached to her stroller and her baby bag placed inside while Nymeria held her duffle across her body and her suitcase in one hand.

"This is it..." Phil said, stepping up next to Nymeria and Raisel, paying no mind to Renée and Isabella who gave him a look of annoyance.

"Have fun, pops. Also, if you find a man or multiple that catch your eye, please call me. I need to make sure they're good for you before you go and divorce the she devil." Nymeria smiled mischievously. She had spoken so low that the other two didn't hear her.

Phil laughed and nodded, pulling her into a tight hug. "I'll miss you, Ria, take care of yourself down there." He pressed a kiss to her forehead before he pulled back and leaned down to press a light kiss to Raisel's forehead, smiling at her sleepy cooing.

Nymeria had to hold back tears, watching her father figure say a polite goodbye to Isabella then go back into the car and leave them there. She knew he would be back, she just wouldn't be there when he did.

She would be okay though. This was just a new beginning for her and her daughter. This time she wouldn't let anyone hurt her, no matter who they were.
