You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

~Lucy's POV
"Wake up, Lucy, wake up," I heard a voice say. My mind was all blurry and I couldn't make up who had said it. I felt the person shaking me. I opened my eyelids. They still felt heavy.
I say the blur of a person in front of me. We were outside, the sun was shining right down at me. I saw orange hair and black clothing. "Loki?" I asked. I put my hand above my eyes, shielding me from the light.
"Lucy! You're awake!" he exclaimed. I sat up. That was hard, my body was drained and it hurt. "What happened?" My throat was dry. Loki noticed and gave me a bottle with water. I immediately drank it up.
"When you blacked out Natsu went mad, like really mad. And because it is Sunday..." Loki trailed off.
I groaned. "Sunday? Out of all these days it has to be Sunday."
Loki nodded and stood up, dusting off his suit. He looked around, a calm look on his face now. "You actually should be happy that it is. He made this job easier."
"Are you ready to walk? We have a long way to go," Loki said and helped me up.
My eyes widened at the realization. "Do we have the plant?" I asked. I panicked, if we don't then everything was in vain.
"Yes."
That one answer calmed me.
We walked in silence through the desert and the forest. At one point I sighed. Why am I such a burden to everyone? I always have to be saved. I can't do anything alone.
"What's with the upset face?" Loki asked with a raised eyebrow.
We stood before the line to the mountains, the cold weather. I lost all my clothes I brought with me.
I sighed and turned to look at him, "How can I get stronger?"
To my surprise Loki looked shocked about my question. "What... what do you mean?"
I shrugged. "I don't want to be the damsel in distress all the time."
He chose to not answer on that but I know what he wanted to say. That I'm not helpless etc. but I'm not pitying myself, I just want to get stronger to protect my friends.
"I get it, I get it. Just let's go," Loki said and stepped a foot on the mountain said, as did I.
We were immediately welcomed by the cold. "Get on my back, Lucy," Loki said.
I raised my eyebrow. "I'm capable of walking myself, thank you."
He didn't listen and lifted me up. And then he run forward, holding me tightly on his back.
For the following two days we did the same; walking, walking and running. Now finally we reached the guildhall.
I thanked Loki and he left.
First I have to go to Porlyusica, I feel like she is the only one who knows how to make the right perfume.
I embraced myself as I stood in front of her house. I knocked three times, waiting for a respond.
She swiftly opened the door with a glare on her face. "Go away, human! Scram!" Then she slammed the door in my face.
I tried again and this time she threw pans to me. Another time she opened with a dead glare directed to me. "What do you want?"
I smiled awkwardly. "My friends are in danger an--" I couldn't even finish my sentence before she slammed the door again.
I felt a bright line shining and saw Natsu appearing in front of me. He looked impatient and angry.
He knocked with his fist hard on the door. "Listen here, you old woman! Fairy Tail's members are in fucking danger so you better listen to what Lucy has to say!"
He turned back to normal. I smiled slightly and placed my arm around his torso and hugged him from behind. "Thank you, Natsu." I was thanking him from earlier, by the temple.
He visibly tensed as he turned around. "No problem."
Porlyusica opened the door again and I was almost ready to dodge the coming pans, only there weren't any pans flying in the air.
She looked pissed, "What happened?" Her tone was sharp. I got shivers from it.
"Crystal fever. Plant. Perfume. Save," I said. She raised her eyebrows and look in my hand to see the plants. Her mouth went open and she was shocked.
"You brought the plants from the temple?"
I nodded and she put her mouth in a tight line. She snatched it out of my hands and slammed the door.
I scoffed. "What is wrong with her?" I want to tug my hair out. Natsu shrugged as we went to set beside a tree. "At least she is making it."
I grabbed his hands, "How are you? What happened in the temple? Why did you leave? Why didn't you come back?" I was worried about him. He didn't show a single thing of himself.
I could see a pink tint forming on his cheeks. He looked to the side, flushed. I never saw Natsu blushing, but it makes him look cute.
"I'm fine. I left because I wasn't thinking straight so I could have hurt you."
Porlyusica came out and threw me a bottle of perfume. Her glare softened. "There! Now scram!" Only her tone didn't.
I hastily stood up and dusted off my skirt.
Before she closed her door, she said something again. "Tell Makarov what an idiot he is."
Her door slammed shut and Natsu and I looked at each other. I held in my laugh and so did he. "Thank you, Porlyusica."
We went to the guild, walking. An idea came into my mind. "Ne, Natsu, what do you think of becoming a member?"
He raised his eyebrow and put his hands behind his head. "I don't feel excited in becoming one." But then he looked at me and smiled. "But if you want me, I will."
I smiled. "Natsu..."
I grabbed his hand in I ran forward, dragging him with me to the guildhall. A laugh playing on my face. Oh hell yes I want that.
I sprayed the perfume over everyone and slowly the crystal began to sink.
After everyone became normal I explained the details. Levy ran to me and hugged me tightly. "Oh, Lu~chan!"
Soon there was a party again. "Cheers to Lucy saving us once again!" someone said.
I saw Natsu in a corner, looking awfully bored. I grinned and brought a glass of beer to him. "You want one?" I asked and poked him with the glass.
He brushed it off and said no. "Mira!" I yelled over the noise of the party.
She came to us with a mischievous smirk on her lips. "What's up, Lucy?"
She eyed Natsu and me. I feel Natsu fidgeting under her stare. "Natsu wants to become a member."
Natsu rose his eyebrow unnoticed by Mira, as if saying 'I do?'
Mira clapped her hands together. "That's fantastic! Let me get the stamp. Which colour would you like?"
Natsu snorted. "Red, of course. And on my right shoulder." When Mira walked away to get it, Natsu's face suddenly became red. He looked shocked and tensed up.
"Natsu? Natsu? What's wrong?" I asked worriedly. Why did he suddenly look that way? I placed my hand on his back, rubbing it.
He brushed my hand away. "Nothing to worry about. I just heard some thing."
I wanted to ask what kind of thing, but before I could Mira came back. Something about Mira's look makes me uneasy. I bet she assumes we are together together.
Somewhere I would like that.
Lucy! What did you just think? Natsu is your spirit and your friend! He won't become more.
"Tada! Now you're officially a member of the Fairy Tail Guild!" Mira cheered. Natsu grinned, showing his with sharp teeth.
"Thanks," he said and turned to me. He showed me the mark and a look of pure joy was plastered on his face.
"What do ya think, Luce?"
I was still drowning in my thoughts as he shook me. "It's nice." I gave him a warm smile by saying so.
Mira smirked and walked away. "Have fun together."
I twitched my eyebrow. "You're evil!" I shouted at her retreating back. I swear I have to get back at her. Always when I'm with Natsu she would tease me. Just you wait, Mira. Two can play matchmaker.
Natsu was too dense to understand what she meant. He shrugged his shoulder and smiled at me again.
I pushed him with my arm. "I thought you didn't care whether you were a member or not. But here I am, seeing you full of joy."
And for a moment, I saw happiness in his eyes. He closed his eyes for a second, when he opened it he hugged me.
A cute pout came from him and I pushed Natsu to the bar. "I'm hungry!" I yelled and ordered some food.
Natsu ordered some spicy food. I grabbed two forks and two knifes and gave one of each to Natsu.
He looked at the two silver objects in his hand. He looked at me with a lopsided smile. "You think I'm gonna use them?"
I shook my head and laughed. "I could always try."
He threw them away and just grabbed his plate and shoved it into his mouth. I rolled my eyes.
When is he ever going to eat normal?
He had ordered five plates and grabbed of each plate food and stuffed it into his mouth.
I guess never. But I wouldn't to change anything about his habits.
Erza, Gray and Wendy joined us. Gray patted Natsu's back, as if saying: thank you.
"Without you, Lucy, we would be gone," Erza said and ordered the same thing as always; a strawberry cheesecake.
"You guys would do the same, so it's nothing," I said with an awkward smile. I'm not the best with receiving compliments.
"Lucy~san, are we going to that festival in town tomorrow?" Wendy asked, smiling widely. I heard of that festival too.
"Totally!"
Erza, Wendy and I were talking about random things when I felt a present.
"Love-rival!"
I shrunk back in my seat while I turned around. "Hey, Juvia."
She came in my face with that look of her. I shuddered. "I'm not stealing your Gray. He's yours... hehe."
Argh, she never takes the hint.
I turned to see Natsu and Gray bickering on their chairs, ready to attack each other. Soon I saw a shiver going over Gray's body as he saw Juvia watching him in the corner.
Natsu followed his look behind him. He smirked. "Aww, I didn't know you had any love life at all, Elsa."
Gray took a swig of his drank. His cheeks flushed and it honestly looks cute to see Gray that way.
Why can't they just confess to each other already. I mean, come on, it's clear they have feeling for each other.
Wow, I'm turning into Mira...
"Well, don't hold her up! Confess!" Natsu said and laughed hard. He fell off his chair and landed on the ground. Even then he went further with laughing.
Gray's eyebrow twitched. "Mind your own fucking business, Ash for Brains. Go confess yourself."
Natsu's laughter calmed down. "To who?"
"Lucy, of course," Gray said and had a smirk of his own.
Natsu looked at me with a questioning look. He doubted if I had feelings for him. Which of course... I don't.
I can't help but inwardly shake under Natsu's stare. Just the thought of him confessing made me blush.
What's wrong with me?
Natsu shook his head with a smile. "Ha ha ha, Gray, like I would have any feelings toward this blonde weirdo."
I stood up and went to Natsu, having the advantage of him on the ground and kicked him. He swallowed hard and laughed. We all laughed. The sphere couldn't get any better.
Between the noise I heard Natsu say something. Something that made me happy.
"I'm not alone anymore."
I smacked his head. He looked at me with a questioning look and rubbed his head. He pouted.
"Idiot. You weren't."
