~Nobody's POV
Sunday
Natsu woke up from the tiny bed Lucy has made for him. He was moody and had a frown on his face. He immediately noticed which day it was. His body interrupted in flames, the heat of it caused Lucy to wake up.
"Natsu? What are you doing so early?"
Natsu ignored her and fumbled in all her drawers. Lucy twitched her eyebrows. "What are you doing, Natsu? Don't touch my stuff," Lucy yelled and threw a pillow at him.
The pillow touched him but immediately melted. Lucy took notice of which day it was. She groaned. Natsu has told her everything that could happen every Sunday. She even made a list to remember.
Natsu's traits every Sunday:
-Moody
-Annoying
-Very short temper
-More powerful
-Gets quickly bored and destroys things
-Doesn't know when to stop
-Cocky
-Mean
-Natsu's normal traits are replaced by other traits.
Please tie me up and make sure my magic is limited on Sunday, thanks
P.s. I'm sorry about everything I will say to you, I don't mean it.
Natsu wrote the last part.
Lucy closed her eyes and grabbed some magic concealing rope. Here goes nothing, she thought.
She jumped on Natsu and tried to tackle him. Natsu turned around and blocked her attack with one hand. "What are you trying to do, Lucy?" he asked questioningly, a dark underlying tone in his voice.
"You asked me to try to stop you, so that's what I'm trying to do," Lucy answered and swung her leg to his jewel. However, before she could do it Natsu spun her around and tackled her to the ground.
He laughed. "As if you could do that."
Lucy gritted her teeth and tried hitting him. All Natsu did was dodge it. He even sighed in boredom.
"Stop trying, woman," Natsu said annoyed. He snatched the rope from her hands and bound it around Lucy. "So, that would keep you in check."
Lucy was on the ground, her hands and legs tied.
"Untie me you damn bastard," Lucy shouted.
"Nope," he said and walked to the kitchen. Lucy struggled and struggled but it was hopeless. There is just no way she could catch Natsu.
"What does he think? Does he seriously think I could catch him? This is hopeless," Lucy said and cried anime style.
"Jesus, stop crying woman," Natsu said and returned to her room. He had a plate with food and bent down through her knees.
"Stop calling me woman, Natsu." Lucy scowled at the sight of his smug face. The flames that were around Natsu's body were gone, but the scales, claws and everything still was there.
"Alright, blondie," Natsu rolled off his tongue. He smirked when he saw Lucy's irritated face. "Here, eat up, we got some training to do."
"Please tell me the kitchen isn't destroyed? And what training?" she asked confused. She thought about the time Natsu went to train her. She grunted, that was hell.
"Duh. If I need to protect you, you should at least earn my respect. Now... you're not doing great with earning it."
"You want to protect me?" Lucy was surprised and couldn't contain it. She knew Natsu would protect her, but hearing Sunday Natsu say it shocked her.
"It was a promise, wasn't it?" Natsu said annoyed.
"I guess..." Lucy trailed off. She bent forward, opening her mouth widely, trying to eat the food. She didn't get quite near it. "How am I supposed to eat this with my damn hands tied up?"
Natsu rolled his eyes and untied her. "Why did I agree on you becoming my summoner?"
Happy suddenly flew through the door, sighing tiredly. "Because you love her," he drew out the world love.
Natsu narrowed his eyes and some unknown emotion passed through it. He flicked his finger on fire and grabbed Happy's tail. He stood up and walked to the window, dragging Happy with him. "What are you doing?" Lucy asked.
Natsu swung his arm back and threw Happy far away in the sky.
"Happy!" Lucy yelled, running to the window. She pushed Natsu. "Why did you do that?"
"He can't just come in like that and say that."
Lucy brushed it off, "He does that all the time, so I'm used to it."
"Whatever," he snapped. "Just eat your food and let's begin."
Lucy ate her food painfully slow, on purpose. Eventually Natsu began to be pissed off and growled. "Either you eat that thing up fast or you'll be training on an empty stomach."
Eating fast is it then.
Minutes later Natsu and Lucy were in the woods. "Okay, you know hand-to-hand combat?"
"Does my kick and punch count?"
"Nope. You just kick and punch the opponent without tactic." Natsu began guiding her foot towards the right position and placed her hands in an offensive stance.
Sunday Natsu was surprisingly patient as he guided Lucy to the right stance. He grabbed her arm gently, grabbing it with such carefulness that baffled Lucy.
"Alright, try to kick me."
She raised her eyebrow before she put effort in her kick. Natsu obviously blocked it with one hand. "Nice kick, but not good enough. Harder!" he demanded. And soft Natsu was gone.
She tried again and again but Natsu wasn't having it. "You can't expect to defeat an opponent with such a worthless kick."
"I remember one time I kicked you effortlessly out of my house." Lucy grunted.
"Again. Be mad."
Lucy laughed. "How?"
"You're weak for a celestial spirit, you could never compare to your mother or grandmother. You're ugly and your magic obviously suck," Natsu taunted.
This time Lucy kicked so hard that she managed to push him back a few steps. His feet were pushed into the ground. He smirked. "Now that's the kick I want. Now punch me."
After hours of Natsu explaining tactics and stances Lucy was tired. "Five minutes break?"
"No," Natsu said sternly. He gestured for her to stand again and took a fighting position. "You're going to attack me."
"Wasn't I doing that the whole damn time?" Lucy asked with a scowl.
"With my help yeah. Call your spirits, attack me, try if you can win."
Lucy grapped her whip in a swift movement and swung it to Natsu. He flipped backwards with a cocky smirk on his face. Lucy shot him an eye roll. "Come," she said.
Natsu ignited his fist on fire, a menacingly look on his face. He jumped high toward Lucy. "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist." She dodged it in the last second. She rolled to the side.
When Natsu touched the ground he held himself up with his hands and swung his legs towards Lucy. She was too slow and he managed to kick her. She flew back and hissed. "No holding back?"
Natsu snorted. "Oh please, I'm holding back, wouldn't want to hurt princess."
Lucy wiped the grass from her cheek and grabbed a key. She called Aquarius in a pub.
"What did I tell you—" Aquarius began with a glare.
"About calling you in a pub? Yeah yeah, I know," Lucy cut her off, focused on Natsu. She wouldn't admit it, but she was scared. Natsu had an intimidating aura if being focused on a fight.
Natsu smirked. "Calling a water spirit to go against my fire? I don't know if you're being smart or stupid. I can burn water, you know?"
Lucy fought the urge to roll her eyes. You evaporate water but okay. "Try it," she challenged and changed into her Sagittariuss's star dress. She aimed the arrows at Natsu.
He dodged most of it and blocked some with his fire. Aquarius attacked him with a high stream of water. Lucy changed into another star dress and attacked him with a whip. She managed to touch him. He was thrown into the trees.
Aquarius growled and turned to Lucy. "Don't bother me again, I have—"
"A date with Scorpio? I know," Lucy said, brushing her off. Aquarius twitched her eyebrows. "You brat—"
Before she could say something Natsu returned from above and punched Aquarius fair and square in the jaw. She fell to the ground. Natsu took his chance and attacked her with his magic.
Lucy swung her whip once again and captured Natsu's arm. "I'm your opponent," she said. Aquarius closed her gate in the meanwhile.
Lucy drew the whip to her, letting Natsu fly to her while he was trying to take the whip off him. She was ready to kick him when he was in reaching distant. Natsu tugged on the whip and grabbed her foot. "Try harder than that, Luce." Lucy swung her fist to his jaw. Natsu purposely let her.
Without noticing Natsu stole Lucy's keys and jumped away from him. Lucy glared at Natsu, reaching for her keys. Her eyes went wide when she saw them in Natsu's hand. "What are you going to do now?" he mocked.
"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Oh man, Natsu wasn't holding back with this attack.
Lucy's eyes widened again as she saw the attack coming to her. The diameter was too big to dodge. She put her arms protectively in front of her. She concentrated all her defensive magic on her arms. She was surprised she could deflect a part of the attack. But the rest she was hit with it.
"Ow."
She could see the scratches once the attack died down. Too busy to recover, she didn't see Natsu jumping on her. He pounched on her, making her fall to the ground and held her down with his hands and sat on her torso.
"I won," he said with a triumph smirk. He leaned closer into her face, waiting for a reaction. Lucy groaned and tried pushing Natsu away. She unconsciously brushed her knee against Natsu's... jewel.
His face was surprised and a few seconds later Lucy seemed to realize what happened. The best part yet, their faces were so close that if someone would lean in, they'd kiss. Lucy's eyes went to Natsu's lips, then back to his eyes, admiring the intensivity.
Natsu bit his lip and look straight into her eyes, as if trying to read her. Both wanted to lean it but also not. Lucy closed her eyes for a second. "Uhm..."
Both their faces went red and Natsu pushed himself off of her. Lucy rolled over and covered her face, embarassed.
"Oh God, are you always so gullible with your opponent?"
Lucy blinked, recalling what happened. "Was this... just a test."
Natsu didn't dare to look in her eyes, or in her direction for that matter.
"Of course."
Well ouch. Lucy tried her best to not show how that hurt.
He sighed loudly. "Enough for today." He threw Lucy her keys and turned around. With that he walked away, making Lucy wonder about everything.
She stamped her feet on the ground, angry. "Of course this was a stupid damn test. Of course he didn't fucking mean anything with it. I just fell for his stupid trip because of those damn little butterflies."
She shook her head and sat again on the grass.
Fuck you, Natsu.
