Disclaimer: Her Only Chance, is strictly a book of fiction and has been written from ideas that I had come up with in my head. None of the following events are true or based on any real occurring events.

Synopsis:

Where trust is the thing you cannot rely on, who can you trust?

Where nations are now out of control with the sudden rise of population and the demand of essential items and access to shelter, the government needed to take back control of society. Hooligans began riots destroying what was in their path and orphanages and foster homes were burnt to crisps as they had no relevance to society. Hooligans marched the streets with torches and signs for equality as the essential items were directed to the rich than poor.

The Earth began dying.

It took a long time for the governments to pick themselves up along with the world as they had failed at first with keeping the peace among everyone. So all the major powers of the world joined together and after a long ten decades of suffering, came to a conclusion; Resdue. Which was basically an acronym of saying 'death test'.

The government's took inspiration from the hooligans who were fools to further doom this world and decided to make an example of them. Why allow the people of Earth to suffer if half were incapable of completing or achieving anything?

So they made Resdue: Remonstrance, Examination, Shibboleth, Determination, Undertake, Elimination. This meant; a forcefully reproachable protest to examine someone from a particular group to find if they belong in society through determining people to undertake a test of elimination.

Two students from each individual high school in either grade eleven or twelve would be chosen by the principle and teaching committee to be sent to the Resdue Test. This test works different from expected. The two students from the same high school would be partners in the following tests of trauma and challenges pushing everyone to their limits. You were supposed to rely on your partner and was forced to as if one partner were to die, you would join them in death.

Some schools would try be smart about the Resdue Test and pick out either their most incapable students to compete, so they wouldn't have to worry about losing people valuable, or they would send their two best students in, in hopes they can be the one thousand from one hundred thousand to come out.

But when Bryce Henson is chosen from her school to compete in the Resdue, she can only hope to survive the first test with a partner she least expected.

Authors Note:

Her Only Chance, is a book that had begun being published 'today' 02/12/2018. I do know that this book may seem similar to other books that you may have read, but it is so much more different and unique then you would think, especially further on.

If you don't like it, then please refrain from having to comment about it constantly and just leave the book silently. But I do hope you do enjoy it.

Inspiration:

I've had inspiration from many books I have read, as well as thoughts I had randomly conjured up. Some books that had helped inspire my story have been The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Legend (series), Divergent, and many others.

I like to believe that this book is a mixture of a lot of similar dystopian based books (let's face it, all dystopian books you read are very similar, yet unique in their own ways) and my book can be identified as maybe similar to others, but again, unique with its own aspects and events that occur.

I do realise that the beginning sounds a bit like some other stories that you most likely have read, but after the first four chapters, like all books, it will begin to become more original than what you wood have originally thought.
