Deciding to change my dress code was a spur of the moment kind of decision. I expected shocked faces staring at me, snide comments thrown my way and worse.
What I didn't expect though was the look which more than half the girls in my class gave mr tall jerk.

I mean sure he was drop dead gorgeous but it wasn't enough reason to ignore me and act like sex deprived bitches.

Thanks to him though I wasn't given detention. Believe me when I say that detention in Crystal high was a mental, physical and emotional torture. It's something even I won't wish for my enemies. And do I have tons of that? Yeah.

Lucy was the only one among my friends in the class when I walked in. Despite being distracted by mr tall jerk who turned out to be Rick Miles, she still noticed my outfit and didn't disappoint. She was shocked and furious.

"What the hell Ella! What are you wearing?", she hissed dragging me down on a seat beside her.

I ignored her deciding instead to focus on Rick who left the few desk around just to sit behind me. Why did it make me feel self conscious?

Lucy wouldn't have any of that. She scribbled down a few words and tossed it my way. Actually a few letters cause when I glanced down at it,all I saw was explain!

I didn't bother lying cause she is my best friend. So instead I took a deep breath and wrote.

David is out of the picture so why bother?   
Fuck him fuck this.

My anger bubbled to the surface as I recalled the night of the party. So much for having a crush. I was about to hand over the piece of paper to Lucy when it got snatched away from me.

"David is out of the picture so why bother? Fuck him, fuck this",he read out loud for all to hear."I'm I boring you miss Jackson?",he asked staring at me then Lucy.

Even before he said it we all knew what was coming. "Two hours detention", I whispered just as he said it out loud, heading back to the front of the class to continue his boring teaching.

Lucy grimaced and shook her head. Two hours detention for the both of us. Well at least I wasn't going to be alone.
