Chapter 6 - Antonia
~Jordan's POV~
I completely ignored Adrian the following morning, apart from when I told him I wanted to go straight home and that I didn't want to go anywhere else on our 'honeymoon' with him, since he was planning to go to Bangkok. We checked out of the hotel in Koh Samui and drove to the airport in a tense silence.
I got on the plane whilst Adrian went to speak to the pilot, he then got on the plane with me and once again sat as far away from me as possible. I decided to take a nap since this was going to be a long flight back to Italy and I was already bored. Adrian's jet had small tv's to watch movies and stuff but I couldn't be bothered. I was too annoyed to do that.
The argument last night left us both annoyed for the rest of the night and in the morning. I don't really understand why Adrian was annoyed, it's not like his point was even valid. He could still worry about me and be nice at the same time, and he wouldn't have to worry about me if he didn't put me in this situation in the first place. It's all his fault.
The pilots announcement that we were about to land woke me up from my nap. I frowned in confusion when I checked the time to see it had only been an hour since we left the island. Once I realised what was going on, it was too late and the pilot was flying over the city of Bangkok towards the airport. To say was I was furious would be an understatement. I was absolutely livid.
"Adrian." He glanced over at me from the drivers seat of the Mercedes Benz he had rented, before looking back at the road. "Jordan my ears are still a little funny from the flight, let's talk when we get to the hotel." I frowned but didn't say anything else. My ears were fine, and it was only a domestic flight there was no way his ears would be affected from the height. He just didn't want to talk to me.
Adrian pulled up to a huge hotel and straight away our doors were opened for us. I picked up my handbag and smiled at the man who opened my door for me. "Welcome to Bangkok." I said thank you as I passed him and followed Adrian inside to check in.
We made it up to our room just as the sun was coming up. We went inside the huge suite and my eyes widened at the luxuriousness. "Do you like it?" I nodded at Adrian as he directed someone to put our bags in the bedroom. "It's amazing."
I sat on the couch and sighed closing my eyes deciding to tell Adrian something which had been on my mind since we got off the plane. "I hate you Adrian, I hope you know that."
Even though I was being serious I heard him chuckle from somewhere and mumble something but I couldn't make out what he said.
"I'm going to the gym then we'll go and get some breakfast." I nodded whilst keeping my eyes closed. Adrian went into the bedroom to change and I decided to look around the living room at all the different things. There was an Apple Tv, a fancy music system and a mini bar. I was looking through the price list at the mini bar when Adrian came out the bedroom dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt, his muscles clearly on show.
"Are you hungry already?" I shook my head and looked over at him. "I was just looking at the food, it's pretty expensive though." He frowned and came over to me, he picked up the price list and rolled his eyes after a moment before throwing it down.
"That's freaking ridiculous." I laughed at his reaction. "Don't touch anything Jordan. It's a rip off." He shook his once again before walking to the door. "I'll be back in 40 minutes then I'll take a shower and we can go." I nodded and he left the room, leaving me on my own.
I decided to take a shower and get ready for the rest of the day. I was sitting at the dressing table blow drying my hair when Adrian came back. He took a little longer than he said he would but I think that had something to do with his phone since he was glaring at it when he walked in.
I was waiting for my curler to heat up so I took the chance to admire his body, he was glistening with sweat and his muscles were a little more prominent from being worked out. My eyes travelled over his toned chest and down his stomach where a faint outline of his abs was visible. "Having fun Jordan?" I jumped at the sound of his voice, he didn't look up at me but he was smirking. I turned back towards the mirror and started curling the ends of my hair.
"Go and take a shower, you stink." He chuckled and made his way over to me as I put my curler down to avoid any accidents. He stood behind me and looked at me in the mirror, he leaned down so that his face was next to my ear. "But you smell so good." I bit my lip to control myself, I may hate him right now but I can't deny the effects he has on my body. He met my eyes in the mirror and smirked before kissing my cheek causing a blush to instantly rise on my face. He chuckled at this and stood up. "You're cute."

Adrian and I spent the whole day shopping and walking around the main parts of Bangkok, it was honestly one of the most amazing places I've ever been to. It was very busy everywhere we went but that added to the buzzing atmosphere. We didn't mention the argument that happened last night so thankfully we hadn't argued about it yet. See this is our relationship, we argue about our arguments.
Whilst we walked through the shopping mall, Adrian had insisted that I buy something from almost every shop that I looked at, but I refused every time. I didn't want to spend my money on silly things and I definitely didn't want him to pay for me. I think he was getting frustrated with the fact that I wasn't buying anything which I didn't quite understand but I didn't question it, I was having a peaceful time without having to deal with his short temper.
We were in the elevator on the way back up to our room to get ready for dinner tonight when Adrian told me what the plans were. "We're meeting someone for dinner." I rose an eyebrow at this. "Who?" He shook his head and stepped out the elevator. "Just someone, so make sure you look good this time." He glanced down at my clothes and I scoffed at his comment. "You can go on your own Adrian." I walked past him making sure to hit him with my shoulder. My clothes weren't even that bad, he just has something against the way I dress because it's not posh.
I walked into our suite and went straight to the bedroom, I slipped off my shoes and dropped my handbag on the floor just as Adrian came into the room.
"You're coming with me. Don't argue with me Jordan I swear I'm not in the mood to deal with it." I turned around to glare at him. "Clearly this was never a freaking honeymoon Adrian, you just came here for your pathetic Mafia!" He glared at me but stayed rooted to his spot by the door. "Shut the hell up and get ready, you've got no choice. I'm not leaving you here alone."
I knew better than to argue with Adrian, if I pushed him any further he would flip and I didn't need any more bruises on my body from him. He left the room to let me get ready and I changed into something more appropriate for the evening, and knowing we were meeting someone Adrian knows it meant I had to dress up even more than I wanted to.
Eventually I decided on wearing a nude satin dress. I quickly refreshed some of the curls in my hair and touched up my make up whilst Adrian got ready. I went into the living room where Adrian was sitting in his suit ready to go. He looked amazing in his suit but I wasn't ever going to tell him that. His ego was big enough.
He gave me a once over before heading out the door without even so much as a nod. At that moment all I wanted to do was cry. No matter what I wore he was never going to be satisfied with how I looked, I would never be anything like his sisters or probably his exes too. Ever since I met him I've been second guessing my appearance, before I met him I never cared what anyone thought about how I dressed and now all I do is worry if I actually look nice or not. When you get married you expect your husband to tell you that you look beautiful and to make you feel special.
He did exactly that when we weren't thinking about the mafia, but as soon as he's back to reality he's a different person.
I took a deep breath before following him to the elevators, he was busy texting on his phone as we rode down stairs. We went out to his car which was already waiting for us when we got there.
Half an hour later we pulled up to a fancy restaurant, someone opened my door for me when the car stopped, I got out and Adrian was quickly by my side. He spoke to one of the waiters and they showed us to a private room where a table for six was set. There was already one person sitting at the table when we got there and he gave me a cold glare.
"What the hell is he doing here Adrian?" I glanced between the two brothers as Matteo stood up next to Adrian. "Just keep your mouth shut, don't speak at all, understand?" I glared at Matteo before turning to Adrian who nodded in agreement.
"You're unbelievable." He didn't even look remorseful knowing he had just brought me to a dinner with two mafia members and probably more to come.
"I swear to God Adrian-" Before I could continue the door to our room opened and Adrian pulled me closer to him, his hand gripping my wrist tightly. "Shut up. Now."
He gave me one last glare before turning to the people that had entered the room.
My eyes travelled to three seemingly Japanese men who all gave off a dangerous aura, not as bad as Adrian's but still, you know not to screw with them.
"Adrian." Adrian nodded at the man who spoke, I'm assuming he was the leader. "Kaito."
"You're a hard Italian to contact." I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle when Kaito referred to Adrian as 'Italian' which is something I like to do. All eyes were instantly on me, Adrian and Matteo were glaring daggers at me whilst the other three men looked at me questioningly. "Something funny?"
I shook my head and stepped a little closer to Adrian realising they had absolutely no sense of humour.
"Look at me, don't look at her." Adrian glared at Kaito who looked between the two of us and smirked before taking a seat at the table, his two men did the same. "So she's yours then? Clearly someone special if you're so protective of her." Adrian pulled out my chair gesturing for me to sit down before he and Matteo did the same, he purposely ignored Kaito's comment.
"Ignore her, she's just his bitch." I looked over at Matteo who was already glaring at me. "What the hell is your problem? Was trying to kill me and embarrassing me at my own wedding not enough for you?" Matteo opened his mouth to respond but Adrian beat him to it. "That's enough." His voice held so much authority and seriousness there was no way I was going to carry on talking. I looked back at Kaito who was leaning back in his chair watching us in amusement.
"Baby if you want someone to treat you properly, all you have to do is tell me." Kaito gave me a small smirk whilst eyeing me. He wasn't as good looking as Adrian but he was still handsome. I felt Adrian tense up next to me and I saw his hand clench into a fist on the table. "I'm fine, thank you. I'm married." Kaito nodded with a smug smile on his face. "To him?" He nodded over at Adrian questioningly.
"Yep." I responded to him, popping the 'p'. He chuckled quietly and nodded, I glanced at Adrian questioningly, wondering why he wasn't saying anything, he had gone unusually quiet since Kaito walked in.
The waiter came into our room interrupting the tense conversation. We gave our orders after quickly scanning the menu. After he left Adrian took over the conversation and began discussing business with Kaito, I didn't understand whatever he was going on about so I just zoned out.
The food came and I ate quietly whilst Adrian and Kaito spoke with Matteo occasionally dropping in a few comments. The dinner dragged on and eventually we were almost done but Kaito's attention turned back to me once again.
"So baby, you want to come back with me?" I frowned and shook my head, looking at Kaito in disgust. "Are you sure?" I nodded in response. "I'm not a cheater." He shifted his eyes to Adrian and gave him a mocking smile, Adrian was furious but once again he stayed quiet. "It's a shame your husband isn't as faithful as you are."
I frowned as I looked at the two who were staring each other in the eye as if they were having a silent conversation.
"What?" Seconds later Kaito broke his stare with Adrian and turned to me. "Ask him who Antonia is baby." Kaito leaned back in his seat, picking up his glass and he sipped his drink with a smug grin on his face. I turned to Adrian who looked like he was ready to kill someone.
"Jordan be quiet." My eyes flashed to Matteo who gave me a warning look. "Someone tell me what I'm missing here." At this Kaito eagerly sat up. "Allow me. Your husband and Antonia-"
Before Kaito could continue Adrian stood up and pulled a gun out of his suit jacket, pointing it directly at Kaito, almost simultaneously Kaito's men pulled out their guns and aimed them at Adrian. I sat there in shock as I watched the two glare daggers at each other.
"Sorry, it seems I've hit a sensitive spot." Kaito smiled, clearly enjoying the whole situation. He stood up after telling his men to drop their guns. "It was nice seeing you Adrian. I hope I haven't caused any issues between the two of you, that wasn't my intention." Kaito gave Adrian a sarcastic smile before turning to me. He took my hand and kissed it, keeping a tight grip on it. "Come back here if you decide you want someone who will treat you like you deserve to be treated my beautiful."
His eyes held sincerity but I just pulled my hand out of his grip causing him to chuckle. He left the room with his men leaving Adrian, Matteo and I alone.
"I'm going back to the hotel." I left the restaurant before either of the brothers could speak, I just needed to get out of there and be alone for a while. I sat in the cab on the way back to our hotel thinking over what happened at the restaurant. Adrian probably stayed quiet through out the whole conversation hoping I wouldn't find out about Antonia. I have a good idea about who she could possibly be and trust me, it doesn't make me feel good.
I made my way up to our suite, taking off my make up and my dress, I put on some leggings and a tank top before going to brush my teeth. I had just got into bed when I heard Adrian come inside our room. He came into the bedroom but I refused to look at him. "Jordan I need to talk to you." I shook my head and reached over turning off the lamp.
I heard him sigh and come over to my side of the bed, he switched the lamp back on causing me to glare at him. "Please listen to me." I sat up and leaned against the headboard with a permanent glare on my face, I pulled my knees to my chest whilst waiting for him to speak.
"Hurry up then." He sat on the bed infront of me and sighed. "Antonia is my ex." I looked away from Adrian as he spoke, part of me didn't want to hear anymore. "We were together for four years before I found out she had been cheating on me, with Kaito. She's been on and off with him since I found out and ended it with her."
Adrian went quiet and let out a deep sigh before he spoke again.
"I slept with her a week before the wedding." I felt a sharp pain in my heart when he said this. We sat in silence, his last words lingering in the air as a few tears made their way down my face but I didn't wipe them away. "What day?" Adrian didn't answer my question and I shook my head at him in disgust. "It was the day you hit me with your gun wasn't it?"
His jaw clenched but he didn't speak to me, he kept his eyes on the floor, refusing to look at me which confirmed my thoughts.
"That's why you didn't speak up. You didn't want me to find out..." I spoke my thoughts out loud as all the pieces began to fall into place.
"I don't know why I did it. She just turned up out of no where with the mission of having sex with me, and I gave in. I shouldn't have but I did." I stayed silent, digesting the information.
"Why did you marry me Adrian? You had sex with your ex a week before our wedding and yet you still forced me to marry you. Then you took my virginity even though I warned you I would never forgive you if you went back to being a jerk- which you did. Then you..I don't know what you planned to do when I slapped you, but I know it wasn't nice."
He looked at me with a hint of guilt in his eyes as a few more tears fell from mine. "Why would you want to hurt me this much Adrian?" He moved closer to me but I pushed him away from me. "I'm sorry Jordan." I shook my head at him. I spoke with so much anger and disgust there was no way he could think I was joking when I said my next sentence.
"I hate you Adrian."
<<<<<<< >>>>>>> <<<<<<<
I completely ignored Adrian the whole way back to Milan, from the moment I told him I hated him to the moment we walked through the front door I was silent.
What Adrian did wouldn't have hurt me so much if he hadn't slept with me. I would have been angry for sure but I wouldn't have given him my virginity and trust, but I did and he abused that which meant he hurt me a lot more.
I had decided to make some dinner since neither of us had eaten since the meal we had at the restaurant in Bangkok. I was busy cooking when Adrian came into the kitchen immediately bringing with him a tense atmosphere.
"You need to speak to me Jordan." I shook my head and kept my eyes on the food in front of me.
"I want a divorce Adrian. I'm not staying here with you any longer."
I walked past him to get some plates when Adrian grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him, I struggled in his hold trying to push him away but he just held me even firmer against him. He leaned down and whispered angrily in my ear. "You're not getting a divorce tesoro, get that idea out of your head." I glared at him looking him directly in the eye.
"Screw you Adrian." I pulled my hand out of his grip and placed my hands on his chest pushing him away from me roughly. I knew I was pissing him off and he would have probably taken me over his knee at the way I've been acting towards him since last night, but he was trying to control himself so that he didn't give me any more reason to hate him.
I grabbed the plates and threw them down on the counter causing them to clatter, they didn't break though, not that I would have cared much. "I'm going out to eat, don't make me anything." I stopped what I was doing feeling more anger surge through me. I turned to face Adrian who was once again looking at his phone, pissing me off just that little bit more.
For a second all I saw was red as I picked up one of the plates and launched it in his direction. It didn't hit him but it smashed against the wall near him. He jumped slightly at the sound of the plate shattering, his eyes met mine and they were full of rage but I didn't care. "You could have told me before I made all this food." He shook his head in disbelief and walked towards the door.
"Clean that up and calm the hell down, get yourself under control by the time I'm back." He gave me one last glare before walking out the kitchen, then the front door slammed seconds later.
As soon as he left I sank to my knees on the floor, tears rolling down my face. I couldn't hold back the sobs; the hurt and anger and regret were too much for me to deal with alone. I hated myself for falling for Adrian so quickly, for being so naive and trusting that he was a nice person deep down, for giving him my virginity which I had kept for someone who I would eventually fall in love with. Not that it makes a difference now, I'll probably never get away from this life that I found myself in just for being in a damn coffee shop at the wrong time.
I was so foolish to let my guard down around him, for giving in so quickly. He's gotten everything he wanted from me, leaving me in a broken mess.
