Chapter 4 - Mrs De Mancuso
Jordan's wedding dress ^
~ Jordan's POV ~
I sighed in frustration as I stared at myself in the mirror. "You look beautiful Jordan." I shook my head and walked over to the couch. "I don't. It's all wrong." Adrian's mom, Paola, smiled at me and took a seat next to me. "It's perfect, trust me, my son is one lucky man." I gave her a small smile but looked away from her when the door to my room opened. We were currently at the hotel in Milan where I was getting married in two hours.
I saw a girl with long blonde hair come inside with a wide smile followed by a slightly older, moody brunette. "Ah Jordan, I don't believe you've met Adrian's sisters yet. This is Mia, my youngest." I stood up as the happy blonde came over to me wrapping her arms around me. "Its so nice to meet you! Jordan you're so beautiful." I smiled at her as she moved away and I mumbled a thank you. "This is Carlotta my oldest." My eyes moved to the brunette who made sure to keep her distance from me. "Hi, it's nice to meet you." She didn't respond to me, instead she just sent me a glare.
"Ignore her Jordan. Let's get started on your hair and make up, we don't have much time left." I glanced worriedly at Mia as she started pulling out random products from her bag which she brought in with her. Both of the girls were already ready, and they both looked absolutely stunning. You could instantly tell they were related to Adrian, he was just as good looking.
An hour later Mia had just finished my make up, I looked at myself in the mirror and gave her a smile. "I love it." She didn't over do it, she did just more than I would usually wear to a party or special occasion. It was light and neutral which was perfect. "I'll get started on your hair now."
Eventually Mia finished styling my hair, some of it was pinned up and other parts were in long loose curls. In the corner of the mirror I saw Paola talking to Carlotta with a frown on her face. They seemed to be having a heated conversation in Italian. Adrian had someone start teaching me Italian but it's only been a week so there's no way I could understand them yet. A couple of minutes later Carlotta stormed out of the room, just as two other people came in.
"Jordan?" I turned towards the person who spoke and my eyes widened, I stared in shock at my sister who was staring back at me. Tears filled her eyes as she watched me stand up. "Grace? You came.." She frowned and nodded as she came towards me, followed by Riley. "Of course we came, we wouldn't miss it for the world."
"Jordan don't cry!" I jumped at the volume of Mia's voice. "Stop it!" I laughed a little as she stared at my eyes making sure there were no tears. "I'm trying, calm down." She sighed and sat down. "I'll kill you if you cry." For some reason I didn't feel like she was joking.
"Mom said you guys probably wouldn't come." Riley frowned at my statement "Mom knew?"
"Of course she knew, how else did you two find out? I told her last week." Grace gave me a teasing smile. "Your Italian fiancé called me." My eyes widened as I stared at her, I did not expect him to do
that for me. "Adrian called you?" She nodded and Riley rolled his eyes. "What? You don't like him Riley?" He sighed and glanced over at Adrian's mom and sister who were smiling waiting for his response, they didn't seem angry just amused. "I don't know, I don't get why you just left with him randomly like that. But if you're happy Jordan then I don't care. I just want you to be happy." His eyes became red as he stared at me before pulling me in for a hug. "You look so beautiful."
I had to blink away the tears that were threatening to come out and ruin my make up and probably have me killed by Mia, who was watching my face like a hawk. "Riley will you walk me down the aisle?"
He nodded with a smile on his face. "Why do you think I came? That's one of the main reasons Adrian wanted us to come." I couldn't help but smile when Riley told me this, I didn't think Adrian actually paid any attention to what I was saying about the wedding but he did.
"I'm your maid of honour." I looked at Grace who had interrupted my conversation with Riley and was glaring at me, I nodded quickly so that she didn't get angry. "Of course you are." She smiled and nodded. "Good."
"How come dad didn't come?" They both went silent when I asked this. "We'll just give you some time alone Jordan. We'll be back in ten minutes to go downstairs to the hall." I nodded at Paola as the two of them left the room.
"Well?" Riley sighed and made his way over to the couch and motioned for the two of us to follow. I had sit on the opposite couch since I couldn't risk my dressing getting creased and because it took up a lot of space. "He's really not happy Jordan. He's so angry with you. He doesn't even want anyone mentioning your name anymore." I sighed as I listened to Grace telling me about my dad, he never used to be the type to be angry for a long time, he usually got over things pretty quickly.
"I know how I left was a bit of a shock but I'm 22, I wasn't going to be staying at home for much longer anyway." Maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration but I was annoyed at the way my father was acting. There was no need for it, I was old enough to leave home if I wanted to.
"How long are you staying?" I wanted to spend a bit more time with them after the wedding since I knew I wouldn't be seeing them for a long time after. "We're leaving tomorrow Jordan."
"You guys should come and visit me sometimes." Grace smiled and nodded although I could tell she was upset. "It's not the same without you at home Jords." I gave Riley a sad smile, if I wasn't about to get married in ten minutes I probably would have said a lot more to them, but I didn't want to cry.
"How's Italy?" I sighed and looked around the luxury Italian style hotel room as I spoke to them. "It's alright. Adrian works a lot so we hardly see each other, but I'm sure after the wedding it'll be different."
It probably wouldn't be knowing Adrian but I told them that anyway. I didn't want to tell them what Adrian does as his 'job', firstly because Adrian would probably kill me and them too and also because I didn't want them to think I was in any danger. I feel a lot safer around Adrian than anyone else, which is kind of weird since he is the boss, but I do.
"Grace! How was your date?" I had completely forgotten to ask her about that. She started smiling as a blush made its way onto her face. "Our little Grace isn't a single pringle anymore Jordan."
I looked at Riley before looking at Grace for confirmation. My mouth fell open when she nodded and I stared at her before squealing like a teenage girl. "Grace I'm so happy for you! How did he ask you? How was the sex afterwards?" All of a sudden Riley started coughing causing Grace to pat him on the back. "That's disgusting Jordan."
I laughed at this but looked at Grace for an answer anyway. She gave me a smirk. "It was amazing. He asked me while we were walking in the park in the evening, it was just the two of us and it was so cute."
I smiled at Grace as she gushed about her new boyfriend while Riley just sat there with a disgusted look on his face, probably scarred for life from the use of his sisters name and sex in the same sentence.
Before we could say anything else Paola and Mia came back in the room, both of them looking stressed. "What's wrong?" They both stayed quiet as they rushed over to me. "Everything's fine, you just need to get your ass down to that hall. We're slightly behind schedule."
Mia grabbed my hand and pulled me off the couch. "But I'm not ready yet." She sighed and looked me over one time. "You look beautiful. Now hurry up and go and marry my brother." I frowned at her and turned to Grace.
"Do I really look okay?" My sister smiled at me as tears once again formed in her eyes. "Jordan, you look absolutely perfect, I can't believe my beautiful little sister is getting married."
Mia decided to interrupt the emotional moment Grace and I were having by hitting my sister on the arm. "Don't you dare make her cry, we've got this far, don't ruin it." Grace and Mia glared at each other before I interrupted them. "Grace will you look after my phone please?"
She sent Mia one last glare before nodding in my direction and taking my phone from my hand. Riley and Grace walked towards the door followed by Mia and Paola.
"Let's go." I took one last look in the mirror and picked up my bouquet of flowers before walking to the door.
"Don't let me trip over Riley." I gripped my brothers arm with all my strength to stop myself from shaking. I was nervous wreck, and to make matters worse, Riley and Grace were constantly bickering all the way down to the hall where Adrian and all the guests were.
"Grace, you're up in 3,2,1." The doors opened and the coordinator who we hired to keep everything running smoothly nodded at Grace to walk in first. She made her way down the aisle, I chose to watch her instead of looking at anyone else in the room. "Okay Jordan, go."
"You'll be okay Jords I promise." Riley whispered to me reassuringly and I nodded as I started walking with Riley by my side, something I was so grateful for. I wouldn't have been able to walk in on my own. We walked past all the guests, all eyes on us, I finally let myself look at Adrian who was standing next to Matteo, my eyes locked with his and he held my stare. Neither of us looked away as I walked closer and closer towards the handsome Italian who was soon to be my husband.
"I love you." I broke the stare to look at a red eyed Riley. I gave him a nervous smile and reached out to give him a hug after passing my flowers to Mia who was sitting on the front row. I felt another person wrap their arms around me and knew it was Grace, we stood together for a moment hugging like we used to do whenever one of us was sad. I knew the two of them were crying and I used all my strength to stop myself from going too. I finally pulled out of their tight hold and gave them a smile.
"I'm only getting married, I'm not dying." I thought I whispered quietly to them but clearly not because I heard a few chuckles come from the guests.
I stepped towards Adrian and stood infront of him as he took my hands. The ceremony took a while, we both repeated after the priest and finally we both said 'I do', although I did take a moment to say it since I was still unsure about this whole thing.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." My eyes widened a little as Adrian leaned closer to me, I completely forgot we would have to kiss. I held my breath as he got closer and closer to me, my eyes closed as I waited for the contact and soon I felt his warm lips make contact with the corner of my mouth. The guests applauded and cheered, meaning they didn't notice that Adrian didn't actually kiss me.
He took my hand which was still shaking slightly in his warm one and we made our way out of the hall together.

We walked into the reception hall and my eyes widened at the decor. I know I chose most of it but I definitely didn't think it would look this good. Adrian and I walked past all the guests who were already seated and once again clapped as we entered.
We took our seats at the front, just as Matteo stood up to make a speech, he did it in English so I understood what he said.
"I'm going to keep this short because Adrian knows how it is. Ever since I was born Adrian has been there for me, throughout our childhood and now adulthood. Whenever I've needed him, even if I knew it or not, he was there. He's the best older brother that anyone could ask for, and I want to thank him for that. I hope you're happy in your marriage Adrian and if you ever need me I'll be here for you, although I'm sure Jordan will be too, in other ways." He smirked at Adrian causing him to chuckle next to me and a few other laughs could be heard, however I just frowned at his comment. "Congratulations bro, I love you."
Adrian stood up to give his brother a hug, whispering somethings to him in Italian quietly. For the next half an hour there were more speeches, some in Italian and some in English. Eventually after dinner most people had began to leave and it was mainly just Adrian's family and close friends left with me, Grace and Riley.
"You don't seem happy." I looked up to see Grace standing next to me. She took the seat next to me where Adrian was sitting before he went over to sit with Angelo and Matteo. He didn't really speak to me all night, apart from I do, he didn't say anything else to me.
"I'm fine Grace. I just...I wish mom and dad were here." I looked down at my hands trying not to spoil my make up. I wanted to get through the day without crying and feeling sorry for myself. "I know. But they're not, it is however your wedding Jordan." I sighed and shook my head as I looked around at all the people dancing and drinking champagne enjoying the evening. "It doesn't feel like it, it feels like one of those weddings where you don't know anyone but you're forced to go anyway."
Grace was silent for a moment before she stood up and held out her hand for me. "Come on, let's dance." I shook my head at her but she just grabbed my hand and pulled me up out of my seat. "Hurry up." I sighed and followed her to the dance floor. "Everyone's staring Grace stop it." She laughed at this and carried on walking. "Let them stare, you're gorgeous that's why."
We got to the edge of the dance floor when I managed to yank my hand out of Grace's grip. "Grace you're so annoying. Go and dance with someone else." She smirked at me and nodded her head causing me to frown, she turned away just as someone tapped my shoulder. I sighed in frustration and turned around to see Adrian.
"Give me your hand." My frown increased but I gave him my hand anyway. As soon as I did I regretted it when he pulled me onto the dance floor. "Adrian stop it I don't want to dance." He gave me a smirk and pulled me closer, wrapping his arms around my waist, knowing everyone had stopped their conversations to watch us dance.
"You're shy, it's cute." I shook my head whilst placing my hands on his shoulders and I hid my face in his chest. Adrian leaned down and whispered in my ear. "You look absolutely beautiful by the way...Mrs De Mancuso." I felt a shiver run down my spine at the sound of Adrian's deep husky voice.
"Stop it Adrian." I felt his chest vibrate as he laughed. "Fine." We danced for a bit longer, Adrian did a few fancy moves causing me to glare at him every time. I hate dancing, and the dress I was wearing was just making matters worse. Eventually more and more left and the hall became mostly empty.
I left Grace and Riley who were still busy drinking champagne like they'd never had it before and made my way over to Adrian who was once again sitting with Matteo and Angelo who both seemed to be slightly drunk.
"Adrian let's go I'm tired." Adrian nodded and Matteo let out a drunken laugh. "Jordan can't wait to get home, can you? The little puttana.." (whore)
He glared at me as he took another sip of his drink, both Angelo and Adrian chuckled at his comment. I frowned knowing exactly what he just said to me.
"Screw you." He just laughed whilst drinking from his glass.
I finally let myself cry when I had to say goodbye to Grace and Riley knowing I wouldn't see them for a long time. For this reason I was grateful I didn't have to say goodbye to them in London because I know I would have just ended up telling them the truth and Adrian probably would have killed my whole family. He's a bit temperamental like that.
Adrian and I got into the limo which was going to take us back to his house, Mia said she'll get all my stuff from the hotel room and drop it off to his house tomorrow. We sat in a tense silence, neither one of us saying a word. I was absolutely furious that he laughed at what Matteo said, both times; during his best man speech and just now.
When we got back to the house I got out the limo and went straight upstairs to our bedroom to get out of the stupid wedding dress. I took all my make up off first before unpinning my hair. I attempted to undo the back of my dress with no success at all, so I had to call Adrian. Seconds later he was in the doorway of our bedroom. He had taken off his tie and suit jacket by now.
"Can you help me with my dress please?" He nodded and came
up behind me. One by one I felt
him undo the buttons, his fingers making contact with my skin here and there. He stopped just above the waistline of my panties, I felt his hands running over the skin of my bare back towards my shoulders where he gently slipped my dress off. I let the dress fall slightly and held it just so that it covered my chest, I didn't have any plans to let him see anything tonight. Adrian had other plans though, he stepped closer to me so that he was pressed against me, he gently pried my dress out of my grip causing it to fall to the floor leaving me only wearing my white lace panties, I stepped away from my dress that had pooled around my feet.
He looked at my chest from over my shoulder as his hands went to my waist. "Bellissima" (Beautiful)
I bit my lip as he started kissing my neck whilst pulling me flush against him. "Adrian.." I turned around in his arms to look him in the eye. "Stop." He frowned at me, his grip on my waist tightening ever so slightly. "Why?" I shook my head and placed my hands on his chest. "I don't want you to do this tonight and go back to being cold and distant tomorrow. I won't forgive you for it. Ever." I looked him straight in the eye as I warned him.
Instead of saying anything he just leaned down and placed his lips on mine. His warm lips moved in sync with mine, our kiss became more and more heated as Adrian started walking towards the bed.
