Epilogue
Five Years Later
Lilith Harmony McLean skipped down the flowery meadow. Her glacier blue eyes glistening with happiness and a bright smile on her face. Her father's dark midnight hair flowed down in curls all the way to her waist.
Royal guards stood around the meadow at attention watching for any signs of danger but the little female lycan was clueless to what was going on around her. In her tiny arms, she held a bundle of flowers she had picked to give to her father, mother, and grandfather.
"Mommy!" She shouted at Isabella.
Isabella turned around from her seat on the picnic blanket to look at her daughter who was flying through the meadow with amazing speed.
"She's going to trip and fall," Isabella said to her marked mate and Lilith's father.
"She will be fine," Malcolm replied, picking up a piece of cracker and cheese to eat.
"She can barely see her feet. The flowers are block- "
Her daughter disappeared into the meadow with a 'thunk' and followed by an 'ow'. She lifted a tiny little arm into the air and waved.
"I am fine!" She shouted.
Malcolm chuckled at his daughter's enthusiasm. She shot up from the ground, dirt all over her peach color dress. She bent down and picked up what's left of her flowers before carefully walking towards them.
Isabella sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. It had been five years since they left Malcolm's territory and came here to live with her father. It was still a little hard to take in that she was a princess and next to the Lycan throne. Her father has been nothing but nice to her, Malcolm, and to Lilith.
As a matter of a fact, the King spoils his little grandchild immensely. Lilith's has her own little stable filled with all kinds of horses and donkeys. A room filled with every toy she can imagine.
When the King found out about Lilith's death, he was deeply heartbroken. Isabella knew that a little part of him wanted to the time to ask her mother for forgiveness. He rarely talks about Isabella's mother but when he does it was only good things and his eyes will shine brightly.
Isabella glanced at Malcolm who was eating a cracker and looking at their daughter. He looked extremely relaxed and happy. She picked a small green grape and scooted closer to him, lifting the grape to his lips. He took it without hesitance.
"Do you regret at all coming with me?" She asked.
His gaze moved from his daughter to his marked mate, "No, I don't. You are always my choice. You are my home. Where ever you are, that is the place I will go."
He pulled Isabella into his arms and leaned down to sniff the side of her neck before placing a soft kiss behind her ear.
"I told you I will never let you go."
She felt her heart swell with love and devotion. Her own arms wrapped around his securely as they looked at their daughter.
"I love you." Isabella turned to kiss his cheek.
He grinned and kissed her forehead, "And I love you."
"Have you heard from Damon and Alexine recently?" Isabella asked.
"The last thing I heard from him was that Alexine has learned to overcome her fears. She is a lot stronger now. She's been hard at work with practicing her fighting skills. She's now a solider in his pack." Malcolm answered.
"I'm sure Damon is having a fit right now." Isabella grinned wickedly. She knew Damon well. Damon might fight his feelings for Alexine but living under one roof for five years does not make things easy. In fact, it is damn difficult, especially when Alexine is learning to become independent and blossoming again to the real beauty that she is.
"But you know Alexine has feelings for him." Malcolm pointed out.
"Of course. She thinks he is hot but she's not going to give in easily. She's a female but one who has learned not to submit." Isabella laughed.
Lilith appeared in front of them. She jutted the smashed flowers in front of her towards her parents.
"This is for you two!" She gave them a bright award-winning smile.
"Aww, this is beautiful." Isabella moved to take the flowers from her daughter to put in the vase that they brought along with them.
"C'mere princess." Malcolm grabbed his daughter and started tickling her. She laughed and rolled around the picnic blanket.
"Daddy, stop!" She squealed, clutching at her sides protectively.
"Only if you promise to give the first boy who kisses you a hard punch in the eye." Malcolm ordered.
Isabella rolled her eyes at her marked mate's demands. He was constantly glowering at the little boys who would like to play with their daughter.
"Ewww." Lilith's nose wrinkled.
Malcolm chortled, "That's what I want to hear. Keep it that way."
He stopped his tickling attacks. Lilith moved to sit down and began eating a sandwich. Malcolm took the opportunity to look at the flowers his daughter picked.
He smirked when he saw how broken they all look.
"Do you like it?" Lilith asked, setting down her sandwich to take a sip of her freshly made lemonade.
"I love it. They are absolutely beautiful." Malcolm lied and pinched her nose.
She wrinkled her nose even further and swatted her father's hand away. "I think I am going to pick some for Adam."
"Adam?" Malcolm's eyebrow furrowed immediately. A scowl now apparent on his face. "Who the hell-"
Punch!
"Ow!" Malcolm clutched his arm and glared at Isabella.
"What your language."
"It's okay, mommy. Grandfather says it all the time."
Malcolm grinned, "See, it wasn't me who taught her the word."
"It is still a bad word, Lilith." Isabella tried scolding her daughter.
"Grandfather also says a ton of other swear words. I hear it all the time." She continued.
"Ok, but I don't want to hear any of it out of your mouth. Do you understand, young lady?" Isabella pointed a finger at her daughter.
Lilith nodded before picking up her sandwich to eat some more. Malcolm leaned into Isabella.
"Who the hell is Adam?" Malcolm snarled at the end. "I will end him. Squash him in my palms."
"He's only eight years old," Isabella replied.
Malcolm groaned and covered his face, "Who is he?"
"He's the General's son."
"This is just great. Perfect." Malcolm muttered.
"Can you just relax? She's four."
"Almost five."
"She's a kid!" Isabella slapped Malcolm behind his head with her palm.
"Fine but if he is the first boy to kiss her, I'll make sure she knees him where the sun doesn't shine," Malcolm muttered. He turned to his daughter and plastered on a smile.
"Hey, princess, how about I teach you some defense moves?"
Isabella watched her marked mate carry their daughter off into an open field. Strange how her fate had changed. She thought she will live with Malcolm on his territory but to find herself living in the royal court with her father who is the King along with her mate and child. It was a crazy ending.
