Chapter Twelve: Shadow

I looked myself over in the mirror, making sure I didn't look like a mess. I didn't want to look bad around Amy or have her see me looking bad. I sighed, I'm overthinking this way too much. She might not even like me the way I like her. And since when did I care about how a girl would look at me? I rubbed my face, going into my room and throwing on my red hoodie. I pulled out my phone and looked at the time, seeing that it was around six. I placed my phone back into my pocket. I walked out of my house, closing the door behind me. Rouge called me earlier, explaining to me that the gang were having a small get together to make Tails feel better. This gives me a chance to actually speak to Tails....Okay, Amy has seriously changed me. I have never wanted to apologize for any of the things I've done until I caught feelings for her. I smiled to myself as I mounted my motorcycle. I guess crushes make you want to do crazy things. After a moment. I revved up my bike, speeding down the street to faker and Tails' house...

(Time Skip)

I arrived in a matter of time, parking my bike on the side of the curb. I got off of it and walked up to the door, knocking on it a couple of times. After a moment, Rouge opened the door, smiling at me

"Hey D.K.! You're the last person to arrive." I blinked a couple of times to hide the small amount of embarrassment I felt inside

"My bad." I replied, placing my hands into my hoodie pocket with a shrug. Rouge smirked and let me in, causing me to look around. Yep, everyone was here from what I could see, but I couldn't see Amy or any of the other girls

"Is that Shadow?" I heard a angelic voice say from the kitchen. I looked towards the kitchen and seen Amy poking her head out. She smiled and came over to me, hugging me. I felt myself smile as I hugged her back, feeling her cuddle into my arms. We pulled away, but kept our arms around each other

"Hey beautiful, how are you today?" Why did I say that? Why did I say that? I looked at her face and seen her face blush deeply

"I-I'm fine today. How about yourself, Shadow?" I looked into her eyes and smiled, seeing her smile back at me. I was getting lost in her eyes, the emerald eyes that I started to fall for, that could shine brighter that any chaos emerald that I've ever seen

"Sonic, could you maybe stop growling please?" I shook out of my thoughts to see Knuckles looking at that faker in confusion, and that faker looking directly at Amy and I. I frowned, but then looked back at Amy, smirking a bit and winking at her, causing her face to really glow red. I removed my arms from around her and walked over to where the guys were seated, taking a seat by Silver and us doing our usual handshake

"Come on Pinky, let's get back to the kitchen." Rouge chuckled, pushing Amy back into the kitchen. I smiled to myself mentally, smirking evilly at Sonic

"U-Uh Shadow?" I turned towards the voice that called me, seeing that it was Miles. I needed to speak to him anyways, to...ahem...apologize for what I said. I swear Amy is making me do things that I usually never do

"If it has anything to do with the thing that happened with you and that seedrian girl, then I am sorry for my actions. I stepped into something that was none of my concern and it was extremely out of place." I looked at the faces around me, they were shocked. Hell, I'd be shocked too

"W-Well, thanks for the apology, Shadow. You don't have a reason to apologize though. What you said was proven to be true, so I'm glad you told us." I tilted my head, thinking of something to say that wasn't prideful or cocky

"...You're welcome, Miles." And those same shocked faces kept looking at me

"Woah..."

"I've never heard you apologize, Shadow." I looked over at Knuckles with a smirk, knowing my next words are being said just to mess with faker

"Blame Amy." There's the growl I was trying to hear again! I looked over at him and scoffed

"Now, you can't say anything about her not wanting me here like you did last time." I faked a cough as Silver hit me lightly on the shoulder, silently telling me that I shouldn't try and piss him off right now. I seen him mumble something under his breath, but I ignored him. You know, people who mumble under their breaths are nothing, but people that are scared to get the consequences of saying what they mumbled out loud, but I'll let whatever he mumbled slide

"You know what? So we can end this argument, do you two both like Amy or something?" Knuckles' question threw me off so much that I felt my ears start to heat up and...Jesus, was it getting hot in here?

"I mean...I like her. I don't know what this faker is doing." Sonic chuckled a bit, scratching the back of his head. Who the hell was he calling a faker? I hmph'ed my response

"I like her as well since apparently, it's your business to put yourself into." I murmured, causing Silver to nudge me again. I looked at him in slight confusion, what I said wasn't wrong. I feel like Knuckles was butting into territory that wasn't his 

"I was just asking, Shadow. You don't have to get all defensive like that. If you both like her, then I can see why you two have been acting like this the way recently." Knuckles spoke. I sighed and looked away, ALMOST feeling sorry for the way I had just snapped

"So, what ever happened to Cosmo anyways?" Silver questioned, looking towards Miles. Miles looked down at the phone in his hand and lightly placed it on the coffee table. He then sighed, putting his hands onto his lap. He then took a deep breath

"I don't know and I quite frankly...don't fucking care." I laughed out loud, slowly going into a chuckle

"Tails!" Faker was shocked, so was everyone else. I found this funny though. He needed to let this out. He can't keep his anger pent up this entire time through this break up

"Let him say what he wants. He needs to let loose a bit." I stated, giving a nod towards Miles. He smiled at me and thanked me for at least being on his side. Tonight was gonna be something to say the least...
