"You're lucky I love you."
"I know." Davina tells me with a wide smile on her face. So, here's what happened. We made out some more and then she got a call from her friend, Josh. And now she's dragging me with her to meet him. So, here I am, being dragged by the hand inside the Lycee.
"Hey Davina. Wha- Oh crap." Is the words I heard coming from Josh's mouth as we entered the greenhouse. Looking at him almost felt sorry for the guy. His eyes were wide and he looked like he was about to poop in his pants.
After rolling my eyes, I said: "Calm down, would you? You're quarrel is with my brother, not me." I told him and he visibly relaxed. Davina let go of my hand and and went to give him a hug. I didn't even feel a little jealous, knowing he is just her best friend and he bats for the other team.
Davina went to sit at a nearby table and I looked around the room. This is supposed to be a greenhouse, not a depressing room with dead flowers. Then again, people aren't supposed to be able to bring flowers back to life.
"You know, I've only gotten roses once in my life. Didn't even get to keep them." Josh says suddenly and feeling that this is a personal conversation, I mind my own bussiness and keep looking around.
"Why not?" The brunette beauty asks him.
"My first boyfriend- my only boyfriend, really- gave them to me for Valentine's Day senior year. Tried to hide them in my bedroom, but my parents found them. You may not know it, but roses will jam even the best paper shredders. You know, I don't have a home to go home to, or a family to go home to. I used to hate myself for that, but the thing is, I don't really care what they think anymore. If your family doesn't like you the way you are, screw them! You got me, Lex, and Cami... even Marcel. If you want." He tells her and although, I felt sorry for him, I narrowed my eyes at him as I subtley turned to him wondering if he had an agenda with his words.
Davina sighed before she answered, "Marcel used me." At her true words, I shrugged and I turned back to the rack of herbs.
"He used you to fight the people who were trying to kill you. And, you know, he also saved you from those people. So you don't have to trust the guy, but he does love you." He told her in a warm tone. "And P.S? So do I." This time, I smile at his words.
"Even if I don't have any magic? All the power I had was from the other Harvest girls. I don't even know what I have without it." I frowned at her words and I turned to them.
"Well that's a lie." I say bluntly and both of their heads snapped to me. "You were born with a power inside of you that no one can take from you, love. It's still there, you just have to find it again." I told her honestly, and not just because I'm in love with her. A witches power can only truly be taken away by them.
"What if it isn't?" Davina questions me, a scared look in her eyes.
"Don't you owe it to yourself to find out? You're a witch, Davina. You can't change your DNA any more than I can, so you might as well embrace it." The young vampire answers before I could. He hands her the two dried roses he's been holding and she takes it.
"Belle la vie à cette fleur. Belle la vie à cette fleur. Belle la vie à cette fleur. Belle la vie à cette fleur. Belle la vie à cette fleur. Maintenent." She chants in a whisper.
The flower quickly comes back to life, and she smiles proudly at her accomplishment and so do I.
"That's my girl." I tell her, the pride evident in my tone. She send me a smile and I return it, and once I noticed her flushed cheeks, my smile widened. She hands one of the flowers back to Josh, who takes it and smiles back at her.
Grinning, Josh says, "Aww!"
She turns to me and shyly holds out the rose to me. I feel blood rushing to my cheeks as I take the flower with a smile. I step forward and I cup her face with my hands and I kissed her. It was soft, gentle and loving.
Something I've never experienced before. I'm used to being dominant, harsh and not caring about the person I'm kissing. I just want a night of pleasure and for a thousand years, that's what I got. But with her, I want slow kisses, hand holding. I want to wrap her up in my embrace. I want to go to sleep next to her, I want to wake up next to her. I want her. Forever.
Something has changed in me since I met her. And I don't know what is going to happen next, but I do know that I'll never be the same again and that she'll be by my side. An god helps whoever tries to change that.
"Thank you, love." I whisper to her as we pull apart, looking lovingly into each other's eyes.
"I think I'm going to go now." Josh suddenly says in an akward voice tone and my eyes widen, as does Davina's and we step away from each other.
"No, you don't have to go Josh. It's fine." Davina tells him and nod, agreeing with her words.
"No, it's fine. Really." He assures us. "Bye Davina." He says as he hugs her and turns away and turns to me when they pull apart.
"Don't even think about it, unless you're her-" I point to Davina, taking a step back. "-or a member of my family, you're not getting a hug from me."
"Okay." He says akwardly and starts to walk out of the greenhouse but stops at the door and turns to me. "It was nice seeing you again, Lex."
I smile before answering, "You too, young one."
He speeds of and I turn to Davina who is already looking at me.
"So," The brunette beauty begins, wringing her hands, looking me in the eyes. "Can we makeout some more?" I chuckle and I pull her to me, nodding before I crash my lips to hers.

Grinning, I sped into the compound and into my twin's room. I see my twin still working on his painting.
"Ola twinnie." I say as I plop down on his couch, grin intact.
"Hello Lexie." He greets with a smile. "Why are you in such a spectacular mood?" He questions as he put down his paint brush and moved to pour us both a drink. He gave me a glass and sat down next to me.
"Well, I asked Davina to be my girlfriend and she said yes." I told him grinning like a madman, my tone filled with joy and excitement.
"Well it's about bloody time." He says, a smirk on his lips. "Congratulations, twin sister. I'm happy for you." He tells me sincerely and my smile widens as he gives me a side hug.
"Even if you don't like her?" I question him.
"She makes you happier than I've ever seen you, Aleksios. So, yes, even if I don't like her, I'm happy for you because she makes you happy." I know he means it, because he rarely uses my full name. And if my smile gets any wider, my face might crack. "I value your happiness enough and I love you enough to put my pride and dislike of her, aside for you." I reach over and I tackle myself into his side.
"Thank you." I mumble as he wraps his arms around me.
"Your welcome." He replies and I smile. "Always and Forever, right?"
"Always and Forever." I confirm. I hear the klicking of shoes and I move my head from my brother's chest to see my eldest brother enter the room.
"Sign it. Both of you." He demands me and my twin. We break our embrace and I turn to glare at him.
"Why? You've already done so on our behalf." My twin counters.
"What he said." I say, pointing to my twin. "Besides, you annointed yourself king of the city and I get why you did it but I'm not signing that thing. If I wanna kill, I wanna kill and I don't want a piece of paper standing in my way." I tell him while crossing my arms over my chest and leaning back on the couch.
"Brother, I am not a fool. It's clear to me you're not as disinterested as you'd like me to believe." Elijah says and I have to say, he's right. Nik want this city safe for his child, even if he doesn't say it. "And, sister, I know that you like to do as you please but I already signed the treaty and the others will consider it an act of war and come after you."
"They're welcome to try, but I'm immortal and immune to magic." I tell him sternly, standing up from the couch. "So, what could they possibly do to me?"
"Aleksios, in all of a thousand years, your only weakness was us. Your family, who is immortal." He begins. "But now you have another. Davina. And if they decide to go after you, to hurt you, they will hit you where it hurts. They will go after her. Not you." He tells me and my anger flares as I shot forward and grabbed him by the neck.
"Don't bring her into this." I snarl at him. I let him go and I go stand next to my twin, who stood up from the couch, ready to intervene.
"I'm not. But they will." My dark haired brother tells me. "Sign, please. If there is no peace between us, then how can you expect others to follow suit?" Elijah reasons and I glare at him.
"Fine, if it will make you happy." Nik caves and I look at him in disbelief. He signs the contract and holds the pen out to me.
I shake my head 'no' and I cross my arms over my chest. "No."
"Lexie, Elijah's right. If you want to hurt someone, you go for their loved ones. Now, they can't touch us but Davina, she's a mortal." My twin tells me and I sigh with a nod. I take the pen and signed the contract and took one of Nik's paint brushes, twirling it with my fingers.
"I assure you, this city's inhabitants will not adhere to this agreement." Nik says and I glare at him.
"Well, you are welcome to wager against me. You will lose." Elijah says sternly and I snort.
"We'll see." Nik and I say in unison. We look at each other and I grin.
A thought occured to me and I frowned. "Let me get this straight, you let me sign a contract but you don't think it will hold."
"Yes." He answers bluntly.
"Why?"
"Because you don't break contract and it will be amusing to see you freaking out because you can't murder someone when they irretate you." At his words, Elijah chuckled and I threw his paint brush in his chest.

A nice little Klaus and Lex moment because there hasn't been a proper one for a while.
