2 | ORIGINAL ALPHA HYBRIDS
“So, that’s your genius plan? To use Marcel after we made a deal?” I asked, my eyebrows raised and my hands on my hips. My eyes are narrowed and my tone skeptical. My two brother’s nod in unison and I face palmed, shaking my head. “And how are we going to convince him?”
“We going to talk to him.” Nik says out of the blue, pointing to me and him, making my eyes nearly pop out of my head. Six months of offerings and this is what gets him out of the house. Thinking back over it, Cami was here earlier and I felt Nik’s pain lift ever so slightly.
My eyes narrowed even further, “Does the bartender’s visit have anything to with your sudden interest in Marcel?” My twin didn’t answer me, but he didn’t need to. The way he looked anywhere but my eyes and the lightest touch of flush against his cheeks proved my words true. I rolled my eyes and huffed out, “Unbelievable.”
“Let’s go.” It was a mumble but I got it. He sped of, leaving me and Elijah behind.
“At least he’s getting out of the house.” My dark haired brother offered somewhat optimistically.
I sighed with a nod, briefly closing my eyes, “I guess so.” I sped of after my twin, feeling half sad. I’m his twin and after six months of suggestions and bribes he still wouldn’t get out of the house but one visit from Cami, and he’s eager to go. My eyes widened as I realized that this was how Nik must have felt when nothing could get me out of bed after Davina’s death.
Arriving at Marcel’s loft, I stopped in front of the building and listened in for a threat. Instead, I heard Marcel and Josh talking about recruiting new vampires. I heard about that from Davina who heard from Josh. “I'm not looking for tough guys, Josh. I'm looking for warriors.” Marcel told the young vampire as Nik and I exchanged a glance before speeding up to the apartment.
“What's the difference?” The man asks his sire, clearly not understanding what it is Marcel is looking for. Nik and I just arrived at the door of Marcel’s new home. I was about to say something but my twin beat me to it.
“A warrior fights for what they believe in.” My blonde brother speaks with a pointed look to Josh, before glancing at me.
“A warrior fights for her family.” I finished, smiling at Nik. He smiles at the two vampires, as do I. But I was smiling from the fact that my brother is talking to someone other than me and Elijah, and he is out of the house. After a moment, Marcel smiles back at us.
Later on, Marcel and Nik are drinking and playing Go while they discuss how to deal with taking back New Orleans. I’m just watching my twin in amazement. He still looks depressed, which is understandable, but there is a sparkle in his eyes that I haven’t seen in over six months. I smiled internally as I thought about it. I was right. No matter what happens, or who says what, in the end Marcel will always be Nik’s son and Nik will always be his father.
“The wolves have the numbers. Back in 1925, the Guerrera pack was maybe a hundred. We went guerrilla warfare on their asses and wiped them out over a four-day fight.” Marcel says as he places a stone on the Go board and waits for Nik to take his turn. “But, we're not just talking about Guerreras now. They've had wolves coming in from packs all over.”
I scoffed, offended by his words. “Please, they don’t stand a chance against the Original Hybrid twins. And to add to that, we are also Alpha’s. So, no matter how many wolves they have, we can take them.” I puffed my chest out a little. I may be a vampire, but I’m a werewolf. And since I’ve been with Davina, my wolf side has been more dominant.
“Well, we don't have to hit them all. Only the twelve with the rings that take me out every full moon.” My twin told Marcel and I scowled. I cannot wat until we can kill them without wondering if they will kill us.
“And in turn, I am weakened as well. Something that leaves me severely pissed off.” My scowl deepened to a terrifying degree at the thought of being weakened. The only weaknesses I have, are my family and my Love. And now I’m getting taken down through twelve rings. An involuntary growl ripped from my lips at the thought.
“Luckily we have Davina to tame your dangerous temper.” Nik teased me, I could hear it in his voice and see it on the smug smirk on his face. I got to say, I missed it. But right now, directing it at me, I don’t miss it that much. But I didn’t say anything, because he was right. That much was clear by how fast the scowl dropped of my face and a goofy smile took its place at the mention of her name.
“How-” Marcel started hesitantly, I glanced at him only to see a flash of pain in his eyes, before he shook his head. But he didn’t have to finish it, I knew who he was talking about. The one thing, the one person, we can agree on. A little witch named Davina Claire that is my whole world.
Which is why I decided to give him something, “She’s fine. Great actually.” I smiled warmly at him, taking my phone out of my back pocket and opening on a photo of her a week ago when we had a few hours together. We decided to talk a walk in the French Quarter, just walking and holding hands, cooped up in our own word.
“Wow.” He said as he looked at the picture. “Thanks.” He whispered gratefully, his eyes glistening slightly. He cleared his throat and we turned back to my twin. He was watching us with a soft smile on his face. “Wait, you want to find twelve rings? Go out and chop off the hands of every wolf you find 'til you get what you want! I mean, come on! You taught me that.” Marcel quickly got back on track because, like Nik, he doesn’t like showing emotions in front of anyone. I’m the only person that Nik fully shows his emotions around and before Davina, Nik was the only person that I allowed to see all of my emotions. What little I had anyways.
Nik smiles and places a stone on the board. I wonder if he will tell Marcel about the White Oak stake that disappeared right after the werewolf attack on the compound. That is something that is a bit of a sore spot with me. I haven’t told Davina that the one thing that can kill me is gone, and I’m feeling guilty because we promised each other that we’d never have any secrets from each other again.
“You three are stalling.” Marcel states. “Why?” He asked, clearly confused.
“Because it's possible they're in possession of something very dangerous to us.” My twin said, glancing at me briefly, relaxing when I smiled at him.
Marcel is stunned in realization. “They have the stake that can kill you.” Possibly. I wouldn’t bet on them having it, because if they have it, why haven’t they made their move? Also, judging by Marcel’s reaction, I guess we can cross him of the list.
“It went missing... the night I lost my child.” At his words, I walked so I was standing next to my twin. I linked my arm with his, offering him support. He smiles at me. “So, it's in play, and the thought of that makes me very nervous. Especially on nights like tonight.” Nik moves his arm from mine and turns to look out the window, where the full moon has begun to rise in the night sky. Watching him, I don’t know what to think except for the fact that he is hurt, that much is obvious by the squeezing around my heart and the way his shoulders is always tense, never relaxing. Not fully, not like it used to.
“Why would you tell me that?” Marcel asked, confused.
“Depends. Do you have it?” My brother questions, suspiciously and a little accusingly. I rolled my eyes but didn’t say anything, the thought did cross my mind as well.
“'Course not. That kind of weapon does me no good. You die, I die, along with every vampire we've ever sired.” The younger vampire pointed out, and my eyebrows raised at his answer.
“Huh,” I said thoughtfully. “I never even thought of that.” I admitted honestly, gaining a smile from Marcel.
Nik was clearly relieved at his words as it showed on his face. “Well, then, perhaps you'd like to help me get it back? We attack the wolves, tonight, when the moon hits its apex. They won't expect it while I'm weak.”
“One problem: how do we attack while we’re weak?” I asked, looking at my twin with raised eyebrows, an amused smirk playing on my lips. He glared at me. Suddenly, our conversation is interrupted by a vampire.
“Hey, bad news or good news?” The unknown vampire asked. I looked at Marcel questioningly.
Marcel laughs and stands up. “Klaus and Lex, Joe. Joe, Klaus and Lex.” He introduced us to the vampire. I smiled at him, giving him a wave as well.
“Mikaelson?” The man questioned, and Nik and I nodded in unison and the man looked at me. “Davina’s your girl, right? How is she?” I tensed at the mention of my love and glared at the man, harshly.
“Why?” I growled out, my Hybrid face out on display, fear filling Joe’s eyes and he took a step back from me.
“I don’t want any trouble.” His shaky voice answered, raising his head in surrender. “She seemed shaken up after the attack this morning.” I froze. My world stopped spinning and a gut churning fear filled my body straight to my bones.
“W-what attack?” I stammered out in a weak whisper, my knees feeling unsteady.
“A couple of werewolves made some trouble in my shop; your girl took them down. Real badass that girl. She left, without a scratch on her, but she seemed shook up.” A heavy sigh of relief filled me that she was fine, but the fact that she was attack by werewolves none the less made my blood boil.
“I, uh, I need to call her. I need to hear her voice.” I turned to Marcel and Nik, they both nodded and I started to walk outside, hearing Joe say, “You know, when she first came into my shop and told me about her relationship with one half of the world’s deadliest twins, I thought that Lex couldn’t love Davina as much as that witch loves her. Now I see that their love for each other is only rivaled by each other.”
“That’s true.” Marcel confirmed and I can hear the smile in his voice.
I sped up and down, pulling my phone out of my back pocket of my skinny jeans’ back pocket. I paced up and down on the sidewalk of the building as I waited for my brunette beauty to pick her phone up. I raked a hand through my hair as my wolf became restless the longer we waited for her to pick up.
“Hey babe.” She greeted me in her sexy voice and all was right in my world again. I closed my eyes as a huge sigh of relief passed my lips.
“Oh, love, thank god. Why didn’t you call me and tell me that you were involved in an attack? You could have been hurt.” I ranted out the fear that filled my bones when I heard that she was involved in an attack.
“Because I didn’t want you to worry. And I was going to tell you when we saw each other again so that you could see for yourself that I’m safe.” She explained patiently. I told her about my wolf that was both very protective and possessive of her. Davina only smiled and told me it’s okay, and since then she’s been helping me control my wolf by assuring her the she is only ours.
“Okay, love. I just got scared when I had to hear from someone else that my girlfriend was right in the middle of a werewolf attack.” I told her, feeling a little stupid because of my ranting now.
“It’s okay. Really. If I had to find out from someone else that you were in a fight, I’d be scared too. A little mad as well.” She assured me and I chuckled at her matter-of-fact tone.
“I love you, Davina.” My words were full of pure, unadulterated love.
“I love you most.” She told me and a goofy smile lit my face once more today.
“Impossible.”
“Possible.”

Okay and the winner is: Klayley.
Personally, it is my favorite ship as well. And I’m glad that you guys decided that as well. Sorry for the ones that are disappointed. But this is fanfiction and Hayley and Elijah are canon on the show, so for all of the Klayley shippers out there, I’m doing this.
Also, I’m putting in a lot of Dleksios fluff in right now, because come episode 4, shit is going down. P.S. there will be no Kolvina. They will merely be friends. I may create a love interest for Kol. And no, Lex won’t have a love interest other than Davina. Ever.
