AREESHA'S POV:

I peeked through the large windows and looked at all those security guards and Maaz' men standing outside, loaded with heavy guns and another weird type of weapons, sending a shiver down my spine, they all look so dangerous with that huge and bulky physique and holding those scary guns, I gulp harder, it seems impossible for me to escape without crossing them, but I have to leave without any of them noticing me, I need a plan, but what shall I do?

I started thinking of a suitable way when an idea came to my mind, I took the car keys from the holder and hide them in my dupatta and return back to the main lounge where Maaz was lying unconscious, I kneel down and checked his pulse, it was normal and he was breathing fine, I planted a kiss on the top of his head and took a deep breath, before running out of the mansion shouting for help, all his men stood straight and looked at me, Steve came forward in an instant,

"What happened Ma'am?" he asked in a hard voice and motion some men to go inside,

"Maaz.... Maaz he fell, I don't know what happened to him, please help me..." I said between my cries, Steve rush inside with his men trailing behind him and there was my chance to escape, so I started running to the underground parking lot and jump inside the car and drove off, I only have a few minutes window and I have to make it count, before anyone could stop me,

My heart was beating so fast that I could hear it pumping in my ears, I try to relax, but all this situation wasn't helping me, I pressed the gas pedal and started driving at full speed to get there as soon as possible.

A security guard stopped me at the gates, I look outside to his cabin and motion him to open the gates through the security camera planted right on the top of the door, he came out of the cabin but didn't open the gates,

"Open the gates, I have to," I shouted,

"Sorry Ma'am, we are not allowed to let anyone pass without Sir Maaz's permission, we had his strict orders, we can't disobey him," he said crossing his hands on his chest,

"Yeah, but he is not feeling well, I have to bring the doctor," I replied to him, but I was also getting terrified with all this inquiry, I started praying,

"You should go back, Ma'am, we will call the doctor and also an ambulance if needed, but we can't allow you to go," he said stubbornly,

"I have been calling for the doctor, but no one has come in the last fifteen minutes, I have to go, just open the damn doors already!" I yelled at him, he stared me for a minute, then push the button inside the cabin and the electronic metal gates started to open, I quickly started the car and drove off.

I don't know how Maaz is going to punish me for what I am doing, but I just couldn't help myself to stop him, I just can't put him in some kind of danger and I know I can handle Uncle.

I know uncle Jawed very well, he wants to use me as a bait for Maaz, he wanted his revenge for killing Alex and I won't let him do that, he will not hurt my loved ones anymore.

I don't know if he is telling me the truth about my mother or not, but if she is alive and his captive, I will not care for a mere second of my life to rescue her from that monster, he has kept her alive and away from us for all these years and I mourn for my parents, I prayed for both of them, I yearned to see them for one more moment, to spend some more time with them, but.... Damn!

I always blamed myself for my mother's death that I couldn't save her from that fire, but all this time she was with him and I don't know how that monster treated her,

Now I understand why he used to visit this Haweli twice a month.

I stop the car and opened Maaz's cell phone and looked at my location, only one more hour drive and I will be there, but I have to be quick before Maaz wakes up, I know I have to see his wrath, he is not going to like what I did, but I am sorry Maaz, I can't risk your life for me, everyone needs you,I am trusting you with my little brother I know you will keep him safe and more importantly Nani ma need you.

I am really sorry Maaz, I know you will be so mad at me, but after some time you will forgive me,

I looked down at the time and started to drive, I don't know why, but hands started to shake as time passes, I have to be strong for my family, I should not be scared now, I will get over with this, I can do this, be a strong girl Areesha! You are a daddy's strong and brave girl!

"Yes, I can do this," I assured myself and started praying to Allah SWT, asking for his help and guidance,

When I reached my destination, I picked up the diary from the seat and looked at the ragged leather cover, it was my father's diary, I had this with me for a long time, daddy has written all the secrets of this haweli in coded words which for the first time I couldn't understand, but now I have figured them out, I have been working on them for a long time and got to know the meaning of those codes, Daddy has disclosed everything about this Haweli, there was a map of the Haweli at the end giving me the information of all the possible routes and hidden tunnels, there was a detail of hidden weapons and mines underneath the base of this place.

I opened the last few pages where Baba has written all the things happened to him, he told me how his father, disowned him when he took my mother to meet him, how he was forced to leave my mother after their marriage, even my grandfather tried to kidnap my mother, but when daddy got to know about that he returned to his father and accused him of that, which he denied but my father fight for us, he never wanted to leave us at any cost and my grandfather was trying to get him back in the Haweli because all the properties and assets were named after him, he wanted his son back, but never accepted us, he wanted to get rid of us and wanted Baba to be with him and run his business, but Baba rejected all the wealth and came back to us with an intention to never go back to him, but he didn't know about the cruelty of his own blood, his own brother tried to kill him once, but Baba was able to escape from there, he never told us about that incident but he wrote that if he dies in any kind of accident the blame should be on his brother.

I pulled out a piece of paper, from the back of the diary, the last letter from my dad for me and started reading it,

"My dear princes,

I know I will not be alive when you will be reading this letter, I wanted to keep you and your mama away from all my family drama, but I am sorry my love, I couldn't keep you safe from them, I want you to be a strong woman just like your mother.

She is the strongest woman I have ever known, she has that courage that has kept me going through all the problems in my life, her faith in me and her support gave so much strength to fight for both of you, I was so heartbroken when I left my father, but your mother's love was an only cure that helped me, so my love I want you to be just like her and I know you are my brave girl, you can overcome from any obstacle in your life.

Life is not easy my love, be aware of the cruelty of this world and have your faith in Allah SWT, he will help you with every problem and never lose your trust on him, if you got stuck into something, just close your eyes and ask help from Allah SWT, with all your heart, he will In Sha Allah, show you a way and will guide you to the right path, my prayers are always with you my princess, even if I die I will keep praying for you.

One last thing, my princess, if you ever get a chance to save someone, do not think twice to help them, saving a single soul means saving the whole humanity, so be there for anyone who needs your help and do not hesitate for a second, Allah SWT will reward you beyond your expectations.

I pray for you to find your love and when you do, trust him and give whatever you can to him, help him and support him in his every decision, I know how much stubborn you are, but my dear princess, try to change that habit of yours, stubbornness is good, only when it is needed, go out there and enjoy your life, make few mistakes and try to learn from them and when you find someone special in your life give him more importance, he is going to be your soul mate and a person who was chosen for you by the Almighty Allah SWT. Stay happy and blessed my child.

Keep your mother safe and give my love to Adil, I wish I will be there to see both of you grow up but don't think I am away from you, I will always be there watching and praying for both of you even if I die soon.

I closed my eyes and wipe the tear from my eyes, how much he believed in me! Baba, I am sorry, I let you down, I couldn't do what you asked me to, I failed you, Baba, I am sorry.

I lowered my head on the steering wheel and weep, feeling this awful pain in my chest, but now I have a chance to prove myself that I am my daddy's brave girl, I will not let him down, today I will avenge his death and save my mother.

I opened the last page of the diary and look at the map of the Haweli, indicating two hidden passages leading to the underground cellar, beneath the cellar was a hidden mine full of explosives, in the end, was this weird type of sign that I couldn't understand what does it indicate, but as much as I came to know these codes, it was some kind of key or something, I watched that sign carefully thinking where I have seen this before, but I couldn't remember it.

I sighed audibly and get down from the car hiding the diary and look at my surroundings, it was quiet, maybe too quiet, I started walking to the ruins of the Haweli when I saw a man standing near the door his back facing me, I took few more steps to him when he turns around and smirk eyeing me like I was a piece of meat for a hawk,

"She is here," he said through the phone and nodded, listening to someone on the other side,

"Come," he said it to me and went inside the burnt Haweli, I stayed rooted to my place and looked up to it when a horrible memory flashed inside my head, I could hear those screams again and the blazing fire burning people alive, the awful smell of burning bodies and blood.

"Move woman!" that man grabs me from my elbow in a wild like grip and pull me with him, I shook my head to clear out those memories and released my arm from him, he turns around to say something, but I slapped him hard across his face that the sound echoed through the whole place, he looked at me with furious eyes,

"Don't ever touch me again, understand! Keep your filthy self to yourself, if you ever touch me again, I will not spare you!" I warned him and took a step ahead of him and walked down the stairs, he remained quiet as he lead me to the staircase under the small tunnel, it was dark and an awful smell lingered in the air, I wrinkle my nose and cover my mouth with my hand, he stopped in front of the door and knocked three times in a row.

The door opened immediately and we stepped in, it was a small room with another door to the other side,

"Stay here," he said and left me there alone wondering this small place when something caught my attention, I looked at the design on the wall it looked familiar to me,

My eyes widen as I remembered, it was the same mark on my father's diary, I put my hand on the wall, trying to find what I thought it could be and here in the middle I found it, I pressed the small button and the wall started to slide, I gasped and moved back watching the back door, but no one was there.

I pulled out Maaz's phone and opened its light and step into the dark room, as I enter, the wall slide back, leaving me trapped in there, I wipe the sweat from my hands and hold the cell phone straight in my hand scared to move my single muscle as I saw loads of explosives and not just some of them, it was the whole mine of them, I stopped my breath terrified to be in such a place,

Damn it! I have to get out of here, before I got myself killed in here and no one will ever find me, I took a cautious step back and tried to open that stupid door, but after several trials nothing happened, I turn around and took a long breath in before starting walking along this tunnel like place, after walking for some time and turning left and rights I saw a small light ahead of me, quickly, but carefully I walked towards it, it was a small underground window, I could see a sole of shoes, I stood up on my tiptoes to have a better look and saw some men standing there talking and laughing while aiming their guns at each other, stupid man! I roll my eyes at them

I look around the room and saw her! I saw my mother!

Tears blurred my vision, watching her in that vulnerable condition, she was all chained up on the wall and her head was hung low, her hairs were sprawled around her and she looks so fragile and weak, dried blood was covering her forehead as she lifted her head up trying to change her position, I covered my mouth to stop the sob while watching her,

"I am coming mama, I will save you,"

I got down from there and started searching for my way out, I have to get to her by any means, I started running looking for an exit, but again turning several turns I couldn't find a way out of this stupid tunnel or maze whatever it was, I was getting irritated with this,

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm my nerves, I have to stay calm.

I look around myself when I notice a straight line of gunpowder on the ground I started walking along with it which lead me back to the same window of that room where Mama was kept captive, but this time I heard those men running and shoving their guns while shouting at each other,

"Where the hell she has gone?"

"Don't know, but the boss wants to see her,"

"We can't find her, she was there with Smith, but she just got vanished in a few minutes, don't know where she went so quickly,"

"Well, that's your stupidity, don't you know she is a wife of that Jafferi! She must be like him, you should have been more careful around her, she can do anything, don't take her lightly just because she is a woman, she is the one who brought THE Jafferi to his knees! Damn! I have never seen him that weak in front of anyone, you guys should have watched him when his wife left him, he was on the verge of losing his sanity"

"Cut the nonsense and start searching for her or I will serve your head to the boss!" I heard another one saying and they all rushed out of the room leaving Mama behind by a man guarding her,

I shook my head and heave a sigh, what a mess it is!

My father's family and this Haweli are the weirdest things I have ever seen in my life, I swear, I will never think of this place ever again in my life,

I spilled some gunpowder near that window and move back searching for an exit, I close my eyes and turn around and started walking with my eyes closed this time, while praying to be out of this mine, but after walking for a couple of minutes I open my eyes, I think I am just walking round and round, I groaned at this situation,

I look back at the cell phone in my hand, gripping it tightly,

"Okay Areesha, just follow your instincts," I said it to myself,

I started walking again and luckily I saw a small ray of light this time few feet away, I quickly ran towards it and jump in excitement, it was the same door from where I came into this place, I put my hand on the wall and search for that small button again and pressed it harder and the wall started to slide and I slipped out of that suicidal place,

"Damn! That was close,!" I took a deep breath, stepping out of that horrible place and shrugged my shoulders,

"I found her!" I heard someone shouting behind me, but before, I could turn and see who it was a man caught me from my upper arm and started dragging me with him, I tried to wriggle free from his animalistic grip but he didn't budge.

Damn! These huge guys!

I forcefully stopped him and when he turns to me I elbow him in his guts causing him to groan in pain and release my arm,

"That serves you better," I said, flipping my hairs, watching him kneeling in front of me.

"You little!" he tried to stand and come to me, but I knee him hard where the sun doesn't shine, he groaned in pain again with a scream and fall on the floor,

"Enough of this madness beautiful, if you want to stay alive, come with me," I heard a voice from my back and I could feel his gun digging into my shoulders, I look through my shoulder and saw a middle age man eagerly watching me,

"Okay, but don't touch me!" I said, raising my arms in the air, he nodded and lead me through the door and up to the stairs and unlock the rusted old metal gate and motion me to go inside, I gave him a puzzled look but he ignored me and turn around.

I walked straight where I could see a man standing to look down at the ground, but when I walk closer I could see clearly that Uncle Jawed was standing there with a help of a stick, he had his whole arm and forehead bandaged, he looked so weak, wounded and.... Broken?

I stopped a couple of feet away from him, but he didn't look up to me, he was still staring at the ground, I looked down and saw a grave with a gravestone where Alex's name was imprinted,

"You know how it feels to lose a single person you love?" he asked without averting his gaze from the grave,

"I know you know how soul-crushing it is," he said again, I remain quiet, not feeling good about what he is talking,

"He killed my only son! My only love! My only happiness in this whole world! I still remember the day when he was born and for the first time I hold him in my arms, I wanted to give him the whole world, I wanted him to be happy but that Bastard killed him!" he said taking a step closer to me,

"Don't you think it was all your doing? You just can't blame Maaz for this, he wasn't the one who destroyed several lives, YOU are the one who killed your own brother, you killed your business partner just for the sake of money, You killed Maaz's family right in front of his eyes and left him there to die a painful death," I yelled at him,

Hoe delusional he is!

But I had enough now.

What the hell he think he is!

"I know you are the one who put the fire in the Haweli that night, you even murdered your own father in your rage and madness, don't you think you have more blood on your hands than others! How can you blame anyone else for your catastrophic life!" Yes, I know his secret.

"You have destroyed many lives, Uncle, and Alex had to pay for your doings! He died because of you!"

He looked at me with furious eyes, "Yes! I killed all of them, I will kill anyone who comes in between my happiness and today, I will kill that Husband of yours, I made a mistake of leaving him alive, I should have choked the life out of him and watch him die just like I watched Jamshed begging for me to save him while I watched him taking his last breath, he was apologizing for everything but it was too late, he has messed up my life already," he told me, taking a step closer, my hands started to shake,listening to him, I wanted to lunge at him and empty the whole chamber of bullets shooting him right away,

"You know what Uncle, you are insane! You shouldn't have been set loose, a mental asylum is way better for you to stay, you don't have a remorse or a single guilt of what you have done in your life, you are mentally sick Bastard!" I yelled at him while backing up as tried to hold me, I raise my hand.

"Don't even think about to touch me," I warned him,

He watched me for a long time, tilting his head, "You are just like your mother, you have this fierce fire in yourself that I couldn't break you, I did whatever I can to make you suffer for it, but every time you have amazed me and made me want to give you more pain, just like I loved to beat your mother here, she is so stubborn," he said with a smile, I wipe the sweat from my palms and hold my head high trying to be brave in front of him while my heart was pumping so fast like it will burst out of my rib cage any time,

Sick bastard! He needs to be behind the bars before he hurt anyone. I thought.

"I want to meet my mother now!" I demanded, he chuckles and looked up at me,

"You will see her soon enough, but not now, to be honest, I wasn't really expecting you to be here," he said, I gave him a perplexed look, what the hell?

"When I called you earlier I was sure that Maaz will never let you come here, he would have just locked you up in his fancy house and would have come here on his own to face me, because he knows who I am and now I remember who's bastard child he is, first I didn't know about his past but when he kicked me out of his office that day, I was so mad at him for double crossing me, so I looked into his past and learn about him, he is the son of Aryan Jafferi, most successful businessman of his time, but damn it was too late for me to know about Maaz, but today I will finish him, I will avenge my son, I know how vnlerable he is without you, for the last two years he has kept me captive and bashed his anger on me while you were gone enjoying your life out there and I was been tied up with the chains and got a cut in every inch of my body,"

"Well, I feel sorry to let you down Uncle, but Maaz is not coming here, I won't let him come near you, so for the last time I am asking you to take me to my mother, I have all the money you wanted in the car, just have your money and let my mother go," I said

"What if I don't comply with your demand?" he asked me with amusement

"I will burn this whole place down along with you!" I said, he throws his head back and laughed,

"You pathetic excuse for a woman will kill me?" he asked,

"You want me to try?" I asked, backing up while taking the gun out of my back and tighten the grip on the handle,

"I know, you can't kill me, you don't have the nerve to hurt anyone, but now you have ruined my plan so I need a little time to think of something else to bring Maaz here in my territory," he said and raise his hand and in an instant there were five men surrounding me,

"Take her away and lock her up, make sure to restrain her properly," he instructed them and they move towards me, I gulp harder and pull out the gun and aimed at one of them,

"Don't move! I will not hesitate to shoot," I warned them, but they ignored my words and one of them tried to hold my arm, I turn and shoot him right on his knee, he fell on the floor gripping his bloodied knee, shouting in pain, I turn around and shoot another one on his shoulder and move couple of feet away from them,

"I won't hesitate to kill all of them, take me to my mother! Now!" I shouted and aimed my gun at the man's head who was lying in front of me, screaming in pain. The training I got from Ehteshaam Bhai really helped me here, he taught me self-defense lessons and only on my demand taught me how to shoot as well.

"Enough of this silliness Areesha, I won't let you meet her till you call your husband and ask him to come here," he said,

"NO, I won't call him and he is not going to come here by any means," I denied him and prayed for Maaz to just stay there while I deal with his devil myself.

I was looking ahead of me to Uncle but didn't notice a man coming from my back, but when I sensed him standing behind me it was too late for me to do anything as I turn to hit him, his single blow on my face send me flying in the ground few feet away from him,

Damn! I hurt like a...

I feel the blood running down my nose, I tried to stand, but another blow on my head send me deep into the depth of darkness.

MAAZ'S POV:

I opened my eyes and jump up from the couch on which I was currently lying, "Where is Areesha?" I asked as I saw Steve standing near the corridor talking to someone on the phone, there were my men walking here and there talking through the earpiece device,

"Sir, you should lay down for a bit, you are not..."

"What the hell is going on? And where is Areesha?" I asked,

"Sir, she..." he looks down at his feet,

"Steve! Look at me!" I ordered and he looks up.

"She left, she tricked us, we were just waiting outside for you, when she came and asked for our help, she told that something has happened to you and when we came in I found you lying on the floor unconscious, we called the doctor and he told us that you were drugged, I tried to find Mrs. Jafferi, but she wasn't anywhere to be found, last time security guard saw her driving through the main gates, he told us that she went to all for a doctor, she tricked him too, I don't know why she lied to us but she has gotten herself into a big trouble, she has left her cell phone here, we have been trying to track the car, but the thing is that she took your old car, we have taken the tracker out of that car, so we....."

"Cut the crap! You are the smartest and well-trained guys all over the state and you are telling me that you guys got tricked by a mere woman?" I yelled at them,

"Sir, she is not just a mere woman, she is..." I gave him a look telling him to shut the hell up,

"Sir, we.."

I raise my hand to stop him saying another word, "Where is my phone?" I asked, glancing down at my watch and cursed,

Damn it!

It's been three hours!

Areesha!

Why did you that girl! Just wait till I get my hands on you, I promise I will chain you to my bed for a week, no for a whole month! No, for my entire life! You need to be taught a lesson for not obeying me!

"Sir, we can't find your phone either," Steve said, looking down on the floor,

"You are all fired! You all are pathetic! How can you all..." I stopped my outburst and tried to control my anger, it's not their fault, but they should have been careful.

I picked up the phone from the table and dialed my number, someone rejected the call, so it means that Areesha took my phone with her.

"Steve, trace my number, Areesha has my phone and meet me down the lot," I said, turning around and picked up a syringe and injected into my arm,

"Sir, what are you..." Steve said as I injected a dose of prophylaxis into my bloodstream,

"Let's go!" I ordered them and walked out and headed towards my range rover, but drop the idea, I need to get there fast and this car would not be helping me with it, so I decided to take my baby out for a drive, I pulled over my Lamborgini Aventador LP 700-4 it's not the fastest car in the world but, it's 217 mph speed can help me to get there fast.

It was a three-hour drive by I reached there in just an hour, I hopped out of the car and ran towards the ruins of that Haweli, I am sure Jawed must be there with my overly stubborn girl.

I didn't wait for my guys to come and marched down the broken stairs where I heard her screams, she was screaming in pain and begging someone to stop it, listening to her screams just boiled my blood, I bawled my hand into the fist and pulled out my revolver from the holster with an intention to kill each and everyone here hurting my wife.

There were a bunch of men standing outside the door and talking to each other, I didn't waste any time before shooting all of them and open slam open the door where I found both of them all tied up, Areesha was hanging from the ceiling and crying for help, Jawed was standing near Aunt Maheen holding a whip in his hand, smiling evilly at both of them.

He looked up to me and a smile disappeared from his face, Areesha shouted for me to go away from here, but I ignored her pleas and move to him like a predator ready to hunt prey down,

"Not so fast Maaz, don't come any closer or I will slit her throat," he said, picking a knife from his side, I narrowed my eyes at him,

"Maaz! Just go away from here! Why you never listen to me? Just go!" Areesha shouted from my behind, I turn to her and fire to the chains causing her to fall into my arms, I lower her down and remove the ropes and chains around her body, while keeping my guards up as Jawed was still standing there holding a knife at Aunt Maheen. He didn't say anything while I steadied Areesha.

"That's exactly how I feel when YOU show your stubbornness, so I guess we are even now," I said through my shoulders and focused back on Jawed,

"You think I am stubborn? What would you say about yourself huh?"

"You never listen to anyone, just do whatever you wished to, you want everyone to just obey your commands without asking anything, you just can't control all the people around you!" she yelled at me,

"Okay, now! I think it might be better for both of you to shut the F**k up! If you two want to fight, both of you will have plenty of time to fight in hell, so don't waste my time," Jawed interrupted,

"Oh, Yeah, Sorry I forgot you are still there," I said, shrugging my shoulders and looked back to Jawed who was glaring at me, "You know all of this is over now, you can't do anything," I said,

" Ask your men to surrender now and I will spare them, but if anyone tries to be over smart he will not be able to breathe for another minute, I don't want to spill more blood, I just want this to end it now," I continued while aiming my gun at him, he smiled and look back at Areesha through my shoulder,

"See. I told you he is overconfident," he says to her, I heard Steve through the earpiece telling me about the updates and told me they got all the men out there and has already restrained all of them, he told me about my guys already in their position outside this room waiting for my signal to get in.

"Stay there," I whisper.

"I am not going anywhere until I.... Ahhhh....." he shouted, holding his bloodied hand and fall back,

"Sorry, you were saying..." I asked, loading my gun again to fire, but tuck it back into the holster and marched to him,

I kicked him straight in his abdomen with my boots and he screams in pain, Areesha quickly untie Aunt Maheen and remove the tape from her mouth,

"Maaz!" she called me, I gave Jawed a last glance and walked back to them and keel in front of Aunt,

"I am here, You don't have to worry about anything now, you are safe with me," I said removing her damp hairs from her face and helped her to stand, she was so weak, that she wasn't able to stand on her own, Areesha was holding her from the other side,

"Take her to the safe place, I will be right behind you," I said to her, she nodded and started walking out of the room,

"Areesha is coming out with Aunt, take them to the safe area," I ordered to Steve,

"Copy that," he replied,

"You think this is over Jafferi? This will never end until your death, I will not sit back till I take my revenge from you," I heard Jawed,

"You killed my son! My only son! You killed him brutally!"

"What about YOU, huh? You took away all my family that night, you killed my little brother, I front of me, I begged you to leave us to spare our lives, but you didn't listen to any of my pleas that night," I said and again started beating him, I wanted to see him dead.

The face of my little brother came into my mind, he was laughing while chasing me, but then I heard him shouting for mama, he was crying in my arms asking me to go back to mama, then I saw her dead body lying in the middle of the pool of blood, near my father, her eyes were open, but there was no life in them, then the face of my little brother flashed through my mind, his dead body in my arms as I tried to wake him up but he never opened his eyes for me, his body was turning blue due to the cold and then I heard the evil laughter of all those men standing in front of me,

I kicked him on his face while all those memories flashed through my eyes, making me hit him more, I aimed my gun at him was about to pull the trigger, when I heard a deafening sound came from the outside and before I could go out few men came in while others were fighting with my men outside, they all circled me and one of them picked up Jawed from the ground, but before they could attack me, I pulled out my other gun and shoot the one standing on my right and others attack me, I duck down and dodge the other man coming from my behind and shoot him on his back, but in next moment I groaned in pain and release my gun as I fall to the floor,

A man in white shirt stabbed me in my abdomen, I took deep breaths and pulled out the knife from my body, it was hurting so much! I tried to stand, but Damn! This pain is too much to bear. I put the pressure on the cut trying to stop the bleeding, but it was of no use. Those idiots dragged me out of the room up to the stairs, Steve came from the other side with my men and shoots all the other guys standing near me, "Go and get Areesha and Aunt to the safe place and make sure to clear the area," I ordered to Steve, who was kneeling beside me with a worried expression on his face,

"Maaz, you need medical attention, you are hurt and bleeding so much," he said and helped me to stand but I shove him away,

"I don't need any assistance, just go and help the others, don't let anyone of them escape from here, especially Jawed," I said in my authoritative tone, he looked at me for a minute then nodded,

"But you.."

"Just go, Steve!" I shouted this time, why he is being so pushy? I thought and signaled him to go, he looks down at me and left with my men, leaving five of them with me,

"What are you guys waiting for?" I asked them, they looked at each other in confusion,

"Just go with Steve," I said,

"But, Sir, he asked us to be with you," one of them said,

"I don't want anyone to be here, just go and help him to wipe out that pathetic gang who helped Jawed to escape, I want all of them dead," I roared, getting so annoyed with all of them, I don't need to be babysitting.

God Damn it!

"Sir, we..."

"Go away or I will shoot you all myself," I yelled at them, they looked at each other and left from here, I sighed an audible breath and tried to stand with the help of a pillar near me, I was breathing fast, leaned my back at the pillar behind me, when a couple of men caught me from my neck,

"Tell the boss that we got him," one of them said as I tried to wriggle free from him, but as much as I tried to get myself out, he increases the pressure on my neck,

MAAZ! I heard a familiar voice and We all look up to the source of the voice,

I saw Areesha shouting my name from my left, I looked up to her, she was running towards me, I fall on the ground as the other man shoots me in my leg, I look for my gun and picked it up and shoot all of them before they all could understand my next move, their bodies fall on the ground along with me, I was losing blood and the pain was too much, slowly I was starting to lose my conscious,

"No no no no no.... Maaz! Open your eyes, Maaz, look at me, please," she said, sitting beside me and put my head on her lap and started tapping my cheeks,

"Sir, we have cleared the area, everyone is dead now, but we are searching for Jawed, he is nowhere to be found, Miss Areesha has ordered us not to step inside the Haweli, but we need your approval Sir, I think he might be hiding in there," I heard Steve,

"Stay out of there, if she has told you to," I replied to him and pulled out the earpiece from my ear and throw it away and focused back on my bundle of troubles sitting beside me,

"Why are you here, Stupid?" I asked through gritted teeth, trying my best to suppress the pain,

"What?? You thought I will leave you here? All alone by yourself?" she asked as she continued to tap my face,

"Stop it! It's hurting me more," I said, holding her wrist in my hand,

"Oh, sorry. I..."

"Where is Aunt Maheen?" I asked her,

"She is fine, I send her to the hospital with Steve, he will protect her, I made him promise to be with her all the time," she said, my eyes were growing heavier with every passing second,

"Maaz, I have called an ambulance, it will be here soon enough, just try to stay awake, okay, I want you to stay with me," she said and I felt her tear fell on my forehead, I smiled, looking at her,

"I will not leave you, but I just can't give up right now Areesha, I have to avenge my family and your..."

"No, you are not going anywhere other than a hospital," she said angrily,

"Whoa! Look what we got here," I heard the same dreadful voice again and forced open my eyes.

"Ah... how much it pleasures me to see you dying Jafferi, it's the best day of my life," he continued as he stood in the middle of the door frame, Areesha took something from my pocket and stood in front of me,

"No, it's going to be your end, uncle, you will never be able to get what you wanted and wished for, I will take it away from you," she said and started lightening up lighter in her hand, Jawed looked at her horrified,

"No, you won't!" he said in disbelief as he eyed the lighter in her hand,

"Try me," she said and threw it away through the small window near the door, it started to lighten up and Jawed started to scream for help as we saw the flames inside,

"What is going on?" I asked her as she came back to me and helped me to get up and lean my body against her,

"We need to get out of here, fast Maaz," she said while practically dragging me along with her, I encircled her waist with my arm and push myself up avoiding to put pressure on my wounded leg and after a few minutes we heard a loud voice of something explode, I looked back and the whole ground was covered in fire, the remains of that Haweli were crashing down,

"What did you do?" I asked,

"Nothing, just took away what he loved all his life and tend to destroy other for getting it," she replied while taking a few deep breaths,

"What?"I was confused now,

"Uncle has hidden dungeon underneath the Haweli, he has kept all his money in there, I got to know about the hidden mine near that dungeon so I had just lit it up," she told me, I stared at her with wide eyes,

"Are you serious?" I asked in disbelief, how the hell did she know about that and...

"How did you know about it?" I asked again,

She shrugged her shoulders, "I saw it with my own eyes, I know the hidden passages of this place,"

"Don't tell me you were inside the mine full of explosives!" I said getting furious at her foolishness,

"What if something happened to her?"

"I am totally fine Maaz," she said, holding my arm and I dropped it over her slender shoulders, it was getting impossible for me to stand,

"Just let me get home and you will be begging for my mercy, I am so mad at you for what you did to me," I said as I remember her acts earlier,

"I am sorry, but I had to stop you, but you never listen to me, look, you got yourself hurt in the process, I was just trying to avoid all this, Maaz!" she screamed as I fall to my side clutching my side of the abdomen,

"Maaz, just a few more minutes, please, stay with me, you are going to be fine," she said cupping my face with her hands,

I smiled and run my fingers through her long beautiful silky hairs, oh how much I love her hairs, I breath hard, "I am sorry, love, I wish I could have spent...."

"No, you are not saying that to me Maaz, you are not leaving me! You will not die!" she shouted, slapping away my hand from her hairs, she looks around and shouted for help but there was no one who could hear us,

She started searching for something and found my earpiece on the ground, she picked it up and started calling Steve,

"Come here, this instant and where the hell is ambulance I called for?" she asked angrily,

"No, just send some help here and don't you dare move an inch away from my mother, understand!" she said, making me smile at her words,

"Areesha, you..." I opened my eyes to look at her, but I saw Jawed standing behind her holding a gun in his hands, he was looking horrible, with all the blood and dust covering his face and I could see the madness over his face, he wasn't in his senses anymore, he loaded his gun and aimed at the head of Areesha who was hovering over me, watching me with those beautiful teary eyes.

I hold her by the shoulders and pushed her to the ground and lifted myself up to cover her while I pick my gun and shoot at Jawed on his head.

The sound of two gunshots was heard and I fall on the ground by taking another bullet in my body, I collapse on the floor and my whole life, starting flashing in front of my eyes, it was like I was watching it and feeling it again, first my family, the day I hold my little brother smiling at mama, that dreadful night, the day I laid my eyes on the beautiful hazel brown eyes, our time spent together, the day I left her and thought I lost her forever.

Then the day I saw those eyes again and the same feeling started rooting inside me when I saw her on my cruise, the day I married her and....

The darkness was starting to get inside my head, I tried to fight it away, but I think my time has come, I could hear her screaming for me, I could still feel her tears, she was asking me to stay with her.

"I am sorry Areesha I couldn't keep my promise... I wish we could spend some more time together as a family, how much I wanted a beautiful family with you.... But... please keep Nani ma safe.... I am sorry Areesha, I am so sorry for leaving you, I love you and will be loving you even after my death..." I said to her and closed my eyes and let the dreadful darkness consume me.
