CHAPTER 34:

MAAZ'S POV:

I entered into the hotel with my security guards making a way for me through the annoying reporters who were making me more furious by asking silly questions about my relationship with Zoya, which annoyed me a lot, that woman just know how to provoke my anger, but it's going to be okay, what I have planned for her tonight, she will regret each and every moment spend with me, I thought with a sly smile on my lips by just thinking about it, as I walked through the main lobby, my assistant manager came to me, and greeted, I just nodded in response and asked him about the preparations and security, all the details on the patrol around the whole area, while we were discussing, Sara came to me holding Adil's hand in hers, I looked at her with a raised eyebrow, she took a step back,

"Sir, your grandmother asked me to take Adil to you, she wants you to keep him with you," she said, I looked down at that little boy who was watching me with his big brown eyes with so much excitement and happiness, a huge smile across his lips, he was wearing the same design suit as mine, even the tie was same,

"Okay, leave him," I said and she nodded in respect and left, "Assalam O Alikum, Maaz Bhai!" he said as Sara left, "Walikum as Salam, little one, so why do you want to be with me?" I asked, "I don't know, I just like to spend some time with you, I just enjoy your company," he said, I smiled looking at him, "So, where did you get your suit?" I asked holding his little hand in mine and started moving to the ballroom,

"Alizeh Api gave this to me, you know she has designed so many costumes for me, I tried each and every one of them and absolutely loved it!" he told me, "Sure, she did," I replied, "So, what do you want to do?" I asked,

"Well, I don't know," he shrugged his shoulders and watched a woman standing a few feet away from us,

"There is seriously something wrong with that woman Maaz Bhai, look!" he said, pointing to that woman who was batting her eyelashes at me, openly trying to flirt, one of Zoya's friend, who were definitely not invited, but just because of Nani ma I have allow them to attend my marriage, I just rolled my eyes at her and walked away from there with Adil,

"I think we should help her, she needs some medical attention I think," he said, I chuckle at his remarks, "No, buddy, she was just trying to flirt, there was nothing wrong with her, but she really needs a consult from a neurologist and psychiatrist," I said,

"How do we flirt Maaz Bhai?" he asked,

"You don't have to learn that now buddy," I said enjoying his company,

"Do you have any friends?" I asked him as we were walking through the crowd of guests,

"No, not really, I spend most of the time with Api," he answered,

"And why is that so?" I asked, him,

"I don't how to make friends," he replied, I look around and kneel beside him,

"Okay, don't worry, let's find someone for you," I said and spotted a little girl standing near the chocolate fountain,

"There, do you see her?" I asked, he nodded, watching her, "she is cute," Adil said, "So, go and introduce yourself to her," I said,

"But Maaz Bhai, what if she don't want to be my friend?" he asked,

"Come on Buddy! Look at yourself, you are looking so adorable in this suit, and you are the sweetest kid I know, I am sure she will accept your friendship, just give her a smile like this and she will be your friend," I said, teaching him my signature flirty smile, "Okay, I am going, but can I have a chocolate first?" he asked and pulled out a bar from his pocket, "Sure," I answered, "You said I am looking good in this suit right?" he asked, I nodded, "Well, Alizeh Api told me earlier that I am looking just like you, so I think, just like you I will have friends," he said,

"It doesn't matter Buddy, how do you look, what does matter is that how sincere and honest you are with your friends, if you want to have a friend just be who you are," I said, he smiled and hugged me,

"Thank you Bhai, okay, I am going now," he said, I stood up from my place and watched him walking towards that girl,

I was taken back by my words right now, it was a bitter truth that people admire and appreciate me, but they only do that because of my wealth and success, they don't even know who I really am, neither do they care, in this cruel world, everyone is after the success and to take each other down, not caring what they do to others in the process, I shook my head and watched Adil as he approached that girl, she was really a cute kid, wearing light pink dress with white ribbons, "Hey," Adil greeted, she looked at him with a smile, "Hello,"

"My name is Adil," he said,

"Hello Adil, my name is Aima," she replied,

"It's really nice to meet you, do you want to be my friend?" he asked, smiling exactly the same way I taught him,

"Um.... There is something in your teeth Adil," she said, giggling and pointing towards his mouth, he instantly covered his mouth with his hands and walked back to me,

"What happened buddy?" I asked, trying to control my laugh,

"I feel so embarrassed, there was a bug in my teeth!" he said,

"Let me look," I said and kneeled down beside him,

"It's just a piece of chocolate buddy, it's not a bug, why do you think it was a bug?" I asked,

"I saw a movie last night and there was a guy, who had a bug on his teeth, so I thought the same thing,"

"Come on! That's so silly!" I said,

"Heeey!" he protested,

"Come on, let's go find Aima," I said, but he shook his head,

"No, I don't want to face her, I told you before I just can't have friends," he said sadly,

"Hey! That was not a big deal, besides that you have me," I said pinching his chubby cheeks,

"So, you are my friend?" he asked,

"Sure I am," I replied,

"Pinky promise," he asked, extending his little hand to me,

"Promise," I replied, he beamed and hugged me again, this kid really likes to hug.

"Oh boy! I can't believe it! Now I have Api and you as my best friends!" he said,

"And what about your father and brother?" I asked,

"Alex Bhai is just busy with his other friends, he usually don't like to be with us, and papa is so strict sometimes he bea...."

"Adil! Come here, Dad is calling you," we heard Alex calling him, Adil looked at him and nervously wipe his hands with a napkin,

"I will be back Maaz Bhai," he said, and started walking towards Alex,

"Wait, Adil, what were you telling me about your father?" I asked, stopping him,

"Um.. Nothing, I will tell you later," he said, releasing his hand from mine and ran away to Alex who was giving him a stern look,

What the hell what that? Why Adil reacted like that, there is definitely something wrong, and I thought watching them leave the room, I should get to know more about Javed and his past life, the way Adil reacted was not normal,

I thought watching their retreating back, when Nani ma called me, I looked back where she was standing and started walking to her, she introduced me to some of her friends, they started talking about some random things when there was a total blackout and a spotlight flashed to the top of the stairs where Alizeh was standing, my gaze landed on Areesha who was standing behind Alizeh and she really took my breath away, she was looking absolutely gorgeous and so beautiful that I just couldn't take my eyes from her, "Masha Allah," I heard Nani ma,

"Masha Allah, your daughter in law is very pretty," I heard one of her friends saying, "Yes, she is looking so beautiful," I heard her son, which earned him a very hard stare from me, he gulps harder, "Um I mean she is..."

"I don't care what the hell you think, think twice before saying anything about her!" I said harshly and walked away,

"Maaz! That's not the way you talk to people, they are our guests," she said scolding me,

"Didn't you hear what he just said?" I asked,

"Maaz, don't make a fuss about it, he just said it simultaneously," she said, but I just took a seat and watched her coming down the stairs with Alizeh,

"Ah... my little princess has grown so fast, I just can't believe it!" I heard Javed, who was standing beside nani ma,

"Time fly so fast," he said, watching Areesha, making me more furious, I just tried to stay silent but that was really difficult for me right now, Areesha came Nani ma on the other side of the veil, she hugged her but again Javed interrupted,

"Ah.. I can't believe my princess has grown up so fast, today she will leave her old man alone, Oh, my dear child, how I will live without you," he said, to her,

"Will you cut your act and let the Nikkah begin," I said a bit irritated by all this.

The nikkah begins and Areesha signed the papers and Alex brings them back to me, Qari Sahab started to take my consent when I cut in before he could say Javed's name with her!

"Do you Maaz Jafferi, son of Aryan Jaferi accepts Areesha Bakht the daughter of Ja..."

"Yes, I accept her, where do I have to sign," I said

"Maaz!"Nani ma scolded me,

"What? I am signing these papers, what else do I have to do?" I said totally annoyed, after the Nikkah everyone congratulated us as we both sat on the stage, but as I try to move to her, she backed away, I chuckled and lean closer to her, who closed her eyes tightly "Why are you scared?" I asked, she opened her eyes, "No, I am not scared," she said softly, "I bet you are and you should be," I said, just playing with her, she just look so sweet when she is scared, but I really don't have any intention to scare her furthermore, I hold her hand in mine and talked to one of my business associate, who congratulated us,

After the dinner, it was the time for Rukhsati and again Javed came to her and hugged her and started to cry over her shoulder, whispering something to her, I just couldn't take it anymore of this drama so I just left from there and stood next to my car, when Nani ma called me and told me she wanted to go back to New York as there was some emergency, I called my jet crew and asked them to prepare the jet in an hour, I cut the call when someone bumped into me, I turned around and saw Areesha, with a tear stained face, and Javed coming right behind her, I asked her what happened but she just cried harder clutching my suit jacket,

Now I am sure there is definitely something wrong between them, but what it could be, she is the only daughter of Javed, why she seems scared of him? Is there something I am missing?

I was thinking watching her, when reporters came and started to click pics and ask questions to us, I wrapped my arm around her waist and carefully make her sit in the car and when I settled in I motioned my driver to start the car, the whole ride went silently as her actions towards her father made me suspicious. Driver parked the car and I got down from it and went straight into the jet talking about the arrangement and details of the flight, asking them about the weather and safety precautions, my whole crew assured me that everything was under control, I turned around and saw Nani ma talking to Areesha and after bidding goodbye she entered the plane, giving me a kiss on my forehead,

"Be safe and take care of her!" she said, with a smile, I smiled back and hold her hands in mine,

"Have a safe flight and come back soon as possible," I said, she nodded and took a seat, I got down from the plane, "Allah Hafiz Nani ma," I said, she nodded as she was reciting some verses, I walked back where Areesha was standing and watched the plane till it took off, we both returned home quietly and I ordered my maid to take her to her room as I got a text from my lawyer telling me about the agreement with Malik industry, I smiled reading that text, so it's the time!

I walked into my home office and as expected, there was Zoya sitting on the sofa holding a glass of wine in her hand,

"Papa told me about the agreement, he is so happy to start this joint venture with you, come let's celebrate!" she said,

"Where is your bride?" she asked, but I ignored her and shrugged off the jacket and throw it on the chair,

"Just forget about her, let's celebrate it," I said, she grinned and took two glasses from the table and pour the wine,

"Maaz, can you get some ice? I totally forgot to bring it," she said, I nodded and stood up from my place and went to the mini fridge in a corner, my back was to her, I looked back at her from the corner of her my eyes and saw her pouring some kind of liquid into one of the glasses,

"Here you go," I said, handing her an ice bucket,

"We won't be needing it, I think," she said and pass the glass to me, and sat next to me holding my hand,

"So, when you are going to divorce her?" she asked, taking a sip from her glass,

"What?" I asked,

"Papa already told me, he will give me permission to marry you, on only one condition,"

"And what is that?" I asked her again,

"If you divorce her then my Papa will let me marry you," she replied,

"And if I don't divorce her then what?" I asked her again, she raised her eyebrow at me,

"You know my father very well Maaz, he won't ever allow me to marry you until you divorce this girl, don't you know how much it will benefit you if we get married," she said,

"Besides that, I love you beyond anything else, I just can't imagine living without you,"

"Why aren't you drinking?" she asked,

"Can you get me my phone? It's on the table," I said, she nodded and walked away, giving me time to throw the content of the glass on nearby plants, and filled it again with some more wine.

She returned and gave me my phone and again started to tell me or I should say annoy me by telling about her "FEELINGS" for me, while talking, she asked me if I was feeling fine, which made me suspicious again on her, so I just started my act of being drunk, after few seconds I closed my eyes, holding my head in my arms, "I will be back in a minute," she said and walked out, I carefully stood up and followed her,

She took out her phone, "You were right, he is drunk now, I mixed it in his drink, yeah, I know what to do next, trust me, he won't remember a thing in the morning and we will have what we wanted," she said, making me chuckle at her, how dumb she is!

She thinks it is that much easy to make me fool!

She cut the call and returned back to my office, "We should go to your room, you look so exhausted," she said,

"Yeah, let's go," I said, being aware of the cameras in my office, I just don't want my guards to know what I will be doing to her as I am sure they will show the recording to Nani ma, but there were no cameras in my room, so I can take her there, Zoya comes to me holding my jacket and helped me to stand, I dropped my hand over her shoulders and shifted my weight over her intentionally,

"Whoa! You are really heavy Maaz! You must have been working out so much lately, I can barely walk while holding you," she said, trying to walk making me smile, when we reached my room she opened it and I just cursed watching Areesha lying on the bed with her eyes closed and still in her wedding dress, watching her like this made my heart flip, she was looking so pure and beautiful under the lights of side lamps, her proclein skin was looking so soft and those beautiful brown long hairs were spread all over the pillow, she had just taken off her dupatta from her head and was lying on my bed.

Damn! Why she has to be here, I told my maid to take her away from here, I really don't want her witness what I wanted to do with Zoya, and I am sure Zoya will make a fuss in front of her and I just cant bear anything she say about Areesha, but just for once I have to this to her,

Damn it!

I move towards Areesha who was now standing next to the bed watching both of us with shock expressions, I have to start my act, but I really hate to hurt Areesha.

"Maaz, what's going on?" she asked, looking straight into my eyes, I just stared at her, holding a glass in my hand, "he don't want to talk to you girl, just get out of this room, we need to sleep," Zoya said,

"I think, he can speak for himself, so why don't you keep your mouth shut and let him speak, and by the way, I was talking to my husband, not you," she answered, making me proud of my girl! That's my girl! She watched me for a few minutes,

"How dare you say that to me? You gold-digger! I know what kind of girl you are! Just get out of here!"Zoya shouted in her high-pitched voice, making both of us flinch, "Enough!" I yelled, and gulp down the rest of the liquid in his glass and put it on the side table and move towards Areesha how dare Zoya said that to her! she will have to pay for it, but before that I have to send Areesha out of this room, but right now it was hard to send her out, as she was not showing any intention to go,

So, I am sorry Areesha what I am about to do now,

"Ahh... here she is! My beautiful wife! Or I should say my enemy's daughter!" I said, pulling her closer to me, she backed away looking scared in my arms.

"Look Zoya! I got his most precious thing," I said,

"Maaz, please don't do this," She pleaded as I caught her from her elbow and pulled her more closer to me,

"Look how scared she is, how badly she is shaking," I said, holding her in the arms of my circle, she tried to wriggle free but I tighten my grip on her,

"Don't waste your energy my love!" I said,

"What are you going to do with her Maaz?" Zoya asked, eyeing her up and down.

"Throw her away just like his father did to me," I said and pushed me out of the room and locked the door without glancing back at her, I know if I would see her I will not be able to control these weird emotions and feelings for her, I don't know how, but she is breaking my walls and I just can't let her do this, she will get herself hurt in the end, and most importantly I just can't betray Areesha, she is one and only love of my life.

I turned around and face that devil standing in front of me with a wicked smile on her lips,

"Wow! You have really thrown her out like that! You know she deserved it, I really didn't understand in first place, why you were marrying her, I had a doubt that you must be falling for her, but I am really happy how wrong I was, but one thing I still don't understand Maaz, her father is not as much wealthy as my father, then why you choose her over me, after our marriage, our families will be the one of the most richest families of the whole country, but you know how caring I am, so, I will wait for you till you divorce that gold digger, but you have to do that a bit early as you know I have few proposals for marriage as well,I have already told papa that I will only marry you," she said but I just carelessly sat on my chair and waited for a text from my security guard, and when I got it telling me that they have caught the guy, I stood up from my place and walked to her, with a evil smile,

Time to throw her out of my life now! I have got what I desired and now I don't have to hang around her anymore or tolerate her annoying behavior,

"So, why don't you just go marry one of them," I asked, she looked at me with shock expressions,

"What, you know I love you and you are asking me to marry someone else, are you insane?" she asked,

"Don't you know what we can achieve when we will be married," she said again,

"I don't have to marry you in order to gain what I wanted from your father's company, I got it already just because of you, your father signed an agreement today with my deputy general and now he will have to work harder than ever and I am the one who will earn the money from it , your father's company shares are mine now, he just wanted to have the deal with my marble industries but he should have read hose documents more carefully, he trusted me just because of you and signed those documents without reading them, so now in few weeks I will get your father's company," I said tapping her cheek, she looked totally astonished after hearing it,

"You... you used me! you used me to get your hands on our company! So all those promises and love was a lie! You lied to me!" she shouted and took a step back, I smirked,

"Yeah, I used you to get to your father, he thinks no one can ever defeat him so, I targeted his one and only child who he has a blind trust and just because of you, your father agreed to that deal, I offered to him, you were just a bait!" I said enjoying the situation,

"You, you... can't do this to me! I won't let you do this to us, you will ruin us!" she shouted again,

"You are the one who is going to stop me?" I asked laughing at her,

"Have you ever seen yourself once! How delusional you were to think that, I , Maaz Jafferi will ever fall in love with a girl like you," I said, she looked me with tear filled eyes,

"You can't do this to us Maaz! you know how much do I love you,! You ruined me! you ruined all of us! I wish I had never met a devil like you in my life, my father will not be able to bear his Maaz! please I beg you, don't do this to us, father has worked so hard to run this company, he will not take it easy, please Maaz! look, I am on my knees, begging you not to ruin my family," she said as tears rolled down her cheeks smudging her make up.

" I don't care, you should have thought about it before planning a conspiracy against me with your ex boyfriend, who, I might tell you, is now under my protection! So why don't you just get out of my house and never, I repeat never show me your face ever again, or else you know what I can do to you," I said and pushed her away from me, and opened the back door for her,

"Just get out of here, before I call my guards who will kick you out of here," I said but she didn't move,

"Get out!" I yelled,

She quickly stood up from her place and ran outside,

"I will get you for this Maaz!" she threatens, I laughed out loud,

"Look who is talking!" I said before closing the door and shook my head, I called my head of security ad order him to never Zoya enter my home again,

I cut the call and instantly move to the other door where Areesha was and opened it, but watching her sitting there in cold and sleeping in that uncomfortable position, melted my heart, I kneeled down beside her and hold her hand, she was freezing, I quickly picked her up in my arms and carefully laid her on the bed and covered her fragile form with the covers and sat beside her, watching her sleep, she looked so innocent while sleeping, that I couldn't stop myself to kiss her on her cheek, I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and whispered softly, "I am sorry what I did to you today," and again kissed her forehead and walked into the closet, after changing into some plain shirt and trouser,I climb up into the bed and pulled her closer to me, before drifting to sleep while holding her in my arms securely.
