Janet Rivera's POV

"How are you now? Did you get yourself checked?" I talked into the phone as I sat on the sofa. I winced a little due to the pain I felt in my lower region after last night. It was something unexpected and I feel so ashamed that I enjoyed it. Although, Nathan said that it was no big deal.

"I'm doing better and yes, I did go for check up. What about you? Is Nathan okay. I'm sorry for causing any trouble." She said as she sounded guilty.

"No, no you didn't do anything wrong, it was just in the heat of the moment. We were already having some problems and we let it take the best of us." I explained it to her as she hummed.

"So, what's the big deal with your aunt and everything?" Bella asked her voice close to whispering as if she didn't want anyone to hear.

"Not that good, but not to bad either." I told her. The bell rang and I already knew who it was. Walking towards the front door, I said my farewell to Bella and swung the door open. My father, who looked as if as if he hasn't slept in days faced me, his face soon lighten up.

"Are you all right father? Why do you look so weak?" He shook his head and walked in as I, soon followed behind him.

"We'll talk about that later but first, tell me where is Nathan?" He grabbed my shoulder and made me sit on the couch with him.

"He's in the room, he'll right here in a moment." I answered him as he took my hand in his rough and wrinkly ones.

"What exactly happened two day ago, why was I not informed?" I was about to speak but was cut off by Nathan's voice.

"Because you won't listen even if she did tell you." Nathan stood firmly with his arms crossed over his chest making him look intimidating.

"Janet tell him, what happened." My eyes shifted between them as I gulped and cleared my throat, dad's eyes waiting for my explanation.

"Aunt Sierra came for me and threatened me." I informed father without any hesitation. Father stared at me in disbelief and disappointment, no words coming out of him.

"Keep going Janet." Nathan encouraged me as I didn't know what father was feeling.

"She told me if I don't go with her, she will hurt Nathan. I had a bodyguard with me and he got injured."

He laughed as my eyes stared at him in disbelief. I was so confused as Nathan seemed angry with his fist clenched.

"You cannot be serious right now. Sierra was by my side, the whole day." My eyes widened as I couldn't believe that my dad was with this evil woman, the one who tortured me to the worst.

"I'm your daughter, how could you do this? What's wrong with you? She must have walked out from you, you should believe me!" I was furious as Nathan stepped towards me and just in a moment pulled my father from his collar.

"You are a fucking piece of shit, she just told you everything. You are making the same fucking mistake again, just like you didn't trust your wife. You ruined her life and blamed her for every fucking thing. In all this mess you ruined your daughter's life as well. Let me tell you this Sean, I will throw you behind bars along with your precious sister if anything happens to Janet." He threw father back, as he landed on the table with a thud. My father eyes were wide open as I went to his side to steady him while Nathan went over to Moms room. After a moment, he brought her outside with his hand clamped over her wrist, dragging her.

"Nathan, what are you doing?" She shrieked as Nathan made her stand near my dad.

"Did you cheat on your husband, when you both were married?" Nathan asked her making me stare up at him in confusion.

"What the he-"

"Just answer it!!" He scolded, his voice booming around the house.

"No," She whispered as she glanced at father who had a cold expression on his face.

"Did you ever stole money from him?" Nathan questioned.

"No," The same answer again.

"Where were you before and after Janet got kidnapped?" He asked again as he turned to face me, our eyes met and I felt butterflies. I knew what he was doing, and I didn't even want to stop him.

"Um- Before that, I told Sierra to take care of Janet while I went looking around for a job because apparently this man over here didn't send us any-" Mom stood tall and spoke but Dad soon interrupted her.

"I sent you money every month! Don't you fucking lie!" He yelled as he pointed a finger at her.

"Oh wow! Your sister must have stolen them then because I didn't receive any." Nathan did nothing to stop them, dad didn't speak after that as he thought to himself.

"And as I was saying, after that when I came back home. I couldn't find anyone at all, two days later I came to know the house I was living in was sold and I couldn't go there. I had a job but no house as I couldn't afford it while Janet was missing. I had nothing, I tried calling this piece of shit multiple times but his phone was off-" Mom had tears in her eyes as I couldn't control mine. I, frantically remember what actually happened.

"I called you too many times, that one day you stopped calling me. You knew I had a problem in buisness and my mother didn't like you so I couldn't take you there. You understood me and we decided to call one another any chance we get. But I couldn't reach you when Sierra told me that you didn't want to talk to me-" They kept cutting each other off and were literally shouted while Nathan did absolutely nothing about it.

"No!! I never did it. I couldn't reach you, and I was so sad and angry that you didn't love me anymore. Sierra told me another story, that you didn't want to be disturbed but I kept moving on and tried to be the best mother to Janet. The money stopped after that and then I lost Janet the next month while you enjoyed your days-"

"I didn't fucking enjoy my days! I lost my mother and Sierra came back to me, I had to keep the business going and when I finally came back to you, you were gone-" Father went silent after as if the puzzle was solving itself, his eyes were cold and his mouth twitched in distaste.

"I still don't understand, you could be fucking lying right now and brainwashed Janet-" I stepped forward and looked at my fathers eyes, those brown chocolate eyes that matches mine.

"Look at me father, am I lying? All those years of being kidnapped never seeing the outside world, being a naive stupid girl, getting tortured, straved, were all of those lies?" I sobbed as he visibly gulped and pulled my towards him, hugging me as I laid my head over his head, hearing his heartbeat made me relax.

"I want to believe you, I really do but-" I was snatched by mother as she suddenly pulled my shirt off making Nathan growl, he took a step towards me but mother stopped him as she raised her palm up.

"But what? You see her body, can you see those bruises?" Father eyed my back and stomach with pained expression and I wrapped arms around myself.

"Nathan turn away." He didn't need to tell twice as he did and mother took her shirt off, my eyes widened as I saw marks and they were fresh and bright all across her chest, stomach, shoulders and arms. It was terrifying, more terrifying than mine.

"I was raped and sold multiple times, was I living in luxury? Tell me Sean do you think I was happy or loving my life!!?? Tell me?" She hissed his name and punched his chest making me whimper. Father was breathing heavily as he didn't knew what to do. His eyes watered but he tried his best to control himself, he finally realized he was wrong in all this and the reality came crashing down on him.

"Seirra was there w- with me in New York and while you all were in California, how c- can it be?" Father questioned making me think harder.

"When I was about to get married with Nathan, she injected me with something making me sleep for at least 24 hours and thats why I couldn't know I was actually in New York." Father shook his head as he took the pieces and finally finished the puzzle.

"The house where I used to visit her, that mansion. Were you there?" He asked me and I thought of that horrfic mansion and nodded my head.

"Fuck!! I was so close to you and yet I couldn't do anything! Oh god, this all misunderstandings that made it mess up more." He cried and he hit the table multiple times. He grabbed mother and shook her body as he spoke to her in a voice that was dripping with guilt and sadness.

"I want to kiss you so badly and I want to bow down to you till you forgive me! How was I so stupid and-" He couldn't finish his words as a gasp came out of my mouth. Mother's hand flew right across his face as she hissed with such distaste and hatred.

"You will never ever touch me or look at me again. I spit on your apology, you ruined my life already what more you need?" She took her shirt and wore it and Nathan had covered me up with his jacket. Mother stormes up in her room and father stood there in shame. Nathan walked towards him and handed him his phone that fell during the fight.

"Call Seirra, we need to end this once and for all."

I am the worst, like really wrote this chapter so so late. Anyways I am about to flex my new editor! The chapters will be edited one by one and that's how I pay him. Hehehe 😈
