I
-Sunday, week 0-
"Let me out!"
My fists started hurting from the constant crashes against the big iron door, that was locking me in this dark and cold room.
Desperately I sat down on the ground and leaned my back against the blank wall. The wall was icecold and a shiver ran down my spine.
Where was I?
And why did this security guy lock me in here?
I had been told to be brought to my chairman, who would prepare me for the job, I had longed for so long. When I was little, I always wanted to get as powerful as a judge. You are able decide others fate, you are able to control.
Control was something I never had, it were my parents and friends who controlled me. I had been a puppet, following every command. But not anymore.
Or at least I had thought so, because at the moment I was feeling as trapped, as I had been in my family.
The lights were flickering weakly, but not as weak as my hopes had been, when I was at home.
That damn security guy just locked me in here, thinking he would get away with that, but he was wrong.
I will pay him back.
I will pay everyone back.
Everyone who destroyed my happiness.
When my eyes got used to the dark light, I was able to inspect the room, I was locked in.
It was a god damn cave, like they would lock animals in. My fingers glided over the strong bars, the cold let my fingertips burn.
Then, suddenly, I could see a little shadow hushing into a dark corner of the cave, and my eyes followed its shape.
Was this a human?
Filled with curiousity I converged to the corner, where the shadow had vanished.
"Hello? Is anybody there?"
No answer.
One more step and I would stand in complete darkness. I took a deep breath and put my foot on the ground. In the dark, I could not see the hands in front of my eyes, but I could hear well enough to recognize the heavy breathing that sounded through the room.
It lives.
My heart started racing like I was running a marathon and goosebumps spreaded on my skin. Not daring to make any sound I stepped forward another time, holding my breath.
My body tensed when the loud crack I had caused resounded in my ears.
Whatever is in that corner, it knows that I'm there.
Taking my foot carefully of the thing I had stepped on, I placed it next to it.
Curiously I bowed down to inspect, on what I had stepped and obviously cracked. My fingers glided softly over the ground until they touched something warm.
In confusion I groped for the strange object in front of me.
Gosh.
With a start I jumped back, as I had noticed, what I was touching.
That would explain the heat.
It wasn't an object, it was a freaking hand... of someone who pretty sure layed in front of me.
Frantically I stepped back, concentratedly staring at the hand on the floor. Then I turned around and was ready to run. If I hadn't got this bad feeling, I would've started running right away, but my instincts made me look back one last time.
Flabbergasted I noticed the empty floor.
The hand was gone.
