22. Unveiling the Mask

A/N - When I am giving you quick updates and willing give you 3-4 updates a week... You readers are not voting and commenting... Do you want only one chapter a week or two weeks... Because I don't see any reasons to write 3- 4k words for you guys... Only few of the readers comments in every chapter... And others don't even vote leave about comment. I am not even charging any money for the chapters, doing so much hardwork and thinking about the plot everytime I get time. It's really very demotivating... From what I will get the motivation? My exams are after one month, it's better I focus more on that because atleast I won't be disappointed then. Even after coming from college in this hot climate I was planning to write the next chapters trying to complete the book in two months and now I don't feel like... I am not happy when I giving quick update you are not voting. So now decide if what you want. I will give the next chapter when I will get good response, till then I will edit the previous chapters.

It had been almost two weeks since the award ceremony, and life had settled into a comfortable routine. Yet, there was something within me that wanted to surprise Armaan, many times he had cooked for me, took care of me and today I want show him how much I appreciated him. Cooking breakfast seemed like a simple task, but I soon realized it was far more complicated than I had imagined.

I stood in the kitchen, surrounded by a mess of flour, eggs, and burnt toast. The pancakes were either too burnt or too raw, the scrambled eggs a runny disaster. Still, I pressed on, determined to make something edible for Armaan.

When he walked into the kitchen, his eyes wide with surprise, I felt a mix of pride and embarrassment. "Eshana, what's going on here?" he asked, clearly shocked by the state of the kitchen.

I turned to him, my heart pounding. "I wanted to make breakfast for you. I know it's not perfect, but I wanted to do something special."

"You... you made all this?" Armaan's voice was filled with disbelief.

I nodded, feeling a little embarrassed. "Yes, I wanted to try. It's my first time."

He sat down at the table, looking at the spread of inedible food. I watched anxiously as Armaan took a bite of the pancakes. I could see him trying to hide his grimace.

"These are... interesting," he said, trying to be polite.

"Well," he said, chuckling softly, "I think it's safe to say that cooking isn't your strongest suit."

I felt a pang of embarrassment but was relieved to see the affection in his eyes as he reached for my hand. "But you know what? I'd rather eat this every day than spend a single meal without you," he continued.

His words, spoken with such sincerity, made me laugh despite myself . I swatted his arm playfully. "You're just saying that. You don't have to eat it if you don't like it, Armaan. I know it's a disaster," I said, feeling a little defeated.

He reached across the table and took my hand. "Eshana, it's not about the food. It's about the effort and the thought behind it. You did this for me, and that means more to me than anything."

"But it tastes awful," I said, laughing despite myself.

He shook his head, his smile widening. "No, even the worst meal tastes sweetest because you made it by your heart. " His gentle kiss on her forehead made my heart flutter, turning my embarrassment into warmth.

"And your effort worth every burnt pancake," he replied, kissing me back.

Later that day, the calmness of the morning vanished as soon as I stepped into the office. It was chaos. Someone had sabotaged the company, and everyone was working tirelessly to manage the crisis. My heart pounded with anxiety, but I couldn't let it show. I had to be strong, for everyone.

Armaan was by my side, a constant pillar of support. He coordinated with the IT department, legal team, and PR representatives, ensuring that every angle was covered. I admired his calm demeanor, even as I felt the weight of the situation pressing down on me.

"Eshana, we need to address the media soon," Armaan said, his voice steady and reassuring.

I nodded, my mind racing with strategies. "We'll have to prepare a statement. I won't let this bring us down."

"You're incredible, you know that?" Armaan said, his eyes filled with admiration.

I glanced at him, managing a tired smile. "I have to be. For the company, for all our hardwork. "

Author pov,

Eshana's office was a hive of frantic activity. The sabotage had sent shockwaves through the entire company, and the air was thick with urgency and tension. Employees hurriedly moved between desks, phones rang incessantly, and the glow of computer screens illuminated the faces of the dedicated team working tirelessly to manage the fallout.

Eshana stood at the center of it all, her expression a mixture of steely determination and weary exhaustion. Her mind raced with strategies and contingency plans as she fielded calls, issued directives, and reviewed reports. Despite the chaos, she maintained an aura of control, her leadership unshaken.

Armaan coordinated with the IT department, instructing them to trace the source of the breach and secure the company's data. He liaised with the legal team to prepare for any potential legal battles and worked closely with the PR representatives to manage the company's public image. His efficiency and calm demeanor were a stark contrast to the turmoil around them.

As the hours dragged on, Armaan's concern for Eshana grew. He could see the toll the crisis was taking on her, little dark circles under her eyes, the way her shoulders slumped slightly when she thought no one was looking. But her resolve never wavered.

"Armaan, any updates from IT?" Eshana asked, her voice steady but tinged with fatigue.

"They're close to identifying the source of the breach. It looks like an internal job," Armaan replied, his eyes never leaving her face. "We'll get to the bottom of this, Eshana. I promise."

Eshana nodded, a flicker of gratitude in her eyes. "We have to, Armaan. This company... it's everything I've worked for, this the last thing he had left for me.... ."

Eshana didn't realised what she said, and Armaan stared at her for few seconds,

"And we won't let anyone take it from you," Armaan said firmly. "I'm here with you, every step of the way."

Despite the chaos, he took a moment to place a reassuring hand on her shoulder. The touch was brief, but it conveyed a depth of support and solidarity that words couldn't fully capture.

Hours turned into a blur of meetings and crisis management. Armaan's presence was a constant source of comfort, his calm and composed demeanor helping to steady Eshana's frayed nerves. She knew she could rely on him, and that knowledge gave her the strength to keep pushing forward.
As the night stretched on, the office hummed with urgency. Eshana's normally bustling workspace was now a hub of frenetic activity as her team worked tirelessly to contain the aftermath of the sabotage. Reports were analyzed, calls were made, and strategies were discussed in hurried whispers.

Eshana's determination kept her upright, even as weariness threatened to overtake her. She reviewed document after document, her mind sharp despite the physical toll. The weight of responsibility bore down on her shoulders, visible in the lines etched on her face.

Armaan moved through the office like a shadow, silently coordinating with departments, offering reassurance where needed, and ensuring that every detail was being handled with precision. His eyes, though focused on the task at hand, often strayed to Eshana. He couldn't help but marvel at her resilience and strength, even in the face of adversity.

As the night deepened, Eshana's movements slowed imperceptibly. Her eyelids drooped, and eventually, her head bowed forward, resting on her folded arms atop the desk. The rhythmic tap of keys and muted voices provided a backdrop to the stillness that enveloped her.

Armaan noticed the change immediately. His concern for her grew palpable as he approached quietly, his steps soft against the carpeted floor. He paused beside her desk, taking in the sight of her asleep.

"Eshana?" Armaan called softly, the her sleeping position can give her neck pain.

She stirred slightly, but did not wake. Armaan reached out, gently lifting her head from its uncomfortable position.

"You need to rest properly." He whispered to himself.

He fetched a soft pillow from a nearby couch and returned to place it beneath her head with utmost tenderness. Adjusting her chair slightly, he ensured she was in a more comfortable sleeping position, shielding her from the draft with a light blanket he found nearby.

"Keep an eye on things here." Armaan said Kanisha as he saw her entering the cabin.

"Kanisha, make sure no one disturbs Eshana," he instructed. "She needs to rest."

Kanisha nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Of course, sir."

He lingered for a moment longer, watching over Eshana with a mixture of admiration and worry. Satisfied that she was settled, he quietly moved away, leaving her to rest amidst the controlled chaos of their nighttime office.

Soon completing his work, he left the cabin.

Armaan drove through the dimly lit streets to a discreet hotel on the outskirts of the city. The atmosphere was heavy with anticipation as he pulled into the parking lot and made his way to a private suite. He took a deep breath before entering, preparing himself for the confrontation ahead.

Inside the suite, Mr. Raghuvanshi, the chairman of Raghuvanshi Singh Industries, was pacing the room, his face a mask of impatience. Seated nearby was Aadhya Singh Raghuvanshi, her expression tense and focused.

"You're late," Mr. Raghuvanshi remarked .

Armaan ignored the jab, closing the door behind him. "Traffic," he said curtly, his eyes scanning the room before settling on Aadhya. "Let's get to the point."

Aadhya leaned forward, her eyes meeting his with a mix of determination and concern. " We need to discuss your plan. What you're doing... it's dangerous."

Armaan's jaw tightened. "I know what I'm doing, Aadhya. This is the only way to make things right."

Mr. Raghuvanshi folded his arms, watching the exchange with a keen interest. "And what exactly is your plan, Armaan ? How do you intend to destroy Nihira? Someone is helping her, it can blow your cover. "

Armaan took a deep breath, his mind flashing back to the events of five years ago. "Eshana's company had been constantly targeted by her family and their sins. They tried to kill Ishaan and framed Aadhya for it. Eshana's parents are ruthless, and they need to be stopped sooner. "

Aadhya's eyes softened slightly. "But Eshana... she doesn't know. She thinks I'm responsible for the accident."

Armaan nodded, his expression hardening. "Yes. And I thought she was in on it. I thought she supported her parents in their quest for power and wealth. That's why I wanted to destroy her, her company, everything she built."

"But?" Mr. Raghuvanshi prompted, sensing there was more.

Armaan's gaze dropped to the floor, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I fell in love with her. Loving her is the best decision I've ever made, and it's one I'll make every day for the rest of my life."

Aadhya's eyes widened in surprise. "You love her? You never told me. I thought you were guilty. After everything, she will hate us, bhai sa. Also, this marriage is fake. You are not a common man, a mere secretary; you are the Crowned Prince of Rajasthan. When she finds out about your true identity, she will not forgive you."

Armaan looked up, his eyes filled with a mix of pain and determination. "Yes, I know. I regret my decision, but even after everything, I fell for her. Then, when I got to know the truth that she was never at fault, I couldn't leave her to face everything alone."

He paused, his jaw tightening with resolve. "And now, I need to protect her. I won't let anyone harm her-not even her parents. She doesn't deserve to suffer for their sins. I need to find a way to expose her parents and everyone who was involved."

Aadhya's expression softened slightly. "But how will you do that without revealing who you really are? And what if she can't forgive you for deceiving her?"

Armaan's gaze was unyielding. "I'll find a way. I have to. For her sake, and for the sake of our future. She deserves the truth, even if it means she might hate me. I will make sure the people who tried to destroy her life pay for their actions. And I'll do everything in my power to earn her forgiveness and trust again."

Aadhya sighed, worry etched across her face. "Just be careful, bhai sa. You're walking a dangerous path."

Armaan nodded. "I know. I am glad that day I saw her six years ago . And loving her is the best decision I've ever made, and it's one I'll make every day for the rest of my life."

" And there's nothing I wouldn't do for her, . If I could, I'd bring the world to her feet, move mountains, and cross oceans just to see her smile."

Mr. Raghuvanshi sighed, rubbing his temples. "This is a mess, Armaan. But if you truly love her, then you need to be honest with her."

Armaan shook his head. "Not yet. If she finds out now, she won't believe my intention, I am waiting for Ishaan to wake up, then I'll tell her everything. After that we will take them down and make everyone pay ."

Aadhya stood up, her expression resolute. "I'll help you, Armaan. Ishaan deserves justice, and Eshana Bhabhi deserves to know the truth."

Armaan nodded, grateful for her support. "Thank you, Aadhya. Together, we'll bring everyone to justice and protect Eshana from their schemes."

Mr. Raghuvanshi stepped forward, his expression serious, and placed a reassuring hand on Armaan's shoulder. "We'll stand by you, Armaan. But be careful. This path is fraught with danger, and the consequences could be severe."

Armaan met his cousin's gaze, his resolve unshaken despite the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. "I know. But for Eshana, for Ishaan, for all of us, it's a risk worth taking. I am thankful to you, bhai. You've been taking care of everything for a long time."

Mr. Raghuvanshi nodded solemnly. "Armaan, it's my duty. But you handle the business, our people, and even fulfill your duties as a secretary and husband. Ranasa and Ranisa are proud of you."

Armaan's expression softened with gratitude, touched by his cousin's support. "Thank you, bhai. I won't let you down. I will protect Eshana and make things right."

With a nod of agreement, Mr. Raghuvanshi squeezed Armaan's shoulder before stepping back, his gaze reflecting both concern and determination. They both knew the challenges ahead would test their resolve, but their shared commitment to justice and protecting their loved ones fortified their spirits.

Aadhya furrowed her brow, contemplating for a moment before finally asking, "Wait, you met her six years ago? But I thought you only started looking into her after the accident. Eshana never met any of our family members, and she thinks Devansh bhai sa is my only brother," Aadhya said, her voice tinged with confusion and curiosity.

Armaan sighed softly, memories stirring within him. "I did meet her six years ago, Aadhya. It was before everything changed," he admitted quietly, his gaze drifting as he recalled that fateful day.

Aadhya's eyes widened slightly in realization. "So, you've known her for that long? Why didn't you say anything before?" she asked, her tone now a mix of surprise and concern.

"I didn't realize why I was feeling all that strange emotions after I saw her ," Armaan explained, his voice tinged with regret. "Back then, it was just a fleeting encounter, but it left a lasting impression on me and I couldn't stop myself from thinking about her....."

Aadhya nodded slowly, absorbing his words. " I want to know everything bhai sa. " she probed gently, sensing there was more to the story.

Armaan met her gaze squarely.

As the night wore on, exhaustion began to creep in like a heavy fog settling over my mind and body. Each passing hour seemed to weigh me down further, my determination to stay alert waning against the relentless demands of the crisis unfolding around me. Yet, I refused to yield, my focus set on managing the turmoil gripping my company.

But eventually, my body betrayed me. Unbeknownst to me, I succumbed to sleep, my head finding an unwitting resting place on my folded arms at the desk.

When I awoke, disoriented and groggy, I found myself surprised. A soft pillow cradled my head, and my chair had been adjusted for comfort. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, I scanned the room and saw only Kanisha, my assistant, quietly doing about her duties.

Then, I recalled hearing his voice, low and reassuring. "Make sure no one disturbs her," he had instructed gently. "She needs this rest."

In that moment, the realization washed over me like a gentle wave-the care he had shown in his quiet actions spoke volumes. It wasn't just about ensuring I was physically comfortable; it was about his unwavering support, his concern for my well-being amidst the chaos. His gesture, so simple yet so profound, filled me with warmth and a deep sense of security.
