XXXII
Yeah, a note at the start of this chapter! Bonkers!
Aquarius014 says she lies the book! Wow! So here's a special shout-out! I mean...she binged the book in two as a half days. ⊙_⊙
It took me 4 days to complete all 3 seasons of MHA...she fast. So, let's hope I don't mess this up. Cause you're either gonna be confused or hate this chapter.
Mostly the latter.... (°ロ°٥)
Third Person POV:
Micheal dragged Lucifer inside, his body leaving a trail of dirt being run over as he slapped his bum down the side of the entrance as he took his necklace out again.
He still couldn't make sense of it....
He glossed the back side of his palm over his stubble of a beard while he held the necklace over his left palm.
" Hope...." He mumbled.
Lucifer still hadn't woken up. He was stuck in a parallax of visions, painful and hopeful, cursed and blessed, spoiling and nurturing.
But it implied one thing over and over.
Micheal's death.
Hours later, he woke up and saw tears parting his irises as Lucifer saw Lucy wiping his hands.
His palms took movement as he clutched hers as he grasped it tight.
Lucifer's POV:
" I'm your guard angel. Nothing more, nothing less. No love involved. No feelings needed. I just need you to live. " A thought ran around.
" Lucy?" She looked at me, her eyes shining a different shade of gold.
Almost rusted.....brown even, from the one I lost to pain many times. How long has it been since I felt this way? Weeks? How long since I heard your voice? God, it's bliss.
" I love you." What am I saying?
No.
This isn't what love is.
This....isnt....love....
Stop.
Stop before someone gets hurt.....
I can't kill someone else.......
Kill me......
No one needs to get hurt......
Please.
" You love me?"
She wiped the tears off my face. She was turning red. Blushing, if I did my research correct.
And it seems I had assaulted her within the first few hours of her taking to me. I feel like I should die.
But...
That smile.
It's worth it.
That dimple on her right cheek, a small scar on the nose, the tiny chipped part of her incisor and her eyebrows being mishandled when she was young.
I see it now...
It's why...
I still stand strong. Micheal, I'll free you. With these two hands. Even if the future is blurred, I know the fight is near.
I pulled her close, our foreheads in contact.
" To the very end of me, " I vowed.
" I swear I'll protect you."
" That's a grim way to put it!" She chuckled.
" No matter the cost."
Third Person POV:
Lucifer had spent days, weeks within a spiralling tunnel of visions and such.
Good and bad ones mixed in....
Glimpses of the future, either of the past.
A buttered chilli. Bittersweet. Sour and hot sauce.
An oxymoron, for the better known people.
But he knew what he had to do. He let the edges of his fingers ride the wavy sea of her auburn hai-
It was auburn...
It wasn't her usual blonde, he realised. He shrank back a bit as he started to pick up more signs that this wasn't real.
She was a bit taller, more bust, no signs of Micheal or Hope.
His phantom plane didn't work. His wings didn't. He was...strangely, human. For the most part.
He instinctively put his hands over his chest, hovering just high enough when he felt it.
*thump-thump
His heart was beating! It was motherflippin breathing! Holy crud!
And it seems I can't curse here...flup.
Lucy grabbed his hands and kept it in place, her eyes, glowing embers.
A voice spoke. An all to familiar one.
" Come to terms, Lu. You love her "
Saku.
This was a emulation. A simulation of plans. Done by his own mind, the offspring of his powers and his own soul, or whatever he had.
But it was soaked in his face when the next words followed.
A shrill, bone chilling whisper which would probably induce nightmares implying one word.
" Deceive. "
Almost an order.
He looked back into those eyes, realization dawning on him.
" Oh I love you, Wing."
The figure facing him smiled as a silky, yet static voice reassured him.
" Not as much as your girl." The girl before him de-materialised into Saku/Wing as the world faded off.
Lucifer opened his eyes once again, seeing his body in a very special massage therapy with grime and dirt as he dusted himself off.
" You sure about this? Saku?"
He felt that it was obvious for reasons unbeknown.
He took a walk inside to see Micheal acting strange. He was happy. Weird for an old timer....
" Uh..what's gotten into you?"
The archangel shook his head.
" So...anyways... We might need to leave. She didn't tell her mother and we've been our for more than an entire day...considering what she thought I might have done to her daughter.....the cops might be waiting back home."
And that was the best that his mind came up with.
Nothing too far fetched.
Lucifer decided to do a bit of a maneuver by flying her back home.
" This is....safe, right?" Asked a concerned Lucy.
She put a leg on his hand and then another as he carried her like a princess.
He didn't reply.....
" Saku " He uttered, flooding the background with a wave of colours.
He looked at Micheal with a maniacal look, to which he narrowed his eyes, trying to crack the trouble he was going to cause him.
" Reset." He mouthed insolently in silence.
" Lucifer no..."
" What is he playing at?" His mind raced. But Hope didn't notice this and waved them a warm smile.
Lucifer channeled a new power he found out to be a good time to test as electricity cackled over his body as it arced over the sides of Lucy's figure.
" A̴̢͒̎ak̵̢͙̠̞̙̥̲̼̝̻̫̍̃͑͒̑̈́r̴̡̢͍̻͕̰̜͈̮̱͇̖̆̀̅͋͋̓̿̽̀̍͝ͅa̸̧̨̟̟͓̠̪̠̖͉̘͋̊̃̏̌̕͜må̵̢͎̼͇͕̮͕͚͇̋̈͜n "
(Translates roughly to "Thrust" in Hindi)
Cracks blistered into existence on the dermis of his face as a small sonic boom threw him hundreds of feet into the air, Wing in the most streamlined form it could adapt to.
" I'm sorry Lucy. But this is the only way you're gonna be safe....." Lucifer looked at her elated and brilliant eyes with an amazing smile.
" I'm scared to lose you..."

Third Person POV:
Lucy rolled out of bed, slamming her head against the hardwood floor, screaming in pain first thing and then yelling again at the sight of blood dripping out her nose.
" MOM!!! IM BLEEDING!" Yelled the girl.
Her father rushed into the room, panic on his face as he handed her cotton balls but decided to stuff it in himself.
He didn't trust his daughter...
She was made to lean back as Lucy felt her head feel lighter and a bit blurred.
" I love you..." A voice was heard.
Flash cards of something seemed to soar past her eyes.
" I FREAKING LOVE THIS!" She remembered her voice, small remembrance of something important.
Flying in the arms of someone...
Who? She couldn't remember...
Why? She didn't know...
But it felt real.
The visions came like a flip book.
The white haired man smiled once, throwing her into the skies above the clouds as him being the only thing she saw.
She fell back down, breaking through the clouds as she split into the city heights.
He swerved back down, his wing like thing exposing colours and new found abstract art.
He caught her and held her close, her heart beating as fast as it probably could.
" I love you." She heard something say.
And then came the shattered dream.
His eyes, devoid of life.
His body cracking up. His eyes turning black, like a plague.
Him uttering something.
Her fall...
His cold eyes digging into her scared ones, and him lifting his hand while the lightning came down.
He was the Devil...
Lucy leaned herself back up. She felt...felt like...something was missing...someone...
But she didn't know whom.
She put her hands to her temples as she shook her head a couple times.
" Give me a name." It seemed really important.
Real important. Almost if someone's life depended on it.
But she only remembered his eyes and his blurry muscles.
She focused mainly on that.
" Tell me..." She seemed desperate.
Tears rolled down her cheeks, hydrating the wooden ground, much to the surprise of her father.
" Should I leave her alone?"
" Lucy, dear?"
" Leave me alone"
" She seems upset"
" About the cotton..."
" Thanks. Now get out."
He said no more. He left the room, with a small, "Love you."
Lucy couldn't stop the feeling but she was still crying for reasons unknown to her.
She wiped it off, yet it came down again.
" tell me your name."
" tell me your goddamned name..."
She broke down, sobs turning into whimpers, which changed quickly into wails of silence. She clawed on her bed, stumbling upon her brother's shirt.
It was torn. Recently worn. It smelled of ashes...
Later down the day, she collapsed on her bed while her mother came and covered her in a thin blanket.
" This is for your good, dear." Rebecca looked out the windowsill, eyeing the man who said he was there to save her.
He looked broken, seeing her.
Rebecca smiled as she had a non-shower thought.
" At least save her without her crying..." She kissed her daughter's cheeks.
Lucifer summoned Wing as he had a destination in mind.
" To Hell..."
