XIII
The blade came dangerously close to slitting her throat and decapitating her when a another boom, this time more screeching and more deep was heard.
The next thing Lucy knew, she was on the ground and Micheal was bleeding from his elbow.
A force field dissipated into thin air as Micheal had his blade wedged in his arm, halfway down and nearly making him cut his face off.
Lucy was shivering as Lucifer showed no signs of waking up soon.
"Lu.." She muttered as Micheal shuddered suddenly, his eyes went back from dark to light as he smiled.
"Thank you, fate" He said, as he lowered the blade and made it into nothingness.
He was glad that something blocked his way from being sinned but what blocked him was a thing for another day.
"Sorry. I acted out of instinct. I'm an Angel. Micheal." He bowed his head as he asked.
"Who are you?" He hesitated a moment before lending his full hand to her.
"How can she move? She's not an Angel or anything celestial."
Lucy took his in jet's with a concerned look.
"Lucy." She thought how odd it was the change of mood in that space in moments. But she forgot about it when she say Lucifer stirring.
"Luci!" She gasped as she rushed to him, after forgetting all about him.
"L-Lucy...." He groaned as he opened his eyes as she hugged him, her skin nearly blistering from the heat his body emanated.
She winced again as she hugged him tighter as Lucifer opened his mouth to say something.
"W-what ha-happened?" He put his wrist to the side of his chin as he titled his head forcefully.
"You failed. You're not ready to revieve the gifts you possess." Micheal nodded his head as he looked at Lucy with a stern look on his face.
"How did she move?" He asked himself as he ran his mind back and forth, racking it for something a clue.
"Well, no sh*t" Lucifer said as soon as his body recovered enough for him to speak properly as he had Lucy's hand in his.
"Don't worry. It's nothing new." He lied.
No other Angel that he knows had this issue. This can't be called a glitch. This was proof that the new Angel was harbouring way more power than he can possibly control.
"Give it some time. Especially exercise a lot. Get your body enough in shape to make sure you can withstand the roar of power." He stared to say as he looked concerned.
"Is he something He is trying to form?" He asked his own heart.
He placed a hand over his bleeding wrist which hadn't stopped bleeding as Lucy walked upto him.
"Are you okay? You seem, kinda bleeding" Micheal felt a bit confused.
How long has it been since he bled? He was supposed to be immortal, compared to the other Angels.
The war that happened at the dawn of the new ages had caused HIM to give him the fruit of immortality due to the effects of the labours he did.
He looked at his injured arm as he sighed. He concentrated on the life around him.
The air hummed with energy as the bleed ran back it's course as the wound sealed itself as Micheal looked a bit in pain.
But it was bliss. To feel like you're living.
The only connection he had to this world and being with the feeling of being actually alive was pain and his family.
Oh yeah, just because he was an Angel doesn't mean he can't break the rules here and there.
He had a family consisting of a loving wife.
Don't tell anyone. It's a secret.
But one thing still made him lose his balance.
"Hey Jumper. Is she the ONE?" The second half of his message was silence but he understood.
"The Jumper has a name."
"It's Lucifer." Lucy intruded.
The awkwardness felt that moment was way too weird.
[A/N: As far as my knowledge goes, Micheal was the one who won the war against Satan and the other fallen Angels. So you can guess how it could have felt.]
Let's hope my updating is consistent this time.... @_@
