1: Red Tulip
"The MEANING of tulips is generally perfect love . Like many flowers, different colors of tulips also often carry their own significance. Red tulips are most strongly associated with true love"
---
TULIP SUMMERS stood infront of the feild of flowers. It was like a beautiful dream - endless colours and space lay before her. Peacful and serene. Strips of oddly coloured and shaped flowers swayed in the afternoon breeze. Every flower had it's own meaning - each one Tulip knew off by heart.
Baby breaths were clustered close to the trees - all of it one big mix of patched colours. Tulip quickly turned her gaze from the lovely feild to the middle aged man beside her.
ZINNA SUMMERS, her father, stood proudly beside her - taking in the veiw of his well taimed garden and buisness. It was his job - family owned buisness with many trustworthy employees. Flower Delights was the ongoing talk of the town - easy to get a job with the ever growing buisness. Flowers were a big thing as everyone was either getting married - passing or they needed to make up with someone or show love. And people in the town don't just do it on Valentines day.
Everyday after work, husbands and wives bring back their partners bouquets.
Some people buy the fresh flowers for decoration of their home.
And a lot of people go there to see Tulip. Some admires and some loving her sales pitches. A lot of young teens are hired there for their first jobs - any ages.
But none of them could get a higher rank than anyone with the last name Summers. Each Summer child owned the company. There wasn't ONE boss. There was a family.
And now there were FIVE bosses.
ZINNA SUMMERS the father.
ANTHOS SUMMERS the grandfather.
ASTER SUMMERS the first born son.
TULIP SUMMERS the first born daughter.
And
ROSE SUMMERS named after their deseased mother.
Tulip never felt more happy than standing beside her father - looking out at their legacy.
Tulip and her siblings mother passed away when Rose was born - pregnancy problems. The family have come to terms with her passing - her only wish "keep the shop running - bring flowers into this world" the womans words were not ignored.
"Tulip!" Tulip turned, auburn hair swishing past her shoulders, smiling. One of the boys - going through an internship, Cash - walked up to her blushing. "Am I going to be working in the shop with you any time soon?" He asked, his freckled cheeks flaming.
"Unfortunately no Cash." Tulip continued to smile. "Mr Summers still hasn't got enough hands out here."
"Oh - okay." He blushed, shuffling on his feet.
"Cash get down here!" Another employee called out waving Cash over. "I need to go - don't miss me?" Tulip just smiled - waving.
"So when can you have the flowers on the list supplied?" Tulip turned to her father, whom had been standing there the whole time.
"Three days?" He questioned, staring down at a clipboard. "Someone's been stealing the yellow roses - and the babies breath." He frowned - staring at the red scrawls. "We have three weddings coming up - talk of a fourth. We need the babies breath."
"I know dad, I spoke with the police and they're looking into it - after I called in a few favours and handed out some fowers." Tulip said.
"Maria quit the other day to have her baby, we need someone in the shop - none of these guys are qualified." Dad gnawed on his lip.
"I'll put a notice up." Tulip hugged her dad quickly. "Bye dad - see you tonight - I'm planning on making chicken."
"You spoil me." Her father laughed, pressing a kiss to his daughters forehead. "See you tonight my little flower."
Tulip smiled, climbing into her small green car, flower seat covers and prints covered the interior. She loved her car and its interior.
"Bye Tulip!" A few people waved, turning away from de-weeding and planting.
"Bye Miss Summers." Tulip smiled - her life was a series of amazing events - even if they were unfortunate - they always had a beautiful outcome.
