Asked the doctor with her voice seeding in a low tone, and shivaay who was sitting right near annika's face looked at her in keen.

A- ji ,

With no other go, annika agreed to attend the function.

P- you're such a waste annika! Arey , the food menu will be so good in receptions you should be thinking about that ,but here, you're sitting and ranting for nothing .

The pillow she threw straightly hit annika's head , she frowned.

A- haan, delicious food will be there I know ,but I don't want to go . You  don't know about my chachi.

She spoke after wetting her lips and preethi smiled ,shaking her head .

P- don't worry, we'll go there , wish your sister ,present her the ring , we'll eat and then return home at once bas! No need to meet  your chachi , alright?

Annika watched her enthusiastic friend showing thumbs up with all her 32 teeth visible  as she has got ready for a nice feast . Annika just let a nod ,

It was half past 4 when preethi's mother came to their room after knowing that they both are leaving to the function.

" preethi beta , you know right ? The registration process to buy that land is fixed for tomorrow. I need you to go to the bank and withdraw the money . Your papa is not feeling well, that's why I'm asking you . Registration kal morning hi hai"

P- what happened to papa ?

" he's feeling ill because of low BP ,don't worry he'll be fine . Arjun had deposited the money already, he just called me now"

P- teek hai maa , give me the check .

" keep the money safe haan, don't be late"

P- ji.

Before the bank could be closed ,they managed to go there and withdraw the money after which both headed to the venue and it took nearly past an hour to reach there .

Attending the function, they set out from the venue ,seeking a taxi and finally found one  .

A- we took a ta... taxi , aur phir ....! aur phir ,

She started palpitating and shook her head on either sides for the doctor to mutter few fine words to make her normal and shivaay who felt no good watching her like that tried holding her hand but she wriggled off .

' Annika ,I know you can . Just tell us ,we're here to help you. What happened after that? '

A- nahi nahi , preethi ! nahi .

Her squeezed eyes mentioned that she was struggling with her thoughts ,and shivaay immediately signalled the doctor to not trouble her as for now .

' I think she's reviving , she might behave aggressively, kindly be calm with her '

He just nodded and ,looked back at annika who seemed disturbed much.

Scrooching her eyes tight for a second she opened them at once . Scanning the surrounding ,she held her head and noticed shivaay there, who looked so worried .

A- ka..kahan hoon mein?

She blinked hard to go easy with the sudden light ,

S- annika relax , you're in the hospital . You're fine ,just be calm .

Witnessing some wire buttons stuck on her skin she hurried to stand but stumbled to balance herself.

A- why am I here ? What's all this ?

She asked glaring at him and he tried to get close to her. He  shook  his head to assure that everything was fine .

S- annika , don't panic , just be calm .

She stumbled to stand properly and he immediately held her shoulders for her to push him at once ,distaching those wires .

A- you ! You stopped me right ? You did it ,if you hadn't come ....I , I would have ....! Why did you do this? For you , everything is just a case right ? You want evidence, you want a person to surrender and go through the punishment! Isliye ye sab kar rahe hai na aap ?

She blamed him pointing the wires, and he shook his head ,behaving too slow in moving close to her that she doesn't get hyped .

S- trust me annika ,I'm just trying to help you . I want to help you out of this ,trust me .

His steadily calm assuring words didn't enter her mind and she continued wriggling when he caught hold of her .

A-no ! I don't need anyone's help . I don't !

She shouted crushing his collar . He had never witnessed her in such dejection, it was certainly more painful for him to see her like this . And suddenly he noticed her  staring at his uniform plainly before she just pushed him with a jolt that he hit the wall back straight.

A- you can't help me , no .

Venting out at him ,she stood numb .

Soon her eyes watered down that she merely knew she was crying now. Facepalming herself, she cried hysterically and he turned aside ,just not being able to see her state  . She seemed so hurt and weak for him to go worried more .

His wet eyes delivered how much she affects him .

A combustive stare prolonged in her face which was still wettened all over , she looked fierce yet broken. Moving her sight from nothing till him ,she bit her lips and shook her head . She felt guilty for shouting at him ,for he has done no wrong and she knew it .

Folding her fists together she walked near him ,

A- I'm sorry ..., I

Before she could make it upto him ,her feet stumbled badly and she just felt loosing herself to the floor not realizing that he was already there to save her .

She looked a curved arch in his arms as he had caught her waist before she could end up down . All she did was , a stare .

A perfect clean stare , that he could fall numb drowning in her . Her eye lids were so into closing ,but she didn't give up rather kept looking into his eyes which held more of emotions in them .

Once again she admired his eyes which was reflected in that weak smile of her's and soon ,she fainted.

S- so what do you think Dr ?

Dr- I'm not sure about this but something has really affected her much orelse she wouldn't have acted so vulnerable. And she's still struggling to fight with her past ,

S - and what about the incident  of which I told you?  She was certainly speaking ,facing the wall mentioning her papa . What was that ?

He questioned being baffled and the Dr thought for a few seconds before replying .

Dr- hallucuantions ,the  first step of depression .

His eyes grew extremely wide listening to her ,

S- what are you saying Dr ?

Dr - as I have told you already ,we couldn't come to a conclusion until we know everything about her . She might be hallucinating things , which she thinks is real because she wants it to be real from heart . I need to conduct another session so that  I could get a clear statement for you .

S-  but Dr ...she'll be fine right . I mean is it something very serious with her ...

He asked with an unknown fear engulfing him ,

Dr - with proper treatments, she'll do good ,don't worry about that . But she has to try from within to overcome her past ,and start living for today . That's entirely upto her , and if she doesn't do so....things might get complicated .

The Dr's last few words hit a pang in him,

Dr - don't mind me asking you this , you are the shivaay about whom she  mentioned  right ?

He let a nod and after a long pause , the Dr spoke.

Dr- She needs you .

His eyes slowly traveled on nothing particularly as he was lost in his own thoughts, listening to her .

S- hello ,yes Ramya ?

R- sir , they're asking for annika. She has escaped and tried to kill the Minister , we need to surrender her here ,it's  our higher official's order.

He thought for a moment and then spoke,

S- ok listen to me Ramya , annika will be put in her cell . But ....but ,I need no case of using third degree on her  . Even if pressurised by officers , no third degree treatment ! Did you get me very clear Ramya ?

His voice  seemed very particular and determined , that Ramya couldn't disagree.

R- ok sir .

That night seemed too long  for him . He returned home after making sure that she was fine in her cell . The Dr's words haunted him . She's going through so much all her own and he could do nothing about it . He must know the entire truth first , because now he was very certain that she's innocent. He damn wanted to help her , but it is impossible without her cooperation.

He was determinant to somehow know the truth and get her released. 

' I have none....but you '

He remembered her statement ,

S- you aren't alone annika ,
