Some chapters may not have shivika content ,sorry for that but it is needed for the plot to proceed. But I promise to give a more of shivika once the story gears up.

Dr- tho , why did you come to Mumbai ?

Her reaction changed at once ,

A- shivaay ,( she whispered )

Her lips were engaged in curving up to present a pleasant smile as she said his name . This sudden change in her face was clearly noticed by him. Gradually he smiled too, obvious reasons...he felt great for being the reason behind her smile, how delicately serene his name sounded . She has called his name for the first time !

Flashback ( a month until current  day)

Pinky liked annika very much as she knew that annika is the right girl for her son. So when annika's parents hesitated with the reason that they aren't as strong as them financially ,she just genuinely convinced them that it merely matters as all she cared was only annika.

At one point, even her parents agreed , true that they were happy for their daughter .

" annika , we are happy with this decision but still it's upto you know because I don't want to force you. Here's the photo of pinkyji's son, take some time and think about it ,hmm? "

Handling the envelop to her ,annika's mother spoke caressing her hair .

A- you don't have to ask this maa. I'm sure, whatever you decide will be the best for me .

She answered with a smile and her mother couldn't get more happier . Indeed ,annika was brought up like that .Being the elder daughter of the family, she behaved so responsible be it from a very small thing to the biggest decisions. She accepted everything as it is ,and merely complained . But that doesn't mean that she was dominated by her parents , she parted the right and wrong in the way they taught her ,to come up with decisions.

" aise kaise ? If only you like him too, we'll proceed "

Her mother planted her kiss on her forehead and left after which annika came to her room flapping the envelope in her hand.

As soon as she entered inside ,she closed the door. Dropping herself on the bed ,she opened it excitedly. She was about to pull it out when someone grabbed the cover from her .

She watched preethi and her sister kiara to be standing with a sheepish smile ,as kiara held the envelop hidden behind.

A- keethu ,give it to me .

She jumped to get it from her seeing which both looked at each other and smiled .

K- kya jiji? When you are so desperate, why you had to pretend all those dialogues to Maa ? Haan!

Both giggled making annika steam in rage ,

A- preethi , bol na usse !

P- mein kya bolungi? It's upto you and your sister ,I don't know.

She shrugged her shoulders when kiara frowned .

K- arey jiji, it was your friend who gave this idea of snatching it from you . She's acting ,

She complained and annika shot continuous daggers on her dear friend who gulped deep.

P- hey kiara , aren't we a team ?

She asked with a puppy face and kiara just nodded ,

K- haan vo tho hai ham . But you thought of escaping first ,

A- ok bass , keethu ...photo de muje. Haven't you got your exams tomorrow ? Go and study ,jao .

K- it's just a unit test jiji ,if I sit and study for all these small tests then iss lastbencher ka prestige ko kya hoga . I've prepared the bits already ,

She spoke , fanning the envelop near her face and annika's eyes widened listening to it.

P- kiara ,don't forget that you're speaking with a topper . She doesn't know all these test tactics .

K- arey haan , lastbencher ka bits ki keemat tum kya jaanu topper jiji !!

She enacted and hified with preethi while annika rolled her eyes .

A- hogaya? Are you going to give it or shall I tell maa about your bit stories . Let me do that first ,

She tucked her hair , pretending to be strict and kiara's victorious smile faded at once.

K- nahi nahi jiji, no. I'll give it to you ,but I have a condition.

A- what is it ?

K- we'll have a look at it first ,

She told and partnered with preethi who showed a thumbs up . Annika sighed before agreeing.

K- yeah!!! Teek hai ,I'm going... to take it ,I'm going.... to see.... it . Jiii- boom- baa!

She stretched her words to get a smack from annika soon .

Annika found both their reactions changing at once they saw the picture. Both made weird faces , increasing her worry to another level .

A- kya huwa ? Acha nahi hai kya?

She asked with a cute face and both passed a pitiful look on her .

P- I'm so sorry annika par ,

She shook her head and bent down . By the time annika was so frustrated as she just snatched the photo from kiara's hand.

She flipped the parchment slowly , when her eyes settled down quite witnessing the him .

The two corners of her lips automatically moved on either sides to bring a small yet amused smile. She was so into the photo that she didn't certainly notice the two girls who were giggling at her for staring intently.

She kind of felt attracted to him ,and continued her sighting session when kiara faked coughed to divert her .

A- uhh vo... why did you react like that? He doesn't look so bad ,

She frowned and instantly both looked at each other and started laughing making her glare .

K- don't worry jiji ,we were just playing . Jiju is looking great !

A- jiju mat bolo , nothing is finalized yet .

K- arey dumbo jiji , his mother likes you very much and she has already selected you . So ,it's nearly finalized na ?

A- aise nahi hai keethu, he should also like me . Isn't that more important?

P- If that's the case then I'm sure he's going to fall for you .Matlab , who will have a heart to reject my prettiest friend ?...!

She exclaimed and annika shook her head .

A- you're wrong preethi , mein pretty hoon ...khoobsurat hoon ,these shouldn't be the reason for him to like me . It ...it's completely about what we feel for the other ,which gives confirmation to decide on a life with our partner .

She explained with a breezy smile on her face and preethi shook her head sighing.

P- you and your logics!

K- ek minute ek minute , jiji ? So tell me first , do you like him ? Have you got all those feels which you were speaking about ?

A- vo sab muje nahi pata ,

She spoke and tried running out when both caught her immediately.

K- haaye! Meri behen sharmarahi hai !

They plugged her inbetween them and sat on the bed caging her from both the sides .

A- leave me !! Keethu! Preethi chod na ?

She whined but they just asked her the same question and started tickling her as she leaned back on the bed ,laughing huge .

Annika ,being the soul of innocence and fragility had never let herself to involve in any relationship even though there remained a parade of boys behind her at college . Her life was a pleasant chain which enclosed within her family and friends, she isn't a person who demands things to find herself satisfied rather she takes anything to her contentment to feel joy as she was brought up that way , to play a elderly responsible daughter in a family . She just thinks about the comfort and happiness of people around  .

So when it comes to love ,she had her own definition .

" If love is really a strong magnet which binds soulmates together, then let me love my husband after marriage! On the whole ,I'd get married to him and he'll be my better half so why shouldn't I try to find my love in my husband ?"

That's how she states love. Indeed , a love before marriage ( i.e love marriage)isn't always successful and a marriage before love ( i .e arranged marriage)isn't always a failure .

It entirely depends on the duo involved , whether they find their hearts hitching feelings for the other in the life being lead .

It isn't that she just gets compromised to go with the flow rather she is preserving the ways to give chances for the knot which destiny binds for her.

And pinky's description of shivaay had actually caught and impact on annika . When she mentioned about his constant transfers due to his honesty , annika certainly felt a desire for him . She prayed that this alliance must hitch on somehow.

She hadn't even seen him yet ,but those sensitive feelings which arose in her listening to pinky's words and those stream of invisible glow which enlightened her when she witnessed his picture for the first time just mentioned everything clearly.

He wasn't just another man as others in the list of grooms whom she had come across. She has already developed  a strong sense of adoration towards him .

Maybe, he is the man !

But will he feel the same ?

That remained an unanswered question within her which did make her feel low, to be honest .

Within next few days , annika got an interview card from a company in Mumbai . Since their parents were reluctant to send her out of state ,she had perused her higher studies in the nearby colleges even after securing good marks but this time she was determined to get this job somehow because an extra salary will definitely be helpful in supporting her father financially so she convinced her parents and decided to attend the interview .

Preethi ,whose boyfriend has come to Mumbai to visit his father ,asked her to come there too ,so that they can open up about their relationship and convince him regarding their marriage .

A- so you're coming with me tomorrow?

P- ji, Tharun just wants to convince his papa somehow. Vaise bhi, my baiya is all set to find a groom for me soon ,so it's a crucial time for me that I have to do something. I'm just scared of one thing !! Baiya se ye sach kaise bathaungi mein,

She spoke caressing her tummy where her small life resides . This truth is known only to annika .

A- hey preethi, just don't worry haan ? Everything will be fine . I'm sure that very soon ,I'll be dancing on Sharuk's songs for your wedding!!

She exclaimed holding her shoulders and preethi smiled wide.

When kiara entered the room annika signalled preethi not to converse on this topic now .

K- so jiji, finally you're leaving to Mumbai tomorrow! I know why you were so stubborn in this , jiju se milne ja rahi hai na aap?

She asked with teasing smile which annika ignored ,and preethi had a round mouth listening to it.

P- how did I even miss this ?...!! Ye hui na baath,

A- it's good for you both to shut your mouth and sleep. Dare you start again ,keethu !

She ordered and hid herself beneath the duvet leaving the both to stare at her disappearing figure silently.

True that she had other plans too, after attending the interview she has thought to meet him ,well not exactly meet him but to see him atleast. Fortunately, the company wasn't very far from his home which she had checked with the Gmap . Thank God !

Their alliance was almost fixed as her mother had spoken to pinky about it just the previous  day so she thought of taking steps to know him before marriage. She has approved for an arranged marriage but it doesn't mean that she could just barge in to share life with a person she hardly knows .

She didn't plan it but when there is an opportunity, why loose it ?
