20] Her Embracement
She was snatched from the hands of her mother
Carried away by her father
In the new country further
Along with his mistress forever.
Smacked and knocked by the mistress
She cries silently in distress.
Looking at the swollen marks, she caresses
Covering it underneath her long tresses.
She leans near the frame
Pouring brandy over logs setting flame
As the night came
With the dark skies claim.
Her mind filled with void
Along with her emotions devoid
The conscious echo avoid
Yet her thoughts coiled.
Hearing rush of the waves
Out she braves
On the ship concaves
Embellishing her freedom, which she craves.
