El's POV:

  I open my eyes and look around where was I? I'm surrounded by rocks... a cave?  "Come on, Gaje! Let's go find some food!" I hear a voice coming from deeper in the cave. There was a little girl, maybe 13, pulling on the arm of a boy about the same age, both of them have black hair and red eyes.... it.. it's me... no... it can't be... it's not that day... is it?

   "No, Ellie. I'm not going, I won't leave until he comes back!" The boy sits there stubbornly.

    "But I want you to come with me!" Young me pulled on her brother's arm. "It's such a nice day out!" 'I' smile. Was I really ever that happy?

   He shook his head, of course he did... He always did... "No. I'm waiting for that stupid dragon! I'm not leaving until he comes back!" He shouted. I step forward, Gaje... it hurt you so much when he left... mini me sighed.

    "Fine. I'll go on my own... I'll come back later..." She, me, turns to leave and the memory of this day comes back fully. no... "NO! DON'T LEAVE! STAY!" I yell at 'myself' but she can't hear me. She can't hear me... she leaves and I follow her.

    Suddenly we're on the outskirts of a small town, burning to the ground. "Wh-what happened?" Ellie runs into the town to help whoever she can. We hear a scream. no... don't go there... they'll find you! She runs to the alley and finds two men with those masks... those masks... grabbing a small red-haired child to take her away. Ellie looks at the men and glares, turning her arms into iron. "Let her go!" She yells, running forward.

   The guards look surprised and have no time to react before the young me knock them both down with her fists. Once they were down, she grabbed the little girls hand and ran. Their flight was useless however. I sat there, crying, while the two of them were surrounded by guards. "You... you should have stayed with Gaje..." I mutter, watching as little Ellie is beaten down by the guards. She put up a fight, but it was futile, after an hour of fighting, they chained both of the little girls up and took them away to a cart, filled with children, and I sat there, crying, knowing just what kind of hell they were to be dragged off to.

    I suddenly wake up in a room. Right... I'm in Magnolia... I sit up and sigh. I can feel my face is damp with tears. Dreams... Memories.. what's the difference anymore? I get up and walk over to the bathroom to wash my face. I need new clothes... I sigh and make my way to the guild. I had joined the guild officially after chores the night before. I get some breakfast and eat before going over to the board to find a job.

   On my way to the job board, I run into some blonde kid. "Out of my way!" I snap and try to shove him aside.

    "HOW DARE YOU LAY HANDS ON LAXUS! I DEMAND YOU APOLOGIZE IMMEDIATELY!" I turn my head to see some skinny green haired.. boy? I think, yelling at me for shoving blondie out of the way. 

    "Or what? You gonna fight me?" I laugh. "Why do you care? Unless... he's not your boyfriend, is he?" I smirk, teasing them.

    "What?! Ew, no!" Is the response I hear from the blonde, while the green haired kid's eyes just grow wide.

    "Wh-what? What would make you assume such a thing?! I've never thought of Laxus as anything but a mentor! WHY HAVE YOU INFECTED ME WITH YOUR PERVERTED THOUGHTS!?" I laugh at them and keep walking. 

    "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say." I walk over to the board and look for a suitable job. I saw one and was about to grab it when it was taken by the blondie from before. "Hey, blondie, I don't know who you think you are, but I was going to take that job!"

    "Yeah? You and who else? This job's way to hard for a newbie like you!" He laughs at me. I growl. 

    "Give me the d*** job!" I turn my fist to iron and punch him in the face, which seemed to rather horrify the green haired kid.

   "How dare you assault Laxus! As captain of his guard, I will defend him!" He declared, stepping between me and blondie. 

    "Freed, stay out of this. I'll fight her." Blondie said, stepping in front of the green bean. "You want to fight? Fine, we'll fight." He laughed. Oh, is he laughing at me?

    "Yeah, laugh now. You won't be laughing when I'm done with you." I take off my cloak and take up a fighting stance. I'll let him make the first move this time...

    "You wish!" He smirked and let out his first attack, a huge lightning bolt flies out of his hands at my face. I duck and it would have missed, except my arm is still iron. It hits my arm and sends me back a few feet. "Gah!" Okay... no more iron... I turn my hands back into flesh before running toward him.

   He sent another lightning bolt my way, this one which I manage to dodge. I got close enough and punch him in the gut, turning my fist to iron at the last possible moment. He seemed to be fairly stunned, so I hit him again, this one landing on his face, and knocking him back a couple steps.

    I tried to hit him again, but the third hit he blocked with his left arm, before punching me with his right. The blow knocked me back several feet, and through a couple tables. I was about to get up to fight him again when a disapproving voice came from the bar.

    "Ellanna, Laxus, come up here now!" I look up, it's the master. I grumble and get to my feet before glancing over at blondie, who was rolling his eyes.

   "Whatever, old man..." He grumbled and walked toward the master, and I follow.

Author: MUAHAHAHA a cliffhanger of sorts! XD idk. I wasn't sure whether it should be Laxus or Freed she fought at first, but after some thinking, and consulting some of my advisors (siblings XD) we decided it should definitely be Laxus.

Laxus: Yeah, because El's annoying.

El: MUAHAHAHA

Freed: Why am I a green bean though?

El: Because you were really scrawney when you were a kid.

Levy: El! Be nice!

El: why should I be nice? We're enemies... for the moment ;P

Freed: I'm honestly not sure which of my nicknames is worse... 

Author: Well... one was made for playful teasing and the other more for taunting so... yeah. How about the audience decides? Which is meaner? Green Bean? or Tomato? XD 

Erza: Why was I not in this chapter???

El: Because you ran off and took a job without me.

Erza: But why was I not in the chapter?!

Author: The book's kind of about El, Erza. You're an important side character, but a secondary character nonetheless.

Erza: BUT I BELONG IN THE SPOTLIGHT!

El: Yeah, that just went so well last time...

Erza: I've been practicing!!!

Author: *Sigh* Erza, I'll give you cake if you calm down.

Erza: Cake!!?? Where is the cake!?

Author: On the table.

Erza: *attacks the cake*
