Varun POV

After Disha left last night, she left Pari and I in our thoughts, to come up with a decision. I regret everything I said to Shraddha. I was an idiot to believe Natasha that day when she came up to me, telling all false details to me, successfully breaking the childhood bond between Shraddha and I. If I had been a true friend, I would have not listened to Natasha and would have never broken the friendship that has always been precious to me but I never admitted to anyone till now. It was Pari's decision and also mine. She wanted me to go and find Shraddha, to start trying to make things right.

"Why would you tell me this?" I asked. I was honestly confused and so was Pari. Isn't she supposed to be in team Shraddha?

"Only you knew about this,"  Pari asked and she nodded.

"Varun, I am not on anyone's side," Disha said, reading my mind. "But I do know that what you did with Shraddha was wrong. But Kriti and I are different. I prefer to handle situations differently then she does."

"The decision is yours but keep me informed," Disha said and stood up to leave.

"Disha!" I called her name and she turned around. "Why are you so nice to me? Shouldn't you hate me?"

"Varun, everyone makes mistakes in their life but that doesn't mean that they have to pay for them for the rest of their life. Sometimes good people make bad choices, like you did in 2019. It doesn't mean you are a bad person. Everyone deserves a chance to clean up theur mistakes, I say make the most of this one." Disha said with a smile.

"You and Maya are just like each other," I said as memories of Maya and Shraddha flashed in front of my eyes. "Both of you are so similar and speak in a language called quotes. You kept on reminding  me of her."

"You are wrong, there can be no one like Maya," Disha said genuinely as a sad smile formed in her face.

Author POV

"So what do we do now?" Varun asked his wife who was deeply absorbed in thought.

"You sure about this Varun?" she said in a quiet voice.

"That's what I think she meant," he responded.

"Then go," she said sadly.

"I am not leaving you alone," he shook his head and held her hand tightly. "You need me right now."

"You know," Pari gave his hand a tight squeeze and continued. "You have always been there for me even if I wasn't there for you when we were just friends. You forgot about this one friend who loves you so much that she doesn't care if you were not there for her when she needed you. Even when you dated me, Shraddha was the one who well, made us resolve our little arguments and fights we had. Right now, my parents are here, my brothers are coming tomorrow, Rohit Bhaiya and Bhabhi visited today, my parents in law called and told me that they will be here next week as soon their film shoot finishes. Alu, Sidharth, Disha, I know that Tiger, Kriti, Sushant will also support me. I honestly can go on about the people who are there for me. Please, for this time, go to Shraddha and be there for her. You won't be going forever. I want you and her to be friends again."

"I'll go very early in the morning. So that people don't recognise me," he said, staring at his wife's beautiful face. Her eyes instantly lit up and her lips curved into her beautiful smile after hearing his response.

"You remember what Disha said," Pari reminded me. "Put on a disguise. She told me that she dressed like an old lady when she went searching. You should have a moustache and we'll put a a shabby wig on your hair. And wear really lose clothes."

"Yes Babe," Varun mumbled. He decided it was best not to argue with Pari about fashion. If he does, the consequences were not pretty.

"Thank you for realising for mistake," Pari said, and pressed her lips against his cheek. "I'll check on Annie. She is very troublesome when it comes to going to sleep."

Pari went to Annie's room while Varun went to his.

"She isn't here," Pari exclaimed.

"There's a surprise waiting in our bedroom actually," he said as glanced into gis bedroom. Pari rushed inside and saw Annie lying on the bed, with her eyes closed.

"Mummy," Annie immediately stood up on the bed and started to jump excitedly.

"Annie Baby," Pari groaned but couldn't help but chuckle at her daughter's cuteness.

"Daddy, Mummy, I don't feel sleeeeeepy," she said cutely, stretching the 'e' sound in sleepy.

"Fine, sleep here," he chuckled at Annie's behavior. "But you have to sleep, Princess."

"I promise," Annie said eagerly and sat on the bed.

"You always spoil her," Pari laughed. "Fine Annie, close your eyes now."

"Ahh..." Pari winced and put her hands on her head. It was always the same crushing pain on one side of her head that came and went on to the other side. She started to feel dizzy.

"Pari!" Varun rushed to his wife's side and helped her lie down. "I'm calling the doctor."

"Mumma," Annie said, looking a bit scared as she snuggled closer to her mother.

"I'm okay Princess," Pari said, fighting back tears, she stroked her daughter's hair.

Leaving Pari, well, was not what I wanted to do but I knew she wasn't alone. Alia promised to take her to the doctor. I don't blame Kriti for being mad at me. She has always been one of those girls who don't hide their pain. I glanced out the window of the car as I moved on. I looked ridiculous but I allowed Pari to make me look like this. I do hope no one recognises me. I never realised how much I missed Shraddha.

After:

"Sir, we have reached," the driver said, waking me up from my thoughts. I paid him and stepped out of the car. I arrived at my first destination, Lonavla. Lonavla was a rural town, in Maharashtra. It is also Maya's hometown. I walked towards the mountains.

Our fathers have worked together in a number of movies. As children, we would often accompany them when they went shooting for their movies.

"Varun," an eight year old Shraddha dragged her friend to the mountain top while holding a picnic basket.

"Shraddha, why do we have to come here?" I complained. I was feeling hungry.

"I want to tell you something," she said smiling widely, revealing a couple of missing teeth.

"What!" I said, immediately became curious to find out what she wanted to say.

"Okay, I will say it," Shraddha said happily. "Here, have a muffin."

"Say na," I whined as I was getting impatient but took a muffin and started to eat.

"You love I," she said cutely.

I was confused at first and then it hit me. "No!"

I threw the muffin I was eating away and ran off, leaving Shraddha alone on the mountain.

It became a joke for us ever since but now I know it was only for me. I made my way to through the streets. My eyes explored the area but there was no sign of Shraddha.

Manzilein rusva hain..
Khoya hai raasta
Aaye le jaaye..
Itni si iltaza
Ye meri zamaanat hai
Tu meri amaanat hai haan..

The destinations are upset
The road is lost
May it come and take this small request of mine
This shall be my release
You are my fidelity

Aaaaa...

A beautiful voice began to sing. It was smooth and clear and quiet yet powerful.

Mujhko iraade de
Kasmein de, vaade de
Meri duaaon ke isharon ko sahare de
Dil ko thikaane de
Naye bahaane de
Khwabon ki barishon ko
Mausam ke paimaane de

Give me resolutions
Give me promises and vows
Give support to the signs of my prayers
Give the heart a place to live
Give me new reasons
Give the rainfall of my dreams, a goblet of the season
Show me Your benevolent deeds
Throw a gaze in this direction also

Sunn raha hai na tu
Ro rahi hoon, main
Sun raha hai na tu
Kyun ro rahi hoon main

Sunn raha hai na tu
Ro rahi hoon, main
Sun raha hai na tu
Kyun ro rahi hoon main

Are You listening or not?
I am crying
Are You listening or not?
Why am I crying

I glanced inside the building it was coming from. It was a restaurant. I decided to go in.

"Sorry Sir," a security guard blocked me from entering the restuarant. "It's a private event."

I frowned but walked away. I'll come back later. I'll quickly eat and come back here.

Author POV

"What does this mean Doctor?" Alia demanded.

"Alia, please calm down," Pari soothed.

"Ms Dhawan, I am sorry but you have Glioblastoma. Grade 4 Brain Tumor." Doctor Sharma repeated.

"No..." Alia said, with her voice trailing away slowly. Her eyes and mouth were frozen wide in shock. Pari looked down. "Please tell me that's not true."

"I'm sorry," Doctor Sharma said quietly.

"How long...how long do I have left?" I asked as tears began to run down my face.

"The average survival time is 12-18 months," the doctor hesitated before speaking.

Varun POV

The event finished two hours later but that security guard still wouldn't let me in.

I pull my black hood as I hear the thunder rumbling. I sauntered in the rain as small pellets of water spit on my hands until I stopped in the shade. One woman and a little girl also stood in the shade.

"Why have we stopped Mumma?" the little girl asked.

"We ware waiting for your Massi," the mother replied. The voice seemed vaguely familiar. I followed their gazes and noticed they were staring at girl who drenched in the rain.

It was Shraddha Kapoor!

Ended with an cliffhanger😜

What did you think of the surprise? Shraddha's entry to the story???

I told you that I would update sooner and I did update soon and I kept my promise. Hopefully I'll update in the coming week if I have time. The edit I did of Varun Dhawan, well I have no words.

What did you think Disha told  them? Any guesses?

And what did of the Dhawan family moment?

Till then signing off
