Jenny was now lying in her bed. Merlin was trying to help her wake up but Jenny was not ready. Jenny didn't came out of her room for two days, this was disturbing Merlin. She said "Wake up Jenny, Ruth will come in an hour". Jenny walked down to the sofa in living room.

Merlin wanted Jenny to talk to Michael. She knew only Michael can cool  down her anger. Will he wait till she cools down?

Even though Jenny didn't responded to her mom, she was following what Merlin asked her to do.

Ruth came to her house that day. She was discussing the shopping list with Merlin. Jenny as usual got angered with the topic and went to her room

Ruth wanted to ask Jenny which was her favourite colour for the designer saree? She called her name, but Jenny could not hear it. Jenny was upstairs.

Merlin had an angered look as she left without saying anything to Ruth. She tried to call her on phone but it gave the same not reachable announcement. Ruth went upstairs to Jenny's room.

Jenny was staring at the wall as if it had a power ranger's poster. She didn't know whats happening in her life. She was confused at her mom's actions.

She didn't talk to her about her weird behaviour. Jenny was clearly hurt. She didn't knew what will happen to her in that Romeo's home? What will his family do to her?

How will he treat me? Will he love me? Will he give comforting hugs like my mother? Will his scent be comfortable as my mother's?

She was interrupted from her thoughts by Ruth's voice which was calling her name.

Ruth took her down to the living room. Merlin gave an angry look and said "What were you thinking Jenny?"

Jenny replied "One side of country is raining another side of country is burning. To stop all this problem I am thinking, but both of you keep on knocking the door. You even were scolding me. After all this I am now standing before you"

Merlin said with a sad face "Jenny! You were good in the morning. What happened to your mental state now?"

Jenny was not ready to answer her. Jenny didn't want to wear many jewels. She didn't play with the neighbour's child for two days. She didn't open her phone. She stayed in her house, so she went to shopping for her marriage. She didn't show any interest in that.

After two days she got bored with it too. Now primary question in her mind was why didn't Michael meet me? Does he even love me? What is he thinking now? Is he tensed and confused like me?

Merlin didn't complained too. She knew Jenny's marriage was in 10 days. So she asked Jenny to rest. Jenny felt something different today. She knew it was a week since Michael came to his house. She wondered how much her life changed after that day.

She remembered that Michael's family was coming to her house. They were coming to show her some designer saree. She was feeling something different now. She knew it was because she is going to meet Michael today.

She came down to her living room. Ruth was in her house today. Jenny didn't know how to react to Michael. But first how will he treat me?

Ruth asked Merlin "Who all are coming today?" Merlin said "Michael's brother and his sister-in-law are coming" Wait, does this mean Michael is not coming today?

She didn't knew why she felt sad when she knew that Romeo is not coming?

Merlin asked Jenny to change into some presentable dress. She went to her room without any sort of feelings. She has two hours free time. They are coming only after 2 hours, so she slept on her bed.

After some time she heard a door knock. She thought it was Ruth and opened the door. She was shocked to see Romeo standing in her room door.

He didn't hesitate to say Hi honey. Then only he saw her deeply and he said with a blush "Sorry Jenny I thought you will be ready as you know we are coming today. I am extremely sorry". He fixed his eyes on her and started to roam his eyes on her.

Jenny didn't know why he was sorry? Did he feel sorry to see me?

She saw her body by following his eyes. Her top has slid from her shoulders during her sleep. She suddenly adjusted it.

There was a silence after this. Michael broke the silence by saying " Are you love struck? What happened to you? Don't you remember your future husband honey?"

Honey, future husband! Why is he talking like that to me? This is the second time he is seeing me?

She was standing like petrified cat Norris. Michael came near her to see if she blinks her eye. Jenny gave him a terrified look when he reached her. He said "Relax Jenny" but she still had the same look. Suddenly Michael realised that his hands were placed in her waist.

He blushed and said "oh!I am very sorry Jenny. I didn't realise this" he pointed towards his hands which was still on her waist. He removed his hands after 3 seconds.

Removing his hands was a tough job for him. Michael went after saying that he will wait downstairs. Jenny was feeling angry as he again used the word honey.

She was angry with her mother for letting a boy come upstairs. She was also angry due to his way.

How can he come inside like his room? How dare he kept a hand on my waist? How can he use words like honey, future husband?

How can you come into my room like this? Why can't I call him with words like honey or future husband?

How can he talk like that to a girl he met the second time? Does he talk to all girls like this? Last question came with a fear. Why!

She came downstairs to see Michael sitting alone in sofa. She starred at him, he continued saying "hey! I am your future husband Michael James Andrew"

Wait. He is only Michael Andrew. Then what was he saying. Only after seeing his stunned look, she understood that she said her thoughts loudly.

Michael was hurt. He asked her "Don't you know my full name?"

His look of hurt made her wish if she could have stopped her typewriting tongue from speaking nonstop.

It was only a week left for their marriage but she didn't even know his name. Michael understood her anger.

It was hurting him to see a free spoken girl like Jenny to be silent.

He thought if he should have spoken to her before itself. He didn't wanted to deny her the first thing she asked which is to stop the marriage, so only he asked his father to do it.

He knew he was making her nervous and changing her. He didn't wanted to change her and it was hurtful to know that he was changing her.

Jenny felt sad on seeing the hurt in his face, so she said "Everyone were calling you just Michael, so I thought it was your full name"

He changed that hurt look which made Jenny smile.

He noticed her change in attitude and smiled too. He knew he can make her happy again

He asked about her phone to which he has been trying to call. She said she kept it in shelves.

Michael said "I just came here to hear your sweet voice darling! Come on! Speak baby!" will this idiot stop saying all these names

I want to but I can't use this immediately.

Jenny couldn't believe the way he is acting. He speaks confidentially like he is a king he is just a Romeo.

Jenny wanted to go away from him now, so she said 'Dad and Mom are outside" she said this while leaving lot of gap between each word which clearly meant she was tensed.

His brother didn't send Michael instead of him to speak to Jenny's parents. He rescued Michael from office so that Michael can talk to Jenny.

Michael said "I want to talk to you. I talked to them already honey. I am going to say things about me and you are going to say more about you too." More! He doesn't know anything about me.

He went to sit on a small chair. She motioned him to sit on her bed as she knew it is uncomfortable for him to sit in that small chair.

She thought any part of his body will brush her when it didn't she left out a heavy breath. When he enquired about the long breath, she shouted "it is my problem! Don't I have the right to breath?"

Michael said immediately "Cool baby! You can do anything honey" how is he talking like he knew me for years? I can't even get a word out?

Michael said "I studied Engineering like you-" he stopped for a minute and continued "then I studied Business Art" Did he stop due to nervousness? He wasn't nervous before what happened now?

He continued to say about his family. She started listening with more interest. He liked it.

After some time she gave a worried expression and said "Can we go? It is already too late" Michael said that he will come tomorrow too. She got a different feeling now.

He asked her to get her phone in working condition so that he can talk to her.

She wanted to shout at him but why can't I shout at him?

She didn't know what was happening to her.

Why can't I treat him badly?

Michael interrupted her and said "Jenny let's go down. I am okay with this dress but there are others too" He pointed her dress out.

After he went outside she started thinking why she can't treat him badly? Why am I admiring his every actions?

She thought to herself why was the brain not working properly?

She didn't notice her heart winning over this battle. She didn't know that it was her heart which was functioning not her brain.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

I saw a Tamil talk show "NEEYA NAANA" (YOU OR ME). It was a full of girl speakers. The topic is what do girls want?

1) Love, affection and care

2) Personal space and freedom

This show helped me understand what Jenny missed in her life. I didn't know it actually till I saw this show. I AM A BOY :)

3) How was Michael and Jenny together (it was only one sided romance)?
