Y/n's POV 🍒

Unfortunately, when I left to get myself something to eat, I suddenly heard something echo in my head that I don't think I would ever forget.

"You are...my diamonds...Y/n and...Roxy..."

When those words echoed in my head, I immediately noticed my heart suddenly felt heavy with sorrow along with tears suddenly appearing and falling from my eyes.

Yet, I was confused.

"Who...Who's Roxy? Why do I feel so...sad?? And why am I crying??? Is something bad about to happen in the near future that I'm not aware of?!?!" I thought to myself, while I was in the bathroom for a moment.

"No...Wait...WHY DID THAT VOICE, I HEARD IN MY HEAD, SOUND LIKE ROARK'S?!?!?!"

Looking at myself in the mirror, I noticed tear stains on my face, after I managed to stop the tears from coming in my eyes more.

My normal e/c eyes weren't their usual color again. This time, they were glowing a light shade of purple.

My aura suddenly showed itself visibly, matching the color of my now-glowing-purple-eyes.

"Oh...Foresight..." I went before the aura suddenly vanished, my eyes changing back to my usual, normal e/c.

Staring at my hands for a moment, I clenched them into fists, feeling an urge in me.

"I want to....No....I have to and need to protect Roark...Even tho I'm already doing that right now, I meant...With my life.

Just like how a parent would with their child." I said to myself, making sure I didn't say it too loud to where other people would've heard it.

Sighing, I left the bathroom after washing my hands, before I continued on my way to the cafeteria.

It felt lonely eating dinner without Roark, since he's in the emergency room upstairs with Byron, but I managed.

I'm pretty sure that Roark wanted me to have some time to myself anyways, even if it's just for a little bit.

Clutching my chest a little, I could feel my heart pounding hard in my chest every time I think about him.

"Yeah. I really do love him that much...Don't I?" I thought as I smiled to myself a bit.

"We even made love, hugged and even kissed each other, so, it should be obvious too....

But...Why can't we say 'I love you' to each other yet? Is Roark still too shy to say it to me? Or is it the fact that the both of us are too shy?"

I sat there in silence, thinking about that before smiling to myself again.

"Nah...I think Roark's still shy."

Then I giggled a little at the thought of his cute reactions the last few times.

"But...No matter what happens, he'll still be my adorable Roarkie. I'll make sure of that too, even if I have to kill anyone who gets in my way from loving."

Once I was finished eating, I disposed the trash in the garbage can and left the cafeteria to head on back to Roark's room upstairs.

For a bit, we stayed at the hospital before the doctor came and discharged him.

But, when we about to leave, Roark asked if he could stick around with his father for a few months, while I fill in as the substitute gym leader of Oreburgh City for him.

"Sure. Why?" I answered.

"I was just thinking about what you said earlier, about me and dad having some father-son time...It made me realize that I didn't spend any time with him since I became a gym leader, so, I wanted to make that up to him.

Even though dad's a gym leader himself too, I'm sure he wouldn't mind...Right?" He explained, as he hid his face out of shyness and embarrassment.

"Aww, that's cute of you. Go on ahead and spend some time with your father as much as you want to. Okay?" I gushed in adore while giving Roark a head pat.

In response, he nodded his head a little.

"Do you need anything before heading off to Canalave?" I asked for a second, as we were leaving the hospital now.

"Just some of my clothes and stuff. That's really about it..." Roark answered.

"Alright, if you want me to pack them up for you, I can do that." I offered.

"No thanks." He went.

In response, I nodded my head in understanding, before hugging him.

Roark's POV 🪨

Looking at y/n after she hugged me, I smiled a bit before hugging and giving her a head pat in return.

"God, why are you so cute?!?!" I heard her say as she tightened the hug a little before relaxing.

"Because I am, to you..." I teased before playfully sticking my tongue out at her.

"I know! But, still! You're cute enough to be given love occasionally everyday!!" Y/n replies as she gave me a kiss on the forehead, after moving my hair our of the way.

I blushed a little at that before looking away from her and at the ground, until I felt her kiss me on the lips.

Looking at her, I closed my eyes and kissed her back in return, enjoying her warm and soft lips.

"Roark? There's something I want to give you..." Y/n says as she looked at me, after parting the kiss.

"Huh...Ironically, I have something for you too, aside from the kiss." I replied.

"Why don't we exchange them at the same time then?"

"I like that idea. I was thinking the same thing too..." She went before chuckling a little.

After we said that, we pulled out something from our pants pockets and exchanged them.

Y/n getting what I was giving her, while I'm getting what she was gonna give me.

While y/n gave me hers, I noticed there was a card, making me turn it over and read it.

"You will always be my adorable Roarkstar, miner boy...I love you so much I'd be willing to die for you, and I guess you probably feel the same way about me too.  - Love, Y/n"

When I was finished reading it to myself, I looked at y/n, seeing a blush on her face as she was looking the other way, obviously feeling shy.

Pulling her into a hug, I buried my face in her hair as she hugged me back in return.
