Chapter V
"Thank you! Have a good day!" I smiled at the group of two freshman girls who had just bought books for their second semester. They thanked me greatly before heading out the door, and leaving the bookstore finally empty save me and Mrs. Hawke. I sighed, staring at the sides of rows upon rows of full bookcases. No, I didn't wish it was busy here. Bookstores were meant to be quiet places of solitude for the imagination to prosper and thrive without disruptions. I loved the quiet here, but the environment outside....
I bit the inside of my cheek as I slowly glanced over my shoulder to see the full on campus plaza. Kids and young adults were off and living care free with their lives, pursuing their dream and careers. I sighed again, my eyes catching a group of three girls and two guys that were walking across campus. They happily chatted amongst each other, laughing and exclaiming what crazy stuff they probably learned in Science class. From their facial expressions they looked really happy. I had to sigh again.
That could be you out there you know...
"Abby, sweetheart you sound as bored as the kids in my old English class.." Mrs. Hawke and said to me. I looked over to meet her blazing blue-green eyes, smiling only a bit,"Sorry Mrs. Hawke.."
She looked out the window the same time I did, observing the scene with her old and knowledgeable eyes. For a woman in her late 40's, I thought she was still pretty. I imagined her as stunning and beautiful when she was younger; the intelligent and extremely good looking girl with a knack for books and an unknown eye from all the boys. I looked up to her a lot. "College isn't all fun and games you know Abbigail.." She said. I still didn't meet her eyes, even when she looked right at me.
I looked down and tapped my nails on the marble windowsill,"Sounds better than watching everyone else follow their dreams while I'm sitting her selling books..." I sighed, making Mrs. Hawke roll her eyes. My own eyes moved from one side of the campus to the other. I glanced a cloud of smoke somewhere in the middle, so I traced back my fielf of vision to follow it. I stopped to see the man I bumped into right before my shift. He was smoking a cigarette, right on campus if I may add, and staring straight ahead at the buildings on the side. I tilted my head, what the hell was he doing here?
Chills of every arctic temperature ever ran down my entire body, making me freeze, I couldn't even open my mouth. His eyes were the reason for my immobility. It was always like that around him, there was always a chill in the air whenever he passed. It made me interested, yet very uncomfortable at the same time. Even thought he was a great distance away, I saw his face clearly. His lips were curled into a smirk as he was twirling the smoking stick in his fingers. I was forced to watch as his piercing eyes started to cloud just like the smoke fom his cigarette, only into black darkness. My eyes widened at the sight of his dark black pupils, and then I blinked. He vanished.
I blinked again, only to see him still gone. I rubbed my head, figuring out that I could move again, and glad for it.
"Abby? Are you listening?"
"Hmm?" I turned to see Mrs. Hawke narrowing her eyes at me in disapproval. Her arms were crossed, a strand of black hair hanginf out of her bun and beside her thin glasses. I stood up straight and flattened my skirt, biting back the urge to sigh so I wouldn't annoy her further,"I'm sorry Mrs. Hawke..I-I wasn't listening..." I said, shaking off what I just saw, or...what I thought I just saw.
This time she was the one sighing,"I swear Abbigail..you are the most spaced out girl I've ever known..." I bit my lip and looked down, embarrassed. It was routine that Mrs. Hawke caught me daydreaming on duty.
"You remind me of myself when I was younger.." I looked up at the softness in her tone. I smiled at her with a little chuckle. She waved her hand at me,"Ok enough reminisciing and daydreaming. I'll be in the back Abby!"
"Yes ma'am!" I nodded and watched her lift the bar of the front desk to exit and walk around the the very back of the store. I took my time to look around and see no one. I quickly and unsuspiciously pulled out a book from an empty drawer of the desk, where I kept my things. I ran my fingers over the title: The Princess Bride. I always had a stupid grin when I read the title in my head. I don't know how many times I read this book over and over, but I think I stopped counting at 30.
I looked around again before taking a seat and flipping to my spot that was marked with a Doctor Who Fez bookmark. I loved it. I traced my finger down the page until I found my spot, and started to read and let the image of Buttercup and her mysterious captor rolling down the hill play through my head.

Louis's POV:
I hid behind a nearby building in a sort of cove or an alley, probably being a small hangout for mischeivous college drug dealers. I shouldn't stay here long. She strolled right on over across the dark and barely vacant plaza, her phone in hand. I didn't dare show my face, she'd already caught a glimpse of me, and I mean me me.
From the movement of her lips, and the small hint of blush on her cheeks, I concluded that she was talking to that dick of a boyfriend of hers on the other line. I leaned in to hear more of the conversation.
"Yes. Yes. Babe, I'm heading to the car right now. Ugh...Zach! It's only 8 o clock and it's just getting dark. No one is gonna take me..."
I narrowed my eyes when the red color increased in her cheeks. The damn boy must've said something to arouse her. She was fidgety and....dare I say it, cute. as she walked over to her car and scrambled for her keys.
"Yeah...yep. Love you too..bye" She hung up, and I watched her step into her car, eyeing her skirt with a bitten lip. She started the machine and looked around, but before she could spot me I had already vanished.

I appeared back on Earth right beside a large window in front of an apartment building. I assumed it was hers. I really hoped it was hers. I licked my lips, getting a taste and smell of the air. I smirked, it was her apartment alright. I was sitting on a ledge about a few hundred feet up, but I made sure I was invisbile to the human eye below, and that I wasn't about to fall from the height.
Peeking in, I saw a large double bed that was neatly made. A few clothes had scattered the floor, but other than that it was clean. A rough voice made me peek inside more. I saw a doorway that lead into another room and saw that damn boy again: Zach. Her boyfriend. I cringed at the word, observing him carefully. I squinted to see, narrowing my eyes to enhance my vision. He looked around before taking something, a small bag from his pocket, and poured it into a mug that I guess was filled with tea, by the smell. I sniffed the air again to see if I could get a whiff at what he put in, but I failed.
A door opening made me look at his nervous expression.
"Hmmm.." I hummed as Abby came into view, giving him a big hug. They kissed for awhile before pulling away. Zach handed the mug to Abby, where she happily accepted it. They shared words as she drank it, taking more frequent sips as the conversation went on. I got more and more curious, so I tried to tune in to what they were saying. I heard nothing, but I did see Abby drink the mug in one more gulp, setting it down. She was giggling now, and that dick Zach was smirking to himself. That's when it hit me.
Abby threw herself onto Zach in a deep but sloppy kiss, and Zach carefully, but hastily grabbed her by the waist, giving her backside a squeeze. I rolled my eyes at the sight. I was more than willing to kill that boy.
They proceeded to make out until it got so heated they moved it to the bedroom, where I was staring right into. I had to bite my lip to contain the lust clouding inside me when I saw Abby's clothes start to fall off of her beautiful body. That's when I started feeling the possessive emotion in me take over. That should be me ravishing her, that should be me taking her over like she was mine, and mine only.
But that all stopped when Zach had only stripped down to his boxers, leaving Abby naked and vulnerable. She started moaning uncontrollably, and all Zach was doing was rubbing her sides. I stared in shock, trying to figure it all out. Zach didn't look the least bit pleased, but Abby was enjoying the hell out of it. I forced myself to look away from her gorgeous bodyy and instead look at Zach who was almost emotionless. He waited and watched with disinterest as Abby's moans started getting louder.
I had to grin though. I knew I had been right. My dear little Abby was still an innocent virgin. I smelled it, I smelled the purity in her. I knew it for real. Zach had been drugging Abby with some form of ecstasy to somehow make her think they were having sex. For what reason? I didn't know. I was happy nonetheless, but the thought of it just made me want to tear his throat out. Why wasn't he enjoying any of it? I knew if I was him I would treasure each and every moment of Abby's writing in pleasure.
He stopped touching Abby, not even in an inappropriate spot, and pulled away. I forced myself to not listen when Abby started her "climax". Once I sensed she was done, and Zach gave her sweaty forehead a kiss and covered her up, I watched patiently. Zach eyed her a bit before putting his clothes back on. He wasn't even the least bit aroused!
I stared in awe as he walked out of the apartment, fully clothed and basically forgetting that he, no, not even he. It was a drug that pleasured Abby, not him. I could do so much better than that mere mortal could, even if he tried pleasuring her physically. I felt the anger boil inside me, and in a snap, I had disappeared again.
{A/N} I understand you guys might be a bit confused about all this..I tried to explain as much as I could,, but the next chapter should help with some insight.
