Chapter 1

'Some people are meant to enter your life like a storm, shaking things up when you least expect it. Uninvited and disruptive, yet they bring the change you never knew you needed. When they're gone, you realize too late that their departure was a final goodbye and find yourself aching for their return, knowing they never will..'

A gunshot rang out, sharp and decisive.

"Clean!"
Ken exclaimed, his voice brimming with admiration. He watched as Celestia's shot hit its targeted mark with precision, a smile spreading across his face. Just then, a phone buzzed in his pocket.

"Lia, someone's calling you. Umm... Looks like it's the 'Mr. Dealer'. "

Celestia, momentarily distracted, handed the gun to her associates.

"I need to take this. The deal's crucial. You handle the cleanup here. No mistakes-leave no trace. Even the smallest detail could come back to bite us."

Ken nodded in acknowledgment, his expression serious.

"Got it. I'll make sure everything's spotless."

With a final nod, Celestia slipped into her car and drove off, leaving Ken and the team behind.

"Alright, everyone. Let's get this cleaned up. We can't afford any slip-ups."

Mark stood at the entrance, scanning the street for Celestia's arrival. After nearly half an hour of waiting, he finally spotted her car pulling up. He approached her with a hint of mockery.

"What's with the delay, Miss? You're making us all wait."

Celestia's eyes narrowed slightly, her patience wearing thin.

"Some things can't be rushed, Mark."

She brushed past him and headed towards her cabin, her stride purposeful and unyielding.

Mark followed her inside, trying to keep up with her brisk pace.
"I hope you've got that deal sorted out, considering how long you took."

Celestia's response was cool and collected.
"Let's just focus on what needs to be done now. We have enough on our plate without adding more."

They entered her cabin, the door closing behind them with a soft click. Mark glanced around, noting the serious undertone in Celestia's demeanor. She was all business, her focus sharp as she prepared to tackle the tasks ahead.

A few minutes later...

A sharp, insistent buzz echoed through the sleek, modern office, slicing through the oppressive silence. Mark looked at the buzzing phone with exhaustion, his features twisted with frustration. The ringtone-an eerie, nerve-racking tune-seemed to amplify the tension in the room. Shifting his gaze from the phone, he watched as Celestia paced back and forth across the room, her movements tense and deliberate.

With a reluctant sigh, Celestia stopped pacing and coldly wrapped her long, slender fingers around the slim frame of the phone. She snatched it up with an air of annoyance.
"Tia speaking from Invincio Rifles, how can I help you?"

The voice on the other end stammered,
"Can I talk with your CEO, uh, Ma'am Celestia?"

Her face contorted, expression shifting from professionalism to exasperation, dark humor flashing in her eyes.
"What makes you think Tia can't be a nickname for Celestia?" she snapped.

Mark heard the telltale click of the call being abruptly hung up. Celestia's expression darkened further as she slammed the phone onto the floor with a sharp crash, watching with grim satisfaction as the device exploded into pieces, the screen splintering like glass in a high-stakes game gone wrong. Bits of plastic and shattered glass scattered across the wooden floor, glinting like broken promises.

Mark's eyes widened in disbelief as he processed the destruction.
"Seriously!? This is the tenth time we've had a spam call this week! At this rate we are doomed!" he said, his voice edged with irritation.

Celsetia stood there, fists clenched, breathing heavily.
"I can't believe this! How can you not trust me after all these years? These calls are just trying to pull off their ridiculous scams! They think they can outsmart me with their stupid hacking antics, but they'll be the ones doomed when I do my thing!"

As Celestia spoke, Mark noticed something on her hand-small, fresh jagged cut marks crisscrossing her skin. Concern washed over him.
"Tia, are you okay? Those cuts-"

She hesitated, her bravado faltering for a moment as she glanced down at the marks.
"Oh, it's nothing. Just a little mishap in the kitchen."

Mark looked closer, his worry deepening.
"That doesn't look like 'nothing.' Are you sure you're okay?"

With a sigh, Tia tucked her hand behind her back. She met his gaze, her fierce determination returning. With a wicked smile, Celestia leaned closer, her eyes glinting with mischief.
"I'm fine, Mark. I've dealt with worse than a few cuts. Besides, I'm plotting a wicked comeback for those spammers. Let them know they've messed with the wrong woman."

Mark chuckled, impressed by her determination.
"Whatever you are gonna do, sounds risky."

"Risky? Please. This is just me showing them who's the boss,"
Celestia shot back, confidence radiating from her.

Mark couldn't help but smirk, impressed by her resilience but still worried.
"Just promise me you'll be careful while you're at it."

"Careful? That's not really my style,"

She replied, her tone unapologetic.
"But I'll handle it. Just watch me."

A few minutes later..

"Oh, I almost forgot about the interviews,"
Mark began, glancing at the pile of resumes on her desk.

Before he could finish, she cut him off sharply.
"Reject all of them. Wrong timing... I'm in a very bad mood."
She grabbed the file and flung it onto the table. It tumbled to the floor, the resumes scattering like confetti from a party gone wrong.

Mark stared in horror and his irritation building, voice a little higher.
"Do you want to cut yourself up even more? Tia, just pick one chef. How hard can it be? At least taste their food..."

Her eyes flashed dangerously as she glared at him.
"You don't need to tell me what to do, Mark. Get me a new phone from my locker."
She turned her attention back to the deal files, her focus intense, but her mood unmistakably dark.

Mark sighed, his frustration evident. He stepped over the scattered papers and made his way to her locker. As he rummaged through it, he couldn't shake his concern for her. The cuts on her hand, the stress etched on her face-it was all taking a toll.

Mark shook his head with disappointment as he was bound to be silent, knowing better than to argue with her when she was in this state.

Hours later...
(☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞

Mark glanced at the clock on the wall, noting that it was almost six. The office was emptying out, the usual hum of activity replaced by the eerie quiet of an evening winding down. He approached Celestia's desk with a measured tone, trying to gauge her mood.
"Are you planning to stay late again? It's nearly six, and everyone else has already left. I'm heading out too, and I think you should consider it."

Celestia, still engrossed in her work, looked up with a tired smile.
"Okay, okay. I suppose you're right. Besides, the drive home takes over an hour. I might as well call it a day."

With a nod, Mark and Celestia walked together through the expansive, polished hallways of Invincio Rifles. The grandeur of the surroundings, once so familiar, now seemed more subdued in the soft light of the setting sun. They exchanged a brief but genuine farewell as they reached the main entrance.

"See you tomorrow, Tia. Don't work too hard," Mark said, his voice tinged with a hint of concern.

"Goodnight, Mark. Drive safely," Celestia replied, her tone more relaxed than earlier but still carrying an undertone of exhaustion.

They parted ways, each heading towards their respective cars. Clesetia's sleek Lambo glided smoothly out of the parking lot, while Mark's car followed shortly behind. The evening air was cool and crisp, a sharp contrast to the intensity of their workday.

As Celestia navigated the city streets, she watched Mark's car pull ahead, his wave shrinking into the distance. His gesture, though small, was a comforting reminder that someone cared-a rare solace especially when she had a knack for burning the candle at both ends.

Yet, a larger problem loomed on the horizon-her kitchen. She recalled the disastrous state it had been in earlier that morning and hesitated as she approached her front door, only to find it slightly ajar. A twinge of unease settled over her as she pushed the door open and stepped into her opulent home.

Determined to avoid the kitchen, she headed toward the living area, but the tantalizing aroma of a sumptuous meal cut through her resolve like a beacon. Her stomach growled in protest, a rhythmic reminder of her growing hunger. The rich, savory scent beckoned her, filling the air with the promise of comfort and satisfaction, tugging her toward the source. Her brow furrowed in confusion-who could have prepared this feast? Her mother would have mentioned a visit, but there had been no word from her.

As she entered the kitchen, she was greeted by a sight that defied all expectations. On the gleaming countertop was a lovingly arranged plate of cheesy enchiladas, their golden, melted cheese bubbling enticingly. Beside them sat a bowl of mole sauce, its deep, complex aroma filling the room with a rich, earthy scent. Her heart skipped a beat-enchiladas were her absolute favorite, with their gooey cheese and comforting texture, and mole sauce, with its intricate blend of spices and flavors, was notoriously challenging to perfect.

Her eyes roamed over the pristine kitchen, once a battlefield of culinary chaos, was now immaculate and shining, a far cry from the chaotic mess she had left behind. The transformation was nothing short of miraculous.

Her mind raced, trying to piece together this culinary enigma. "Who could have pulled off this delightful surprise?" she wondered aloud. The notion of someone swooping in to clean and cook seemed like a plot twist straight out of a soap opera, and she mentally chastised herself for even entertaining such a fantastical idea.

Just as she was about to delve deeper into the mystery, the doorbell rang, its chime slicing through her thoughts like a sudden revelation. With her curiosity piqued and her appetite stirred by the delectable meal, Tia moved toward the door, eager to uncover the identity of the mysterious benefactor-or to discover what other surprises awaited her.
