Lilliana ran around the castle giggling, as her father chased after her.

"Get back here my little princess." He playfully called. Lilliana squealed as her father hoisted her into the air. He threw her up then caught her, both laughing. He set her down and grabbed her hand. Walking down the marble halls the King and Princess walked down the hall. Lilliana was wearing a little white dress and a bow in her hair. She was turning seven today. Her mother hadn't said anything to her but that was normal. Her father had entered her room with pancakes and strawberries, and a small vase filled with daisies. King Herald had showed her how to make daisy chains. He made a mini crown for her and after much begging from Lilliana he made his own crown. As they strode through Lilliana's doorway, after Ana dressed her, the guards who were posted at her door stiffled their laughs. The king didn't mind. As long as his daughter was laughing he would do anything. Now they walked hand in hand outside. They went to their special hideout. It was a mini clearing with daisies growing on the rim of it. For the rest of the day, the king spent time with his princess. Making daisy chains for her as she ran around giggling.

But then a guard rushed out.

Bowing quickly he spoke, Lilliana hid behind her father as he stood. "Sir! The council wishes to see you immediately. A war has brewed between Milan and Calivey."

"Alright. Tell them I will be right there. I need to return Lilli to her room." He replied.

"Sir! They need you there immediately!" The guard said frantically.

The kind pondered this for a few seconds. With a sigh he said, "Fine then. Return Lilli to her room. I will head to the council room." Lilli watched her father leave, then stared up at the guard who was meant to escort her.

Lifting a daisy chain from the ground that her father had not finished she fiddled with it in her fingers. Looking back up to the man she held it up. "C-Can I get more flowers?" She asked quietly. He nodded and smiled. Picking a handful of daisies he returned to her side.

"Will these do Princess?" He asked kindly. She nodded and smiled. Taking the flowers in her hands she smiled. "Let's get you back to your room princess." Again Lilliana nodded. The guard walked Lilliana back to her room where Ana sat quietly reading.

"Ana! Ana! Look what father made me!" Lilliana exclaimed. She raced over to Ana with the daisies in hand and the chains on her head.

"They look beautiful Lilli. Thank you Edward for bringing her back. You are excused." The guard, Edward nodded and left the room, quietly closing the doors behind him. "So Lilli what did your father teach you this time?" Ana asked as her and Lilliana sat on the window seat.

"Father taught me how to make daisy chains, then he had a meeting..." Lilli hated it when her father left her, but it was his duties. Ana realized her change in mood and took a daisy.

"Why don't we make the biggest chain we can?" She said with a smirk on her face. There will be other days that father and I can play. Lilliana thought.

But there wouldn't be.
