The butler probably hasn't ever ran as fast as he was running now to get into Audrey's room.

He sprinted up those steep stairs of the hotel and was about to push the door to her apartment open when suddenly the door just simply didn't open.

It was locked, with a key, making it unbreakable to mankind.

"Fuck!" Jean cursed, which he also usually never did.

However, the man with his rapid thinking and rush of adrenaline quickly remembered that he had a copy of his boss's room keys.

So he didn't need to search for too long before he found a way to finally let himself inside the woman's apartment.

"HELLLLPPP!" Audrey's voice could be almost immediately heard.

Without hesitation Jean rushed to the balcony where he knew he'd find his boss.

Indeed there she was, except the designer woman didn't look like she was in danger, instead she was the one intimidating the supervillain using a broom she'd constantly hit him with.

"JE-ARMAND!" Audrey's eyes lit up as she saw her butler. "Help me with this-" But before she could've finished her sentence, another voice shrieked up:

"SAVE ME!" Hawk Moth cried in the corner of the balcony, all curled up. "JUST HAVE MERCY ON ME GODDAMN IT!"

"AAA!!!" The woman got so scared that she started hitting him again and again. "It even talks!"

"Well yes Madame, it is a human." Jean calmly said, yet this didn't at all calm Audrey down.

"Ewwwww! Even worse." she was visibly disgusted.

The man beside her clearly saw it too, therefore it didn't take long before the butler with a swift movement would take the broom out of his superior's hand and step in front of her protectively.

While this was happening Hawk Moth saw the opportunity to stand up, at least that way he could possibly escape easier.

"HEY!" Jean shouted "STOP MOVING!!"

"I mean no harm!" The Moth man calmly mumbled after he slowly got up, holding his hands as if he would be held at gunpoint, though all Jean had against him was a broom.

Still, Gabriel wouldn't have wanted to risk getting beaten once again, because of this he made sure to straighten himself in the least threatening way possible, but that all seemed to fail as the designer lady almost immediately exclaimed loudly:

"EWWW WHY IS HE SO TALL?!" Audrey was still whining behind her butler.

"I-I d-don't know Madame!" The man whispered also quite scared.

However, Hawk Moth didn't use their fear to his advantage, instead he tried to keep the conversation as friendly as possible.

"Let's make a deal..." Said the villain "...you put down that broom, let me escape from here, and everything will be back to normal, okay?" The tall man tried to force a smile onto his face in order to appear a little more harmless, except the sharp sound of police sirens turned Hawk Moth's expression into a stern and cold one.

"Shit." He thought to himself. "She called the fucking police."

In the meantime Jean was unsure how to answer.

"I-..." He glanced over to his boss who seemed startled at the unexpected stare from the butler.

"What?!" She spat. "Don't give me that dumb look of yours Armand!"

"Madame should I-"

"WHATEVER!" Audrey's voice unexpectedly yelled at the supervillain "JUST GET OUT OF MY SIGHT YOU UGLY CREATURE! RIDICULOUS! UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!"

"I-ugly?" Gabriel under the suit felt a little offended.

He would've loved to see the look on the woman's face if she could've found out that it was him who was Paris's most wanted villian.

However, despite it being a funny idea, the grey haired man knew he couldn't allow that to actually happen.

So, with the quick shake of his head Hawk Moth straighten himself even more before beginning to move alongside the edge of the railing of the balcony.

"Excuse me miss but you have no right calling me ugly, especially not when you're the woman who wears glitter all the time." The tall man scoffed. "What are you? A child?"

With that Hawk Moth gave one last scary look to the humans in front of him, making them step back and allowing himself to jump off into the distance, leaving both Jean and Audrey absolutely shocked.

"What the-"

"Madame let's go inside, shall we?" The butler said before anything else could've happened.

He wouldn't have wanted to risk the supervillain coming back or anything further of a bad thing occurring to his boss.

Because of this, Jean quickly guided Audrey inside and surprisingly enough the designer didn't argue this time.

She nodded, without a word walked into her room and then sat down on the side of her bed, though throughout all this the woman was having a sad, hurt expression painted all over her face.

Jean hadn't noticed his superior's upset mood yet since his back was facing her while he closed the door of the balcony and also pulled the curtains so no one could see inside.

It was only when he turned around that the man spotted Audrey's destroyed looking self.

"Armand?" Even her voice sounded broken.

It wasn't the usual annoying, loud type of voice she used to yell at people with, it was a much softer and quieter voice which almost sounded like a whisper.

"Yes madame?"

"D-do you think glitter is childish to w-wear-"

She couldn't even finish her sentence before the butler interrupted:

"Audrey."

He used her real name like never before.

In that moment the designer herself felt a little shocked too hearing her own name being pronounced by Jean.

"Don't think about that." He said while taking a seat next to his boss. "You're the Queen of Style, so why do you care if some dumb moth thing insults you?"

"I-I-well-"

"You should be aware of who you are." the butler carefully placed his hand on the side of Audrey's face and lifted it up like that.

Now she was looking at him and not the floor.

"Don't let things like this bother you." Jean finished his sentence while keeping straight eye contact with his superior.

The man could slowly see small tears start to form in her eyes, except before he could've said or done anything about them, the butler felt a pair of arms tightly wrap around him.

"T-thank you, Armand." Audrey whispered, and as Jean looked a little down, there she was,
hugging him.

In the meantime Hawk Moth was enjoying the fact that he was free, or at least free from getting beaten by a broom.

He wasn't fully free though since the police had been sent after him, and just as predicted, the man was heading to Mayura's place.

There he would hope to seek shelter while also apologizing to the woman.

Little did he know Nathalie wasn't at all planning to cooperate with him, in fact, as soon as the woman had gotten home she made sure to lock every single possible entrance to her apartment.

Though Hawk Moth only became slightly aware of this once he arrived at the window he always used to sneak through and it was shut tight, even the curtains were pulled in front of it, therefore there was no way for the villain to enter or to see inside.

"Mayura?" He knocked on the glass. "Are you home?!"

Nathalie of course heard this while hiding in that apartment, but she held herself back from answering, she knew that was the right thing to do.

Despite everything, the grey haired man in front of her window didn't stop;

"May?!" He shouted again while knocking, this time even more intensely. "It's me the Moth man! A-and I really need your help if you can hear me!"

The assistant still didn't give in.

She stayed exactly where she was, hiding in her dark closet while the villain outside her home started to get louder;

"I'm being chased by the police!" Hawk Moth's voice was desperately yelling at this point. "Please! Help! I-I can't go back home because then they might see where I live and find out my real identity, so you're all I have left to trust. Please May! I know you're in there."

Yet no matter how heartfelt this all sounded, the dark haired woman didn't move.

She simply sighed and wiped away those tiny water droplets which were forming in her eyes.

"Miss Nathalie-" her little kwami noticed how unwell her owner was, and she tried to help, but Nathalie wished to isolate herself from everything as well as everyone, so she just spat:

"Hush Duusu!"

"But miss!" The peacock didn't listen "he sounds so-"

"No! I-I can't allow it to happen! I won't let him in!"

"Well just think about what he would do if you'd be in this kind of trouble!" Duusu knew this would make the assistant's heart ache even more.

She could feel the woman's emotions grow sadder and sadder.

Indeed the kwami's idea was working perfectly, however, Nathalie tried to stay as strong as she could.

"Shut up Duusu!"

"I'm sure Hawk Moth would without hesitation rush to your help and do anything."

"Duusu you aren't helping!"

"I don't want to! I think it's plain wrong what you're doing right now; betraying a friend who is a villian just like you."

"Duusu!"

"You know it's true miss." The kwami continued no matter how hard her owner tried to stop her. "You are on the same team, against the heroes...and" she grinned before adding: "you also both love each other."

"WHAT?!"

To be continued-
