I roamed the halls as I do every study hall period. I've done enough studying so I feel as though I don't need to do anymore.

I stuffed my hands in my pockets and huffed. This past month was taking a toll on me. All this avoiding. I was honestly becoming annoyed with the fact that I had to leave every time she came around just so I wouldn't look at her. And now I find myself staring at her every chance I got. It drove me insane. I couldn't wrap my mind around what was so special about that pink haired girl.

Metallica's Fade to Black played through the earbuds of my phone as I continued to walk. I closed my eyes and listened to the lyrics.

Life, it seems, will fade away
Drifting further everyday
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters, no one else.

I took in a deep breath and began humming the tune of the song.

Thud!

I smacked into someone and found myself stumbling backwards. I caught myself before I fell and looked up seeing Sakura with folders scattered all over the floor and her sitting there. I walked over and helped her gather the folders before I offered to help her to her feet. She quickly took the folders and went to scurry away but I grabbed her wrist. Why? I dont know.

She turned and gazed up at me. My mouth went dry. She looked confused and shocked all at the same time. I stared at her for a moment. She wore a bleached up Metallica cropped shirt, high waisted shorts, black thigh high socks and black Vans. Her hair was hanging down her back silky straight. I felt myself getting ready to blush but I quickly snapped myself out of it.

"What are you doing out of class?" I asked her as I plucked an earbud out my ear. She blinked a few times as I finally let go of her wrist.

"I should be asking you the same thing." She replies smartly.

I blinked. "Where are you going?" I ask.

"To take these folders to Mrs. Senju." She replies. "I'm her student aid for the period."

I then reach out and take the folders.

"What are you doing?" She asks.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" I tell her as I take the folders. I began walking, forcing her to jog a little to catch up to me.

The both of us walked side by side in silence. She kept sneaking glances at me and I gave a sigh.

"Go ahead and ask." I tell her.

She frowns, drawing her lips into a thin line.

"Okay." She huffs. "Why have you been avoiding me?"

I chuckle. "You can't ask that." I say.

"You literally just told me to ask you." She says flatly.

"You cant ask me that though." I say again. "I thought you would ask me why did I start talking to you."

"Okay," She nods. "So why did you start talking to me?"

"Because I got tired of avoiding you." I reply.

"So why have you been avoiding me?"

"For my own personal reasons I don't want to share." I cut my eyes at her to see her rolling hers to the ceiling. I tucked the folders under my left arm and used my right hand to run my fingers through her hair. Surprisingly, it was soft to touch.

"So is this your hair?" I asked pulling it. She yelped and stared at me.

"Yes it is!" She grits. "And I'd appreciate it if you didn't pull it."

"Why is that a kink of yours or something?" I ask pulling it again. She slapped my chest.

"Ow Sasuke stop it!" She whines casuing my heart to pound in my chest. We finally reached Mrs. Senju's office and I gave Sakura the folders. She took them and smiled softly at me.

"Thank you." She says as she turns around. Again, I grab her arm. I don't know why, but she looked at me with expectancy.

"W-would you and uh, Hinata like to go off campus with Naruto and I for Lunch?"

Her eyes widened and her cheeks became red. She looked down at our hands before tilting her head to the side and looking up at me. A small smile formed on her lips.

"S-sure." She replies. "I'd like that. See you at lunch."

"Yeah, see you."

I quickly turned away from Sasuke and headed into the office. I walked past Shizune, the secretary and right into the principal office. She looked up at me shortly before waving me to come closer. I placed the folders on her desk.

"Here are the files you wanted Mi'lady."

"Thank you Sakura." She says. "And how many times do I have to tell you to call me either Tsunade or Mrs. Senju?"

I use my index finger to scratch my cheek. "Sorry."

"Don't apologize." She smiles warmly at me. "I saw you walking with the Uchiha boy, do you like him?"

My face became red. "Uh, no ma'am why you ask?"

She sighed and shrugged. "It's just weird to see him with someone other than my grandson."

I raised an eyebrow. "Grandson?"

Her golden orbs traveled up to me. "The idiot blonde." She chuckles.

"N-Naruto?!"

She nods.

"Wow Mrs. Senju, I thought you were in your Thirties." I tell her stunned at how beautifully young she looks to be a grandmother.

She chuckles as she blushed. "Shucks Sakura don't flatter me." She waved me off.

"But I'm serious!" I tell her as I sat in front of her desk. "I hope I still look young when I get your age."

She smiled at me. "So you and Uchiha, what are the two of you doing together?"

"We just bumped into eachother on my way to deliver the folders to you and I kinda fell." I rubbed the back of my neck. "So he helped me pick them up and brought them with me."

Mrs. Senju blinked slowly. I blushed.

"Well, Uchiha is a handsome fellow." She says. "He and his brother, who graduated two years ago. But Sasuke isnt really the social butterfly his brother is. Which is why I don't understand how he and my grandson are the best of friends." She sighed. "Who woulda thought he would've taken a liking to you?" She smiled. "Don't take it the wrong way, you're a beautiful girl Sakura, I just wouldn't expect him to be around you."

"Well our best friend's are dating." I add.

"Ah the Hyuga girl is your best friend?" She asked and I nod in confirmation.

"She's such a sweet girl." She huffs. "Okay let me get back to work. Help Shizune in front and please close my door on your way out."

"Yes ma'am." I say as I stood. I walked out of her office and closed the door. Shizune stood in front of the Teacher's mail cubby's stuffing them with papers. She looked my way and smiled.

"Hey Sakura can you help me put these flyers in the teacher's boxes?" She asked.

"Yeah sure." I say walking over. I took a stack from her and began helping.

"So you and Sasuke," She smirks without even looking at me. "You two are cute. I couldn't help but overhear him asking you to a double date during lunch period."

"It's not a date Shizune!" I tell her getting flustered. She giggled.

"Chill out Sakura, I'm only teasing." She says. She turns to me. "You like him though, don't you?"

I sighed. "I do think he's cute." I confess. God, I feel awful. I haven't even told Hinata this. "But I dont know him at all to like him."

"Yeah he's a complicated one." She says.

The bell rings loudly signaling that the period was over and it was now lunch. I grabbed my things saying goodbye to Shizune and Mrs. Senju before heading out of the main office. I was greeted by alot of students roaming the halls. I spotted some blonde spikes among them and began jogging to catch up to them.

"Naruto!" I say calling out his name. He turned and smiled waiting for me to catch up.

"Hey Sakura." He smiled. We began walking. "So uh, Sasuke told me you and Hinata are coming to lunch with us today."

I nod and began telling him the things that occurred that lead up to the lunch. He nods and smiles.

"It's working." He mumbles before pulling out his phone.

"What's working?" I ask. He looks up at me and shakes his head.

"Oh nothing don't mind me." He chuckles.

I finally met up with them and Naruto took me in his arms, stuffing his face into the crook of my neck. He inhaled deeply then slowly exhaled, tickling my neck.

"I needed this." He says. "I haven't touched you all day."

He's definitely lying. He's so over exaggerative. But it's cute. He nuzzles into me more and I slowly wrap my arms around his torso. He placed several kisses on my neck before he straightened his posture.

"Hey." Sakura says to us. Her eyes scanned the area for a bit before they landed on Naruto and I once more.

"Hey." I tell her.

"Did you get my message?" She asks.

I shook my head. Pulling my phone out my pocket I went to my messages.

From Sakura🌸👭:
Sasuke invited the both of us to an off campus lunch with him and Naruto. 🤔 i have to tell you everything.

I looked over at her at the same time I showed Naruto the message. We tried our best to keep a poker face.

"Wow." He says. "T-that's, surprising." Naruto blinked.

"What is?" Sasuke's voice greeted us from behind Sakura. She turned around and looked up at him and he looked at her briefly before looking over at Naruto and me. "Are yall ready?"

"Hm, yeah." Naruto says letting go of me and taking my hand in his. The four of us began walking out of the school. We made our way to the student parking lot and to Sasuke's car. He unlocked the doors and Naruto and I quickly got in the back forcing Sakura to sit in the front with Sasuke.

"So where are we going?" Naruto asks.

"I was gonna ask you the same thing." Sasuke replies. "We had burgers the other day."

"Pizza?" I suggest.

"Im fine with pizza." Sakura says turning to face us. Sasuke looked down at her from the driver seat and started the car.

"Pizza it is then."

The drive was silent. Other than Naruto and Sakura singing the songs that played on the radio.

We finally reached the pizza parlor and Sasuke found a good parking space before we all got out of the car. We walked inside, placed our orders and took a seat in a booth. Naruto and Sasuke sat across from Sakura and I. I could see my best friend blushing as Sasuke rested his chin in his hand and closed his eyes.

"Tired?" Naruto asked him.

"No, just waiting on the food while the three of you talk amongst yourselves."

"Why can't you engage in conversation too?" Sakura asks. His eyes slightly opened and immediately locked with hers.

"Does the sound of my voice impact you in a way that you wish to hear it in this conversation?" He smirked after the words left his mouth. Naruto and I locked eyes. Sasuke was.......flirting.

"Don't flatter yourself Sasuke." Sakura replies slightly flustered. "I was just asking. It might be a topic you may want to discuss."

"There isnt." He says.

Sakura nods. She looks over at Naruto who was sipping his soda.

"Naruto, you're his best friend right?" She asks. Naruto looks at her and nods.

"So why has he been avoiding me?"

"Oh that's because he- OOOOOOW!" Naruto yelped and cut his eyes at Sasuke whose posture never changed. You'd think that whatever he did to Naruto under the table, he didnt really do.

Sakura looked at Sasuke as his eyes opened yet again to stare at her.

"You're sticking your nose where it doesn't belong Pinky." He says.

She frowned. "My nose definitely belongs in it if it concerns me dont you think?" She crosses her arms over her chest.

Naruto chuckles. "Looks like you've finally met your match Sasuke." He says.

"Don't give her such a name for herself." He replies. His eyes never left Sakura; and hers never left his.

Our pizza arrived at the table and we began eating. Once we finished, we threw our trash away and headed for Sasuke's car. We got in and started our journey back to the school. By the time we got there, the bell for class rung.

I began my journey to class with Sasuke. I felt a tug on my wrist and turned to be greeted by a frowning Naruto.

"What?" I asked worried.

"You're just gonna walk away?" He says. "No kiss or anything?"

Giggling I walked into his arms and stood on my tip toes. I threw my arm around his neck and placed a sweet kiss on his lips. He smiled into the kiss before we pulled apart.

"Thank you." He says. "I love you."

"I love you too Naruto." I reply. We hugged eachother tightly before we went our seperate ways. I turned seeing Sasuke tug on Sakura's hair only for her to sock him in the center of his chest.

"Cut it out Sasuke!" She yells. "You fish-eyed bastard!"

"Oou good one." He smirks at her while rubbing the spot she hit him.

"I liked it better when you were avoiding my existence." She frowns and crosses her arms. "Naruto lets go." She walked towards me and hugged me. "I'll see you after school."

"No you wont." Sasuke says sticking his hands in his pockets. "Hinata is studying with Naruto and I at my place today."

Sakura frowned. I honestly don't remember agreeing to this.

"Huh?" I say.

"Hinata dont tell me you forgot that it was my turn to host the study group."

Oh! Right.

"S-sorry Sasuke."

"I've been to every study group." Sakura says.

"Okay?" He says. "And you're gonna be absent to this one."

"Dont be so mean Sasuke," Naruto says. "She can come. Just make sure your room is actually clean this time."

Sasuke frowned. "My room is always clean unlike yours." His attention then turns to Sakura. "Are you coming?"

"Oh so now I'm so invited?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Are you coming or not?" He blinked hard, obviously frustrated with Sakura's smartness.

"I'll think about it if I have a ride." She says.

"You can ride with us Sakura." Naruto says.

"So how am I getting home?" She replies.

"Oh god I don't have time for this." Sasuke huffed and walkes away.

"Knowing I could get under his skin like this is satisfying." Sakura smirks. She looks over at me. "See you after school."

"Yeah." I say as I began walking to catch up to Sasuke.

"Your friend is annoying." He says.

"Is she, or are you feeling a way because she stands toe-to-toe with you?" I ask.

"Shes annoying." He says again. "She asks questions she already knows the answer to."

I giggle. "She was genuine." I tell him. "Out of all of us, only You, Shikamaru , Choji and Ino drives. We technically dont meet up untill 4:00-4:30 no later than 5:00. She doesn't know that you, her , me and Naruto live somewhat close to eachother. Give her a break. You just like her that's all."

He grunted and a blush formed on his face. "Shut up Hinata." He says. "You sound like your idiot boyfriend."

"Well he's not that much of an idiot if he pays attention to his best friend's behavior am I right?"

He looks down at me. "You're annoying."

"Everyone is annoying to you Sasuke that isnt gonna stop me from talking."

He huffed as we turned into class.

Naruto, Hinata , Sakura and I walked into my home. My brother sat on the couch reading a book with his pet ferret sitting on his lap. That little weasel always gave me the creeps. He looked up at us and smiled.

"Welcome home Sasuke." He says. "Hello, Naruto; Hinata."

"Hey." They replied. He closed his book and stood making his ferret move to the other side of the couch. He walked over to us. His attention om Sakura.

"Hello, I don't believe we met before." He says. "I'm Itachi, Sasuke's older brother." He stuck his hand out and she politely stuck her hand in his.

"I'm Sakura, Hinata's best friend."

"Aaaaaah." He says eyeing me. A smirk fell upon his lips. "So y-"

"This way." I tell them cutting my brother off and walking towards my room. I even grabbed Sakura's wrist and dragged her away. Once we reached my room I pushed the door open and waited for all of them to walk in before I walked in myself. I shut my door ans placed my satchel down whole everyone else got comfortable. Before I knew it my brother was at my door.

"Anybody want anything to drink?" He asks.

"May I have a water please?" Sakura was the first to speak.

"Of course." He replies with a closed eyed smile. His eyes then lock on to me. "Sasuke, do you mind helping me?"

"Yes." I reply.

He chuckled. "I-I don't think I was asking you little brother." His eyes narrowed and so did mine. Knowing I wasn't gonna win this stare down, I sighed heavily and made my way to the kitchen behind him. He pulled out the water bottles out of the fridge. He set them on the island table and as I went to reach for it. He retracted it back. My lazy gaze met his amused onyx crystals.

"What Itachi." I say dryly.

"That's her?" He asks like a child being told they can have a piece of candy. I try to reach for the water again and he pulls it back more. "Is it?"

"Yes!" I harshly whisper. "Now give me the damn water Itachi!"

"She's cute brother." He chuckles. "You shouldn't avoid her anymore."

I frown. "Shes here isnt she?"

"Hm, good point." He smiles stupidly.

"You're enjoying this arent you?"

"Very much." He says chuckles.

"I can't believe you almost told her I talk to you about her." I say finally snatching the waters out his hands. He laughed.

"I just wanted to see you squirm." He replies with a smile.

"I dislike you." I tell him walking away. "Just so you know."

He laughed as he followed closely behind me.

* Few Hours Later *

I laid stretched out over my books and notes before I gave a yawn.

I watched as Sakura bit into a perfect square cut sandwich that Itachi made for everyone as she hummed Bruno Mars' That's What I Like. Her strawberry hair slowly falling over her shoulder as she continues on her homework. Her long eyelashes fanning against her cheeks as she blinked. Her dimples appearing and disappearing as she slowly chewed the sandwich. Dimples. I noticed them today when we were at the pizza parlor. They emerge when she smiles, laugh, and eat. It was cute. My phone buzzed loudly and I quickly grabbed it looked at who it was from. Naruto. I unlocked my phone to reply.

Tell them to mind their business and study. I wasn't staring, I glanced.

Ino yawns from next to me.

"I'm done." She says slamming her books close. "Same time next week?"

"Yeah, my house is next." Naruto says with a chuckle.

"Make sure your room is clean this time Naruto." Temari spoke. "We're not sitting in the middle of ramen cups and clothes anymore."

The others laughed.

"Sakura, do you nee a ride?" Ino asked.

"Uhm, well I'm not done with my work yet." She slumped down. "I guess I can fin-"

"She's fine." I say. "I'll take her. I have to take Naruto and Hinata anyway."

Ino eyes me with a smirk on her face. "Ookay." She says. She and the others began grabbing their things. After saying their goodbyes, they left leaving me, Sakura , Naruto and Hinata. I placed my forehead on the table and closed my eyes. I was so tired.

After about another thirty minutes, Itachi knocked lightly on my door and opened it.

"Dinner is ready if you guys are hungry." He says.

"Thanks Itachi I'm starving!" Naruto says. There was a shuffle then everything went quiet. I looked up seeing that only Sakura remained in my room. She looked up at me shortly before looking down at her work.

"You arent hungry?" I ask.

She shook her head and ahe continued her work. "No."

"You should go eat before you end up with a headache." I tell her.

Again, she lifts her head up to look at me. "Are you caring about my health Sasuke?"

I felt myself blushing as I looked away from her. "Don't flatter yourself."

"You should eat yourself then if that's the case."

"Shut it Pinky."

"Stop calling me that." She frowns.

"Then what shall I call you?"

"I would greatly prefer my name." She says.

"Okay Pinky."

"That's not my name Duck Butt."

"Duck butt?"

"Yes duck butt since we're talking about hair."

"My hair reminds you of a duck butt?"

"You don't think so?" She leans forward on the table. "Have you looked at yourself in the mirror when you do your hair? Or is that just a permanent bedhead you have goin on there?"

God her witty remarks are killing me. I couldn't hide the smirk that formed on my face even if I tried.

"You and that smart mouth of yours is gonna get you in a world of trouble little girl." I tell her.

"Is that a threat Uchiha?"

"I don't make threats you Green-Eyed Monster."

"I would like to think not you Fish-Eyed bastard."

"Why fish?"

"Because your eyes just look dead and lifeless."

"That's because I am dead and lifeless."

"Wow, that's deep. You should definitely be a poet." She says. "Sasuke Allen Poe."

I snorted. "You're annoying."

"So I've been told"

After Naruto and Hinata ate, it was time for them to go. I grabbes my keys and we all began to leave.

"It was nice having you here." Itachi says to them. "I hope to see more of you around Sakura. It was nice meeting you."

Sakura smiles showing her dimples. "Thank you Itachi. It was a pleasure meeting you as well. If only I could say the same about your brother."

I pulled her hair making her hit me.

"Stop it!" She whines.

We walk out of the house and too my car. I dropped Naruto off first, Then Hinata. Sakura was last. I pulled up to her home that she helpfully navigated me to. She unbuckled her seatbelt.

"Thank you." She says softly. I look at her. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow if you're not avoiding me." She looks over at me before opening the door and getting out. I watched as she walked around the front of my car and up to her home. She unlocked the door and walked inside. Putting the car in reverse, I backed out of her driveway sighing.

Sakura, this pink haired girl is going to drive me insane.
