The bodyguards finally arrived around thirty minutes later but by then, Ire had already prodded me all about the incident and I had told him all I knew, even my assumptions.
All through the interrogation, he kept nodding at intervals as if he had discovered something new before jotting it down on his phone.
I found myself wondering if he was also a private investigator since he was introduced as a bodyguard but I couldn't bring myself to ask. I was too busy fighting the attraction I felt to him, being rude and also checking him out.
He left the room some couple of minutes ago to give out instructions to the two guys that arrived earlier. On seeing them, I had gulp down my saliva in fear as I stare at their non smiling expression and big chest. Unlike someone I knew, they were the exact replica of a perfect bodyguard.
"I'm leaving now, I'll be back tomorrow morning." He said, bringing out his wallet from his trouser.
He hands me a complimentary card saying, "Call me if there's anything wrong but Samson and Ayo will be outside if you need anything, they will also check on you from time to time."
"Aren't I going to be paying you to guard, I'm sure it's double the regular price so why are you leaving?" I asked rudely, not taking the card but deep down, I didn't want him to leave. In a weird and confusing way, I enjoyed his company.
"Firstly, you aren't paying me. I believe Tunde is and also my company charges a fixed price." He said, grabbing my hands and placing the card in my palm before closing my palm around the card.
"Take care princess." He said, leaving the room. My closed palm turned into a tight fist as I screamed silently.
"What's wrong with this guy and pet names. First it was baby girl, now it's princess." I thought annoyed, flinging the card across the room angrily.
Calming down, I realised I actually needed his help and that I would need to learn to deal with him. Sighing, I stare at the card across the room as I lay down on the bed properly. I contemplated on going to pick it up as I fall asleep.

I was having a dream, a very colorful dream but I couldn't remember what it was about, probably about studio shooting or stage but a noise ruined it and I found myself waking up slowly. I look around groggily wondering where my queen sized bed had disappeared to.
Then it hit me, "I was in the hospital due to a gunshot from someone trying to kill me." My eyes flew open immediately.
I quietly look around but saw nothing out of the ordinary. I was about to scold myself for overreacting and go back to sleep when I saw a shadow near the window. I gasp silently, holding my hands tightly around my mouth and shiver in fear as an invisible cold starts to catch me.
The shadow held a knife up in a ready to strike manner that I've seen in movies a thousand times, the curtain was barely covering the intruder since it was wide open but he somehow managed to hide behind the small covered part.
I weigh my options as, I thought about pretending to be asleep but I knew it would only make the person go ahead with whatever plan he had even if it included killing me.
I thought about calling someone but decided against it since he would kill me if he knew I was about to alert someone so taking my chances, I screamed as loud as I can.
Samson and Ayo rushed in just as the intruder jumped out of the window.
"What happened ?!" They asked simultaneously.
"H...he.... he ju..m....pe......d o....u...t of th.....e win....dow." I manage to say as Ayo rush to the window shouting something to Samson who rushed out of the room.
I didn't realize I was shaking until the nurse who had rushed into the room on hearing the noise hugged me and started uttering soft reassurance to my ear. On hearing the words, I began to cry.
Shocked, I tried to stop the tears but I couldn't. I kept crying even in front of the bodyguards who decided it was safe to stay in my room instead until Ire and a different guy arrive.
Immediately Ire entered the room, he whispered something to the nurse who immediately release her hold on me and left the room with Ayo and Samson right behind Ire who also left the room.
"Hi." The unknown guy said smiling at me, it was a comfortable and warm smile that was suppose to make me feel safe but It didn't. I was too scared.
"Hi." I muttered , my voice cracked showing I had cried.
"I'm Richard Daniels, I'm a private investigator." He said as I nod at him to proceed.
"I heard the brief already from Ire so you don't have to tell the story again but tonight can you tell me what happened?" He asked, the warm smile still on his face as I began to become a teeny bit comfortable around him.
I relay everything I remembered from the dream I was having, to hearing a sound that made me gain consciousness.
"So, did you see the intruder?" He asked me gently.
"No I didn't." I said, shaking my head.
"Can you identify if it was male or female?" He asked me, tilting his head to the side as if to help jog my memory.
"I think it's a guy because I kept thinking it was an he not a she." I replied truthfully.
"Hmmm, well I guess something must have made you think it was a guy so that's definitely something to check." He said, more to himself than I.
"Did you by any chance see the color of his clothes." He said as I try to remember but all I remember was a shadow. I was about to give up when all of a sudden, I remember him jumping out if the window when I was in panic.
"He was wearing a brown top and black jean. He was not really short or tall, he was about this tall." I explain, placing my hand a bit above my head to explain. "He was putting on a sneaker and there was something on his head." I said trying to remember what it was but couldn't.
"That's definitely very useful, thank you. Did you get a look at his face?" He asked.
"No, I didn't." I replied. He asked me a few more questions, stood up and checked the window area muttering something's to himself.
He opened the door to leave, leaving it open behind him with Samson and Ayo by the doorway. Ire entered some minutes later and closed the door behind him.
"Hey." He said, surprisingly in a casual and friendly tone.
"Hi." I muttered, still in shock about the whole thing.
"I'll stay with you tonight then we will move you to a much safer room tomorrow." He said quietly, a comfortable silence hung over us.
"I want to go home." I blurt out all of a sudden as tears well up in my eyes.
"You can't go home yet Tutu, you have to get better first." He said slowly as if talking to a deranged person.
"I want to go home." I said more firmly.
"You can't go home yet Tutu, try to understand." He said slowly again, getting on my nerves.
"Stop talking to me like I'm crazy." I yelled.
"Call me Lewa right now, I'm going home." I said, sitting up when he kept quiet after yelling at him.
"I can't call you Lewa or whatever her name is, it's 2:00am in the morning and if you are being considerate you would understand that people have to sleep. She has been here for 2 days, just because people work for you doesn't mean they have to die." He said sternly in a no nonsense voice.
"I pay her don't I." I said angrily as I pat around the bed for my phone. I found it under the bed and it wasn't until it was in my hand did I realize my hands were shaking.
I try to locate Lewa's number but It was like my head was jumbled, I felt rather than see the phone wanting to fall from my hands since water were threatening to flow from my eyes. Warm big hands envelop my hands as the water dam finally broke and I start to cry.
"I'm scared, I'm really scared." I said crying, my hands in his large hands and somewhere deep down in me, I finally felt safe after a long time.
